DXD 0015: Koneko

After getting back to Kuoh, he and Sona separated as she went to take care of her Peerage and he went to talk to Rias.

"We're starting training from Saturday?" She asked him.

"Yeah. Prepare a large open area, the kind where a lot of destruction would go unnoticed until everything is fixed. I will start by training you and Akeno first. Koneko… I'll have to think about her. She doesn't seem to be a normal devil, I'm guessing she's a Nekomata. I don't do Senjutsu so you'll have to find someone to actually train her. As for Kiba, well, I'm still testing him." He told Rias.

"So that's why you've been wasting his time for the past few days…" She had a look of realization.

"Yeah. Now for the next thing, I've decided on someone to be my pawn. Can you arrange a room for her later?" He asked.

"Sure, no issue. When does she arrive?" She asked him. "Most likely in two days." He told her.

"I'll prepare a room." She nodded.

"Great, good night. I still think it'll be pretty fun if you are willing to sleep with me and be my body pillow." He teased her.

"I'm a naked sleeper, Abaddon. And as tempting as that proposition is, especially after Akeno's growth, I'm not about to sleep naked with my cousin." She said.

"I told you. It doesn't matter to devils, sooner or later, you'll be in my bed cuddling with me as I empower you." He said just before closing the door to the room.

"Always has to get the last word…" She mumbled annoyedly as she got back to her work.

The next morning, Akeno woke up with her head resting on Abaddon's chest as she was lying halfway on his body. She got out of bed and made tea for him, waking him up.

"We have our date today." He told Akeno as his gaze went down to her beautiful bosom. She hadn't bothered covering up as she made and fed him tea. "Yeah, It'll be a lot of fun." She said with a smile of anticipation.

After a while, Akeno left his room while he took a shower before going to school to attend the first obligatory class.

Since Aika wasn't there, he decided to socialize with some of the other people to pass the time until the teacher came. After talking with a few people and getting bored out of his mind, he decided to fuck the whole school shtick and walked out of the class.

"Hey, bro! The class will be starting soon, you should take a seat if you don't want to get scolded by the sensei." Abaddon heard someone call him out and saw that it was a brown-haired boy.

"It's fine. I'm not in the mood…" He said and waved his hand at him.

"Come on, you can sit with us. During break time, we could go and have some fun…" He said and chuckled as if it was some inside joke.

He felt a semblance of interest as he thought, 'Whatever, not like I have anything better to do…' He agreed and went back.

"Sure, I guess… What's your name? I didn't catch it." He asked the guy who asked him to come back.

"I'm Issei. Issei Hyoudou. Nice to meet you." Issei offered his hand and Abaddon shook it, "I'm Morpheus." He told Issei his alias.

"These two perverts are my friends, Matsuda and Motohama." He introduced his friends.

"Oh now I remember, you were the guys who were being chased by women for peeking…" Abaddon said in a eureka moment.

"Hey! What's the deal!" "I didn't ask to be called out!" "It's a misunderstanding, Morpheus-san." Issei was the last to try to clear things up.

"Whatever, let's sit, he's here." Abaddon took a seat beside Issei. They were confused for a moment before they heard the voice of the teacher and realized the meaning of his words.

As the class started, Abaddon was absent-minded as he looked around the class to see any interesting characters and failed to see. 'Would it be possible for any of them to have sacred gears?' He thought, 'This place is situated at a ley line… No harm in checking, I guess.' He decided to examine the students closely and two magic circles formed in front of his eyes before melding into them. His violet eyes got a slightly yellow hue to them as he looked around.

'Hm?' He saw a bright spot of energy concentrated just as he looked at Issei, 'This dude has a Sacred Gear?' He thought. 'And it seems one of the stronger ones…'

'Should I take him into my peerage?' He had the thought before denying it, he wasn't interested in adding dudes to his peerage unless absolutely necessary. 'I have to make him awaken his sacred gear to see what kind he has…' He thought. He had to know what kind of sacred gear he has before he would even want to do anything about it. Everything depends on whether or not the sacred gear would be useful to him.

'If it really is a Longinus then it would be impossible to reincarnate him after it's awakened…' He fell into a dilemma. The energy was strong enough that Abaddon was sure that it was a high-level gear. But he couldn't be clear about what kind.

As he was deep in thought, the bell rang and he decided to disappear from the class. He had other things to do.

"Morpheus-san…" Issei had just called out and turned to look at him only to find the seat empty. "Weird guy…" He commented before turning back to his friends.

