Movie and an Idea

2008 was a great year for movies. Some of the most popular and well respected movies came out in the year of 2008.

And Kento could not express his happiness when he figured he could relive through one of the masterpieces of the cinematic universe.

"Do you like Batman?" Aika asked, as they walked inside the cinema hall. 

"Quite." Kento smiled. "And trust me… You will love this movie."

Aika smiled. "How do you know? This came out today and we booked the first show. So, there should not be reviews out yet."

Kento winked. "Just a feeling."

But it was not just a feeling.

It was a fact.

Because this movie would go on to be the seventh highest grossing movie of all time. 

Or at least till the start of 2009.

The movie was none other than Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight featuring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne and Heath Ledger as the Joker.

"It's a tragedy that Ledger will not be able to witness his own movie."

This statement made Aika curious. "Why?" 

Kento showed her a sad smile. "He passed away in January."

"Oh…" Aika said, unsure of how to react.

"He played Joker in this movie." Kento explained. "But I am certain that even he would not want people to go into the movie all sad. So, let's enjoy the movie."

Aika felt better hearing this. "Alright."

As they walked inside, Kento decided to get them a few drinks and a lot of popcorn. He knew how thrilling the movie was and he had no intention of not having any popcorn during the intense scenes.

Allowing Aika to go inside and be comfortable in her seat, Kento placed the drinks and popcorn in the holder.

"Why did you not choose it in 3D?" Aika asked which made him smile. 

"Because it only distracts the people from the actual story." 

This was also the reason why The Dark Knight Rises was never released in 3D. Nolan knew that it would distract the people from the story and he did not want that.

And it was a brilliant move.

"Oh." Aika nodded. "That makes sense."

But even if the movie was not good, Aika was not going to be disappointed about it. Because she knew one thing that made her happy.

'This is our first movie together.' She was overjoyed remembering this.  

As the movie started, Kento paid attention. He wanted to relive the moment and it was only during these times, when he could feel the thrill of the past to this extent. 

But he knew that it was not the only reason he came here.

He placed his hand over Aika's thighs. 

"It is starting." 

Aika was happy to spend time with Kento. She knew that Kento had been busy with a lot of things, and while she did not know what those things were, she was aware that they were important. So, she never asked him to give her any of his time.

She respected him a lot which was key to any relationship. 

Be it platonic or romantic.

And while she was mostly focused on enjoying the moment, she could not deny that the movie was good.

"It is amazing how the Joker manages to mess with Batman." Aika whispered.

"He is someone that Batman cannot ignore." He said.

Batman never killed and this led to Joker escaping many times.

Batman never got to rest because of this and always had to be at the Joker's tail. The Joker managed to keep Batman around him all the time.

And it was not because he commited crimes, but because he wanted to.

Joker was so crazy about Batman that he was able to fuck with Bruce's mentality to keep Joker in his mind all the time.

Batman would never agree, but Joker and he had a very special connection.

"It is because he fucked with his psychology that Batman could not ignore Joker."

"Mhm." Aika agreed.

But this clicked something.

'Wait!' His eyes widened. 'Because Batman could never ignore Joker.'

Kento felt a smile creeping up his face. 

Because unknown to everyone else, he had found a way to help Rias.

…

…

"I just cannot ignore you." A tired man sighed as he saw the person sitting in front of him. "Can I?"

The other man laughed. "I suppose you cannot."

"You know just as well as I do, Azazel." The man said. "It is difficult to do what you are asking for. Truth be told, it is only because of the suppression barrier around us that is preventing devils from sensing your presence and burging in."

Azazel nodded. "It is indeed difficult. While You, me and Michael want to mend this relationship between the three factions… The other leaders and elders have no intention of doing so."

"So, you should also know that it is not possible for me to allow you in Kuoh." The man sighed. "The Shinto faction allowed me to let Rias and Sona manage it upon quite the request."

"I did hear that you had to give away something precious." Azazel smiled. "Quite the loving brother you are."

The man chuckled. "Anything for my precious little sister."

Azazel nodded. "In the end… It's only our family that matters, Sirzechs."

The man that Azazel was talking to was none other than the current Satan Lucifer, as well as the older brother of Rias Gremory.

Sirzechs Lucifer.

"Isn't that one of the reasons you are trying for peace between the factions?" Sirzechs asked and Azazel nodded.

"It is."

He did not like to admit it, but he did care about his family.

Michael, Uriel, Metatron… And especially, Gabriel.

"Why Kuoh?" Sirzechs asked.

"Don't worry, it is not related to the heiresses." Azazel said. "And you know just as well as I do that those fools were acting on their own when they entered Kuoh."

Sirzechs nodded.

"It is someone else that I am interested in." Azazel explained. "And he happens to live in Kuoh."

Sirzechs sighed. "Even so… It will be difficult, Azazel." 

"Not until there is a treaty." Sirzechs said, a little sad. "And there won't be a treaty until there is a catalyst that results in such a situation where it is necessary."

Azazel hated to admit it, but the devil king was right. "Such situations are unlikely." He said. "We will have to think of another way."

"That we have to." Sirzechs knew that they had to form a treaty soon.

"Anyways, I heard your sister is getting married." The Fallen General remarked.

Sirzechs showed him a tired smile. "She doesn't like it one bit but father wants to see it go through."

Azazel nodded. "It was good for me and people of my generation. There was no political marriage as there was no politics."

"Yeah." Sirzechs shook his head in disappointment at Azazel's humor. "There was only war."

Azazel chuckled. "Don't let her get stuck in a bad marriage, Sirzechs. Both of us have seen how such a thing turns out."

This made Sirzechs a little sad. He knew exactly who Azazel was talking about.

"That I know, Azazel." He said. "That I know."
