The Little Shameless Orc

"Lucius Aurellion,"

"Railius Aurellion,"

"Zugbu Grazob"

"Three of the most outstanding generals I have ever had the displeasure of meeting or serving on the battlefield all were shameless generals who would do anything to win."

"One shuddered to imagine what evil Schemes any 2 of them could make if they ever worked together!"

Hugo Martínez Creator and Leader of House Martinez, a Chavarian Empire-based faction in Dynasties Online.

….

After listening to the skinny human tell him what he wants, Wurgoth finally got some time to himself, which he spent trying to clear his head and contemplate the moves he would make next. What surprised Wurgoth the most was the advanced humanlike AI which could make extremely effective battle tactics, and how they seemed to have feelings to the point that AI, which should be loyal to a particular country, could betray it if given the right motivation.

'Just how realistic is this new virtual world we find ourselves in!'

He thought to himself before shaking his head to snap his thoughts back to the situation at hand as he remembered an excellent scouting report given to him by a particular captain on the Chavarian army and immediately called out towards the two guards standing outside of his tent.

"Guards!"

Two large tusked, muscled, green-skinned, orcish guards thundered into the tent at the abrupt call from inside, their crude armour clinking softly as they entered, and the ground shook slightly as their heavy footsteps sent slight vibrations through the wet saturated soil.

"Here, General!"

They both replied as they bowed their heads in respect towards their formidable general, who could take their heads off before they could even blink! Unknown to them, however, Wurgoth was now controlled by a player who did not have much combat experience, something that the orcish player knew and tried to keep from his fellow brethren as orcish culture was based on rule by the strong tried to keep from his army as much as possible.

But what he had lost in strength, he made up for in intelligence as a modern educated person would be far better than a brute at commanding an army who would only know how to charge and chop his enemies up, even one who was known for being calm and more strategical compared to his more physically focused kin would still fight more directly than other races generals who could be capable of Scheming like the general who they currently faced was.

"Get me, Captain Zugbu!"

Wurgoth said as he motioned for them to go and get this captain who gave the outstanding scout report helping them to be ready for the second skirmish in which his orcish archers used the plurian crossbows and managed to deal a large amount of damage to the Chavarian horse archers.

Five minutes later, a fur-covered small slim orc entered the tent, a dark green leather armour covering his tiny body, helping him blend in the darkness and watch over the enemy he was scouting with his eagle eyes.

On his back is a unique mahogany short bow the light brown flexible wood imported from a faraway tropical land to the north has been blended with weeds to help match his armour. The bow also sported winglike bright green runes flowing down each of the bow's limbs, which glowed brightly in the gloomy darkness of the night, catching the eye of the Orcish general, who had not seen anything like it so far in his time in the game.

Looking closer at the orc and scanning his gear from head to toe, he noticed that more mysterious runes seem to be on each of the arrows in the small man's quiver. Some glow red and show a burning flame of fire as a rainbow of bright lights seems to emanate from the quiver as runed arrows glow as bright as the sun as it brings light to the dawn.

"Is there a way to turn off those runes? You look like a multi-coloured lighthouse."

Wurgoth said as the small orc came in, swaggering far more casually than other orcs would dare with a yawn as he looked towards his rainbow-lit quiver forgetting that it shined so brightly in the night as he forgot that he subconsciously puts his mana into the runes to make them glow. The light was so bright that Wurgoth had to put his arm in front of his eyes not to be blinded by the bright lights.

"Why is there a problem? I find rainbows quite beautiful, you know."

Zugbu said as the runes, which used to emit a blinding light, all turned dark, and Wurgoth was able to remove his arm and looked slightly angry at the small orc in front of him that seemed so different from the muscled micro brained orcs that he usually dealt with.

This intelligence intrigued him as he wondered how many other intelligent orcs had been held back by the physical strength-based culture of the orcs.

Unlike Zugbus, larger kin who work and rely on more their overwhelming physical strength and individual skill in combat to survive and thrive, Zugbu is different due to his weaker body which stands only at 5ft 6 compared to the average 6ft 2 – 6ft 6 orc and more diminutive stature he relies on his more petite, more agile body and cunning intellect to get to his current position. This unnatural high intelligence for an orc led to him becoming skilled in runes and magic, having an unnaturally large mana pool compared to his kin, and carving every single rune on his weapons himself, learning Runesmithing for himself despite it being a secret kept within the dwarven race which even their staunchest of allies don't have access too.