On the way to Kiba's training ground, Abaddon ran into a cute Nekomata, "Hi, Koneko." He said cheerily. She was sitting on a windowsill as she enjoyed the view. She gave a glance at him and turned her head away with an inaudible humph.

"Are you still mad about my teasing?" He took a seat beside her but didn't hear her answer, "You don't like talking a lot, huh?" He commented as he brought out a bar of chocolate, "Here, Rias told me that you like sweets." Koneko didn't say anything and just took the chocolate from his hands. She tore open the wrapper and broke off a piece before offering it to him, "You're polite, Koneko." He said as he took the piece she'd offered and ate it.

They both sat there for a while as they ate chocolate, "You ever think about getting stronger?" He asked. "Mm…" She nodded.

"I'm going to be training Rias and Akeno from Saturday. It's mostly going to be Rias, but you can also join in if you want." He offered to her. He'd changed his mind and decided that he would train Koneko too. Even if he couldn't teach her Senjutsu, he could help her out with some of the basics.

He looked at her and saw her look at him with big kitten eyes, "Yes, I'm serious. Prepare yourself, the first weekend is going to be pretty harrowing." He said to her.

"You're kind, senpai…" She said. "I'm kind? But I'm the devil…" He smirked though she didn't reply.

"And what's with the senpai? I'm Rias' cousin. When did I become your senpai?" He asked. "You're my senior in school by one year." She said. "But I just joined." He said. "Same thing." Koneko was adamant about calling him senpai, it seemed.

"Good enough. Coordinate with Rias, I want to see you there in the morning. Understood?" He told her as he got up. "Mm…" An inaudible agreement was all he got, but it was enough.

With that, he walked away and reached Kiba's training ground to bully the poor guy again. He wanted to see if Kiba blows his fuse training him. If he did blow up and lose it, then he doesn't have the patience that is expected of him as a master of the sword.

At the end of the day, it was time for his date with Akeno. She was wearing a frilly purple dress. "You look cute, Akeno…" He appreciated her outfit for a moment and complimented her while looking into her eyes.

"Thank you, Abaddon-kun. You look very good too." She complimented him with a lovely smile.

"I know, I always look good." He said with a joking tone as he offered her his arm, "Do you want to go somewhere specific?" He asked her as she held his arm.

"I know just the place…" She smiled and led the way for him.

"Do you have any suggestions or specific abilities that you want to work on during our training?" He asked her as they walked along the footpath, hand-in-hand.

"Not really, I don't really have any specific area to train, maybe my control over demonic energy since with the increased concentration, it's getting a little harder for me to control it. But otherwise, I just need to develop my traits all around…" Akeno said after thinking for a few seconds.

"I see… I'll add some extra control training. All in all, I'll be dedicating equal amounts of time to train each of your aspects. Since you're a Queen, you have the benefits of Rook, Knight, and Bishop so I'll work on each of those specific aspects." He told her as she aptly nodded.

"For the Rook aspect, I'll have you train with Koneko. You'll be doing physical strength training and hand-to-hand combat training with each other. For the Knight aspect, I'll create a complex obstacle course for you to get through and get the best time possible." Akeno seemed to want to say something so he stopped and let her speak.

"What about Kiba? He could benefit from this training." She said.

"His training will be a little different. He is a swordsman and needs to be trained in a different manner." He said, "Back to our discussion, as for the Bishop aspect, I'll be working on your magic casting. You and Rias will be training together as I train you both in the use of demonic energy. You with your specialized lightning spells and Rias with the Power of Destruction. Any questions?" He finished.

"Yes, a very important question actually. Why are we discussing our training when we're out on a date?" She asked with a dissatisfied glance at his face.

(A/N: Another author-rant to clarify things. This one's for people who insist that Abaddon is extremely weak for his age even though he has the king piece.

1. The king piece is not that big of a deal. 100 times boost sounds a lot but it's no more than Issei boosting himself 7 times using the Boosted Gear.

2. It's already established that sloth is a prominent sin that he has. Do you expect someone with sloth as one of their prominent sins to be grinding all the time?

3. Name some young ultimate class beings from canon that weren't directly related to a Longinus. There aren't any. Ultimate class is a huge deal. Most devils live their whole lives as high-class ones.

I'm bored right now and ready to throw down and argue so lay your conflicting thoughts on me if you want.

Also, did people forget that the synopsis says that this is a slight AU? Things will deviate from canon and in a very major way after the basic stuff is established.)
