chapter 5

We took the elevator I took the back, mainly because trusted none of these people.

Never trust someone you just met in the apocalypse. Because you never know they just might be the worst.

Jack was able to put the supplies he had delivered be put to good use. The supplies were full of either antizin, medical supplies, or food.

He didn't need most of the equipment, so it was honestly not worthwhile for him to keep.

Jack was taken to the room with a doctor, even if you check if he was fine.

Much to his shock. Since he didn't need to be in this position.

"I'm telling you, I'm fine. I only sprained my wrist," Jack said sighing.

Jack raised my shirt for the doctor, the scars on my body were a lot and the doctor's eyes seemed to narrow.

Jack sighed as he felt the doctor's fingers trace over the scars. Her eyes met mine before she smiled.

"So what's up doc?" Jack said.

"Well, good news? These won't have any lasting... Effects on you. But you have two broken ribs and a sprained foot. Your... Muscular frame makes you like a walking tank, so there's also that," she said.

A soft smirk played on my lips, it wasn't the first time I heard that.

"So who was that woman?" Jack asked as he nudged his head towards the doorway.

"Jade aldemir," the doc said before continuing.

"You're banned from moving from this spot unless you get my okay. And that's not for a while."

"And may I know the reason for that?" Jack asked.

"Because, if rumors are true, you're the reason we have supplies. Meds, food, antizin. And considering how often those drops are, I'm assuming you only get 2 hours of sleep, sometimes less sometimes more," she said.

Jack nodded his head, he was intrigued. This doctor was honestly really good.

"Uh-huh, you're the boss," Jack said lying on an abandoned coach.

His frame was bigger than the couch, but he kicked his feet up and slept almost immediately.

...

"What do you mean I cannot talk to him right now?" Jade said crossing her hands.

"As the moment he's a patient. He requires a proper medical evaluation. His wounds may be old, but they tell a story. He most likely healed them himself considering how barbaric it was done," the doctor began. She was not going to have a day of rest with that man.

Jade sighed while she rubbed her temples.

"Well brecken and will see him when he's fully healed. And what about the supplies how well are we on them," the doctor asked as she leaned against the doorframe.

"We have enough antizin to last us a year more if we have to. Medical... Months at best. Food and water are of no concern at the moment," Jade responded.

"But that's not the problem now. Rais men are roaming the streets, looking for him. It's only a matter of time before they find his location. And by then a war will erupt," Jade continued.

"Then all we need to do is kill them all. Which I shall do. My mess, it's only my responsibility for me to clean it up," a voice came.

And low and behold, there was Jack standing. On his couch laid his weapons and ammo sorted.

Honestly, where did he get the bulletproof vest? We don't know, but he had one. He was filling his magazines and putting them in his vest as if he was already prepared for war.

"What did I tell you already, you need rest. You not leaving until I give the okay," the doctor sighed rubbing her temples.

This was already the fourth time Jack tried to leave.

"And where did you even get those things? Citizens are banned from having firearms in the tower," the doc said.

Jack turned slowly and looked the doc dead in the eyes.

"...how else will I get them? I just killed some of the rais men for them. You'll be surprised by the amount of ammo they give grunts," he said.

....

It was night, so none of the citizens were up in the tower. So Jack popped open a window and climbed down from the story he was on.

As he climbed down, he noticed how many of the floors were full of zombies, virals, and some other infected. Hell, he even saw a night hunter. He was going to come here and clear that out if only to keep the people in the tower safe.

When he got to the ground he made his way, finding something to hunt.

As Jack hunted, he took about many of Rais's men. Since he knew they were the bad guys here.

Jack was fighting a pretty skilled opponent, but Jack outmaneuvered and outfought the man.

Jack punched Tahir and his body slammed against the glass mirror. Jack put his hands on the man's chin and his temple area.

He forced Tahir to look left as he then began forcing his head to turn. Then he pushed tahir face to the mirror.

Slowly, brutally, and very much to Jack's satisfaction, he dragged tahirs face across the broken mirror.

Jack then grabbed some glass shards, put them in tahirs mouth, and then punched him. The inside of tahirs mouth now bleeding.

But Jack didn't stop there, oh no, he dragged him to another mirror and did it again. Jack then slammed tahirs big ass head into the sink which broke it completely.

One of those brave men in Rais's group charged at Jack to stab him, but Jack grabbed his arm, twisted it, broke his arm, and made him stab himself.

Jack picked up a knife off the counter, and while smiling spun the knife.

"Who's next?" He said, his face and clothes still bloody.