One could say that when it came to magic and Runesmithing, Zugbu is a once in a millennia genius among the orcs making even the god of the orcs spit out blood and sigh in despair at the treatment that he got from his brethren. He was even mocked by the dwarfish god, the divine brother he hated the most, which only intensified their conflict and worsened the relations between the two races who worshipped them.

"General, why did you call me? I was having a nice nap, dreaming of all the pretty orc girleys back home! A pity! Such a great pity! Even now, I can still see their beautiful slender green bodies!"

The shameless, vulgar small orc asked as he complained loudly, a vulgar smile gracing his lips as he let out another giant yawn looking at his general as if he had been greatly offended by him and asking him how he could bare to have interrupted his blissful dreams. Unafraid of the orc general who towered over him.

Hearing the intelligent orc speak, Wurgoth spat out a mouthful of water that he was about the drink and coughed a bit as he regained his composure and sighed as he lamented in his mind.

'Amazing! Great! Just ****** great! I have to work either with a bunch of blockheaded twats or intelligent horny ones! Why has the goddess of luck abandoned me so even having to deal with an annoying noble would be less hassle!'

Wurgoth had never been a religious man but would become a fanatic to the god who could deal with his problem right now and give him some non-vulgar intelligent company for once!

'To think that Bardonus, that scheming bastard, would be the thing keeping me sane.'

Wurgoth thought, feeling rage filling up his body again, his eyes red from a mix of tiredness and anger looked coldly down at the small orc, who shuddered a bit as he seemed to feel the icy cold hand of death brush past his neck as his eyes changed from a gaze which was casual and playful to one as serious and cold as Wurgoths catching the prominent imposing orc general off guard for a moment.

"What orders do you have, general?"

The small young orc said as he bowed respectfully towards the towering orc general, who could take his head off with one slash seeing this, a small smile spread across Wurgoths face as this intelligent orc had finally gotten a bit serious.

"Zugbu, I am about to assign you a most important task which you must complete or else this entire army could be in jeopardy!"

Wurgoth started trying to add as much importance to the task as possible.

"In about 3-5 hours, the Chavarians will be coming to conduct a night raid against us! This is not only a prediction that both I and Bardonus have come up with, but sources within the Chavarian army later confirmed this prediction!"

"Your task will be to take some scouts skilled in riding wolves in 3 hours, scout out when our enemies are coming, and allow our army to get the rest it needs. We will need you to signal when they are close so we can wake up the camp and set up an ambush."

Wurgoth said, laying out the strategy and trying to bring out whatever charisma was present in his body to encourage the orc to which he was giving this gruelling and dangerous task.

"You will be working with a scout captain from Plurus as well and will have to make a communication system that both armies can understand and report back to me when you have sorted it and use the Plurain scout captain to relay it to our allies."

"Any questions?"

Wurgoth asked after he finished giving the task to the shameless scout captain.

"Yes, general! I have a few!"

The small orc said before an almost invisible flash of anger passed through the young orc's eyes as he asked his general in a slightly sarcastic manner.

"General, are you trying to get me killed?"

"Do you want my head? If that is the case, bring down that cleaver and deliver the death sentence you obviously want to give out! I never thought my antics could warrant such a penalty, but if that is your will….

"DO IT!"

"KILL ME!"

The small orc shouted, his words laced with fiery anger as they seemed to resound around the camp. Wurgoth being surprised that such a small body could give out such a spirited shout, and the small orc closed his eyes, presenting his neck for Wurgoth to hack off, removing the long ginger locks of long hair which could get in the way of an accurate strike.

"Why do you say I am giving you a death sentence by assigning you this assignment?"

"Because I am going against the Chavarian cavalry, the same Chavarian cavalry who I have seen my compatriots run in fear of! That filled our brethren with arrows until they looked like large hedgehogs!"

"Did you know that my tent is situated next to a survivor of that hillside massacre that claimed the lives of nearly 5000 wolf riders? Only 100 riders returned from that hell!"

