76 Chapter 76: Comet and His System

Inside a pleasant-looking hotel on the fifth floor, you could see a young man lying in bed, seemingly looking intently at something. However, the strange thing was there was nothing there except the ceiling, and the confusion only increased as he started poking his finger in the air.

While scrolling through the systems store function, Gel, the systems Fairy administrator, suddenly appeared a few inches before my face with her usual cheerful attitude.

"Congratulations, Comet! It has now officially been exactly three years since your reincarnation and your fusing with the Immortal Energy System! To celebrate, you'll be given a Saint lottery ticket!" Exclaimed Gel cheerfully as she flew around the room in excitement.

'Three years, huh? To think it's really been that long since I died. A lot has happened in those three years; beginning on the path of cultivation, meeting new and crazy people, losing my new mother, gaining a harem of lovers, and finally losing my virginity, which took two lifetimes.' Thought Comet with a slight smile while reminiscing about his life.

Shaking my head, I clicked on the inventory function and grabbed the glowing silver lottery ticket, and was about to use it when suddenly the system's usual light blue color turned dark red, and an emergency warning appeared, causing me to get startled as this has never happened before.

"G-Gel, what's happening!? This isn't part of the three-year celebration, is it?" Asked Comet as he quickly jumped out of bed and got into a fighting stance while scanning his surroundings.

"T-This, this isn't good. Two very powerful beings have suddenly arrived in this realm, and one is a Divine!" Said Gel solemnly, which was very rare coming from her, considering her optimistic personality.

"WHAT!? A Divine!? I thought you said Divine cultivators couldn't be here!?" Shouted Comet nervously before quickly calming down and searching through the systems store to see if there was anything that could protect him from a Divine.

"There's no point in looking through the store; anything that can harm or protect you from a Divine is locked until you at least reach the Saint realm. Also, I didn't ever say a Divine couldn't be in a Spirit realm; I said the chances of you encountering a Divine cultivator while still present in a Spirit realm was almost impossible!" Said Gel while walking back and forth through the sky with evident worry, as they currently have no way to confidently survive if they were to confront a Divine.

"Ugh! So what do we do then, Gel!? I'm only a peak Nascent Soul cultivator, and that's still a ways away from becoming a Saint, and let's not even mention the Heavenly Tribulation!" Exclaimed Comet as he grabbed his head in frustration and helplessness.

"I know, Comet! This isn't a good solution, but there aren't many options. Comet, go into the store, then go into the talisman section and buy the curse of destination." Said Gel while Comet listened to her instructions, though he showed a pained face when he saw the price of the talisman.

"T-That's all of the points I've managed to save throughout the years; I'll be left with practically nothing." Said Comet painfully as he looked at Gel.

"Well then, good job; all those years of saving might've just saved our lives, so stop hesitating and buy them!" Said Gel as she slapped the buy button for the talisman, though since she was only the administrator and not the owner, it did nothing.

With intense heartache, I reluctantly pushed the buy button, and the moment I did so, I saw how all of the extra points I'd managed to save throughout the years vanished, leaving me with only a couple hundred points. Checking my inventory with teary eyes, I summoned the two talismans into my hand and looked at Gel, waiting for her next instructions.

"Are you sure that'll even work? Didn't you say I can't buy anything that can harm or protect me from a Divine?" Asked Comet as he wiped his eyes, trying not to cry from the loss of points.

"Yes, I did, but these talismans are meant to merely inform you of their location at all times. Now it's not much, but at least it'll allow us to keep our distance from them, so we never encounter them, though if they ever set their sights on us, we are doomed. Anyways, chant some words while thinking of who you want to use it on, and the talisman will do the rest." Explained Gel, not sounding as optimistic as she usually does, though it would be hard to stay optimistic given the situation.

"Alright, here goes nothing. I cast thee curse upon thee Divine!" Said Comet while injecting his Qi into the talisman, causing it to glow brightly before suddenly vanishing from his hand.

"Did it work? Or are we about to die since they found out they just got cursed?" Asked Comet while preparing to use the second talisman on the other person who arrived with the Divine.

