Chapter : 16 Metting Jiwoo Seo

"Hm? Did I pass out again?" Kayden said as he regained consciousness, finding himself in an unfamiliar room. "Where is this place? It looks big," he muttered, observing his surroundings.

"Huh, this... I am a cat. I must have been able to transform at the last minute before losing my consciousness," Kayden thought to himself, examining his cat paws.

Suddenly, the door clicked open, and a young boy with light, cream-colored hair and amber doe eyes entered. "Huh! You're awake. I'm relieved. I was worried when I found you covered in blood and unconscious," the boy said with a sense of relief. "You're looking much better now," he added, noticing the healthy cat in front of him.

Kayden wondered, "Who is this doofus?" as he silently observed the boy.

The boy abruptly ran back outside, saying, "Just wait here, kitty. I'll be back." He returned with two bowls, explaining, "Sorry that took so long. I was getting you something to eat." He placed the bowls in front of Kayden.

"Why were you passed out there? You didn't look wounded or anything, but I figured you would have had wounds since you're bleeding and all. Did that blood come from somewhere else, or is there a wound somewhere else on your body? I am worried," the boy continued to chatter.

Frustrated with the boy's constant talking, Kayden mused, "This one's talkative. He's been at it non-stop," as he looked at the food suspiciously.

The boy slid a bowl of milk toward Kayden and said, "You must be hungry. Here, eat; it'll help you heal faster." In his mind, he added, "It's lactose-free milk for cats!"

But as soon as the boy opened a can of cat food and poured it into another bowl, Kayden was horrified. "How dare he! He wants me to eat cat food," Kayden grumbled.

With a big smile, the boy encouraged, "Here, eat this too, and be healthy."

"Hmph, this one thinks I'm a cat. I should eat up to heal more quickly," Kayden reluctantly decided, licking the milk. Suddenly, he got picked up by the young boy, who was eyeing his private parts. "Let's see, are you a boy or a girl? Let me check," the boy said.

Fuming with anger, Kayden growled, "You idiot, check what on me? Put me down!"

Confused, the young boy looked left and right, muttering, "Huh! What did I just hear? I heard a deep male voice. Did I leave the TV on?"

Another growl from Kayden followed, "Put me down! Can't you hear? Want me to put another hole in your head?" He flexed his sharp claws.

The cat talking startled the young boy, who stumbled backward. "What's going on? A talking cat?" he exclaimed.

"Shut up, you're too loud," Kayden retorted.

"Eek, I was right, the cat's talking!" the young boy said in horror.

Frustrated by the boy's incessant yapping, Kayden threatened, "What part of 'shut up' don't you understand? Do you want me to open up your skull with these claws?"

The young boy covered his mouth in fear, remaining silent.

"Right now, you're being quiet," Kayden noted. "Hey, what's your name?" he finally asked, looking the boy in the eye.

The boy could only manage a timid "Yes?"

"I said, what's your name?" Kayden asked again, locking eyes with him.

But the boy didn't answer, and in frustration, Kayden flexed his sharp claws once more, warning, "I don't like asking questions twice!"

"Jiwoo Seo," the boy said, his face filled with an apologetic expression.

"Yes, Jiwoo, bring me that chair," Kayden commanded, pointing with his paws.

"Yes? Huh!" Jiwoo looked confused.

Once again, Kayden growled, "Didn't I just tell you to not make me ask things twice?" He threatened, his claws poised.

Jiwoo immediately sprinted to fetch the chair. "Yes, sir," he said, placing the chair in front of Kayden and kneeling beside it.

As Kayden struggled to climb onto the chair, he grumbled, "Ugh, that's strange. Why is it so hard to climb?"

Finally settling onto the chair, he sighed, "Phew... My body's not well. I can't even climb."

As Kayden faced his belly toward Jiwoo, a hint of redness appeared on Jiwoo's cheeks, finding it cute.

Kayden finally found his balance on the chair and said, "Ah, that's right. You should remember what I say. If you utter a word about me to anyone else, you will... die." He emphasized his point by holding Jiwoo's collar with his claws.

Jiwoo meekly muttered, "Yes, sir."

Suddenly, Kayden glanced to the side, thinking he saw someone in the mirror. "Tsk, my cover was blown too soon," he remarked, only to realize it was just a cat.

"What's that fat? Hmph, look at that chin. That's not a cat," Kayden mused, but as he touched his plump belly, he realized, "What's this? That fat, plump cat... That's me?! I, the great Kayden?" He was taken aback by his own reflection.

Amid all these thoughts, Jiwoo watched, finding it cute.

As Kayden shouted and collapsed on the ground, Jiwoo rushed to his aid, saying, "Mr. Cat."

While Kayden was thinking, "The great Kayden is... puny... I am a cat, and I don't have the energy to transform into another animal."

Jiwoo shook Kayden and exclaimed, "Mr. Cat, don't die!"

"Stop," Kayden managed to say.

"You're alive," Jiwoo said with relief.

"I was never dead, just put me down," Kayden replied as Jiwoo carefully placed him back on the ground.

"I was surprised because you passed out... I'm glad you're okay," Jiwoo said again, still concerned.

"It's me who passed out. Why are you so surprised?" Kayden couldn't help but wonder about Jiwoo's reaction, finding it rather strange.