"Even now, that survivor has nightmares of faceless knights piercing him with their long lances or hacking his head off with one slash! At least 5 times, I have been woken up by his damn screaming from my blissful dreams filled with beautiful women. I just happen to care a lot for my life, as girls across the kingdom would cry at my death!"

After hearing that, Wurgoth frowned again, anger beginning to seep slowly into his body when he listened to the last reason for not going on the scouting mission as he tried to calm himself down and thought.

'It's not the screaming which he is annoyed about! It's that it interrupts his bloody erotic dreams! Calm down, calm down, as the small orc did bring up some good points, as trying to scout out the scheming and skilled Chavarian army would be a significant challenge.'

"You think you can live if we cannot find out the Chavarians positions and they cause catastrophic damage to our army, who would be killed within their tents?"

"Yep, because I'm smaller, faster than the other orcs here and an expert wolf rider. Of course, I can escape while the rest of you are slaughtered, for who would worry about a little orc running away compared to the big ones wielding large axes charging at you? They may not even see me as a combatant for some sort of worker who just unloads military supplies."

The small orc said casually before adding.

"No offence, general!"

Zugbu said afterwards, telling the hard truth to his general, who could only sigh again at the orc shamelessly using his comrades of cover to get away, which triggered the tired Wurgoth, who began shouting at the small orc in front of him just wanting him to do the task that was assigned to him.

"Where is your sense of honour? We are doing this for the good of our kingdom to prevent a human superpower from forming! We are duty and honour-bound to sacrifice ourselves to prevent such a kingdom and protect the country that raised us."

"Raised you more like and others who are big and strong and get all the best positions in the kingdom. It's no wonder our neighbours call our leadership musclehead! They raised you well, gave you a nice steel cleaver and gave you command of a large army to gain honour and glory in war!"

"But what was I given? Do you want to know? I was cast away from my family for my small size and had to be a beggar in the kingdom, using my intelligence to swindle and make what little money I could, all of my achievements and weapons are mine alone, meticulously crafted over years of tireless labour!"

"And you want me to lay down my life for them!"

"That's just unreasonable!"

"Who cares about honour?"

"Can honour buy me a nice steak or a joint of pork?"

"Can honour make me money?"

"Those same orcs tell me about honour this and honour that, yet where was that honour when I was a child in a near-starved state? If it were not for my teacher, who saw my potential and gave me my way of survival, I would be 10 feet underground by now!"

Zugbu said, getting all of his frustration and anger out of his heart, and began to breathe heavily and slowly to calm himself down, quietly casting a small magic shield in his hand just in case the orcish general in front of him tried to kill him with a slash of his cleaver before Zugbu had time to defend himself readying himself to escape the orcish camp if needed.

Hearing the grudges that Zugbu had against the orcish Kingdom of Qtrua that he was from, Wurgoth decided to persuade him in a different manner, as this Dynasty that he was playing, if he won this battle, could be landed nobles! Landed nobles with an estate to rule and all! Zugbu wanted to avoid going through character creation more events than he had to.

"How about this…. if you complete this mission, then when we return to the kingdom, ill pay for all the girls you want for a week!"

At hearing what Wurogth said, Zugbus eyes lit up with greed and happiness, a womanising glint appeared in his small orange eyes.

"Really, General?"

Zugbu asked, an air of suspicion present in his tone.

"If I survive, then yes, really!"

Seeing the sincerity and determination in the eyes of the orc which towered over him, Zugbu asked just one more time wanting to confirm it.

"You're not joking?"

"Nope."

Wurgoth said, a small smile on his face as he was about to get the answer he wanted.

"Why didn't you say before then, general? These Chavarians are nothing ill show them the cunning that orcs can bring."

The small orc said shamelessly as if it was not him who tried to get out of this assignment, citing the strength and fear he had of the Chavarian forces before, and quickly left with a visible skip in his step to sleep, making sure to set a magic alarm for himself so that he can get up and make preparations with the Plurain army on signals to help the two armies communicate and work together.

'Maybe having that smart shameless orc fight against that spider was a good choice. It's a shame that I will miss the confrontation.'

Wurgoth thought to himself shaking his head from side to side before settling down in his armour and starting to sleep, making sure to keep his weapon close to him just in case Zugbu failed.

Chapter, as promised by Wednesday next one, should be released on the weekend or Monday at the latest.