"Yes, it worked; just go to the map section, and you'll see a glowing red dot that signifies the Divine's location. Also, do you think I would've told you to do something If we might've gotten caught? At that point, it would be better to leave them alone." Said Gel, regaining some of her cheerfulness.

'Gel's right; I can see the glowing red dot, though they are much closer than I would like. I'll increase the distance between us tomorrow morning.' Though Comet as he looked at the map, which shows every place he's been to in detail, while the places he hasn't been are grayed out.

"Alright, if this talisman worked on the Divine, it should definitely work on the other person. I cast thee curse upon thee Divine's companion!" Said Comet, feeling much calmer about the whole situation, though that didn't last for long.

"Why didn't the talisman work? That's we-" Said Gel before she suddenly vanished, along with the system, causing Comet to think the worst.

"Gel? Gel, what happened? I know you enjoy your pranks, Gel, but now isn't the time. Answer me, Gel! Fine, I'll just force you to app-wait; why isn't my system responding!?" Exclaimed Comet as he tried opening his system for an entire hour before finally slumping back on the bed in defeat.

"Haa, I hope it's just one of those updates, and everything will be fine." Muttered Comet, feeling quite distressed.

"So, how about I take you to dinner and maybe get to know each other better? What you say?" Asked Comet as he tried flirting with a vendor selling fish, though she didn't seem that impressed.

"Are you buying the fish or not, Sir?" Replied the vendor blandly, causing Comet to feel quite awkward as he's used to having the system tell him how to make women fall in love with him.

"Y-Yeah, I'll take three keplo fish." Said Comet, quickly purchasing the fish before leaving the area.

'Haa, I really need the system back; I can hardly talk to girls without it. Quite depressing when I think about it; without the system, I wouldn't have managed to make my wives fall in love with me. I guess that just means the system is that powerful.' Thought Comet with a smile while ogling women he walked by on the side of the road.

While walking, I suddenly sensed an unbelievable amount of Qi appear in the distance, and what surprised me was the purity was the same as the Qi I got from the system. Feeling lucky, I began charging in that direction, only for me to instantly get immobilized by a strong pressure; worse was, I couldn't even pinpoint where it was coming from.

'You all will return to where you came from; any who disobeys will be slaughtered. No one will interrupt his highness.' Stated via divine sense.

Once the pressure finally disappeared, I nearly collapsed on the ground and began panting while clutching my heart; looking around, I noticed only two other people were in the same state as me, causing me to be slightly confused. After a couple of seconds, I finally stood back up, feeling much better, and heaved a sigh before turning around, as without my system active, I didn't want to engage in combat. While walking away, I noticed one person who was previously in the same state as me continuing toward the Qi, only for his body to be quickly squashed into a bloody meat pancake.

'Really glad, I turned around.' Thought Comet as he continued walking.

A few hours passed, and while I wanted to leave this city by now, the system still wasn't available, so I decided to wait; however, while walking, I came across a group of guards who were being ordered by a young noble to kidnap women.

"Hahaha, you three have caught this young master's eye, be lucky; you'll three will become sex slaves." Exclaimed the young noble lecherously as he ogled the three young women showing despaired faces.

Seeing such a scene, how could I stand by and do nothing, even if the system isn't available, I can't just do nothing; besides, the strongest one among them is only a middle Nascent Soul. since I couldn't access the systems inventory and equip my weapon, I snatched a sword hanging from a random nearby cultivator before quickly appearing behind one of the guards holding the women and decapitated him.

"Let the women go, and I may spare you!" Exclaimed Comet in his usual heroic aura; through to all the spectators, he just seemed like a stupid fool.

"YOU! How dare you interrupt this young master's fun and kill one of my guards! Kill him; I want him dead!" Ordered the young noble in outrage, prompting the guards to let go of the women and quickly engage in battle with Comet.

While I was fighting the guards, seemingly out of nowhere, a young girl, exuding a level of beauty I didn't think possible, appeared between the guards and I while easily negating both of our attacks.

"Cease this battle at once."
