Wings of Crystal Part II
“Goddess Lance!” With that, Eize threw a light spear at the Chimera before Blanche. In the instant, the spear penetrated through the body of the boss monster from Caldia’s north tower.

With only one attack, the level 79 Chimera was executed into spheres of light. Blanche, Tan, Nicki, and the others were shocked as the scene unfolded before their eyes. There were only a few people who witnessed that as everything had happened very fast and there were not many people who joined them in the battle.
After that, the Crystal Winged Valkyrie flew into the sky. She headed to the iron giant who stood tall. Her first attack on the giant occurred after she drew a circle with her spear…then, numerous giant pieces of crystal emerged and surrounded her.
“Crystal Apocalypse!” After the voice rang out, countless crystals flew towards the ancient iron giant. The damage popped up as the giant shrieked.

“Hundred thousand! Gosh…I have to take really good care of you from now on,” Tan said as he witnessed the fight between Crytal-Winged Valkyrie and the iron giant. The giant tried to attack Eize but missed every time because the highest stat of the Valkyrie was not Attack or Defense but…Speed.
“Tan! Watch out!” Blanche shouted, but he was too late. Tan was directly attacked by a monster that escaped from Blanche.

“Augh!” Tan was sneak attacked by the monster. It was then that one of Blanche’s monsters rushed towards Tan and faced the monster.
“Summon!” Tan summoned a 4-star female warrior Amazoness, then quickly activated another Summon Card.

After the voice rang out, Amazoness and Blanche’s monster that were in the same party as Tan were destroyed by the effect of the card. Greed Demon Mammon entered the battlefield. Flames emerged from its body, spreading heat all around and evaporating moisture from the air. Almost immediately after the demon made its appearance, the card’s effect, Illusion Flame, was activated. All monsters in the area were engulfed by flames, including the monsters of the players. The colorless inferno consumed every low-level monster. The Demon of Greed turned towards monsters that still remained. Even though Mammon was only a 7-star monster, it had much greater power than its number of stars would suggest.

Mammon kept Tan safe while helping Blanche take down enemies. Nicki waited for her MP to recover as new cards continued to draw. She summoned a gun and equipped herself with it. Tan stared at the fight between the iron giant and the Valkyrie. The level 185 giant’s attacks always missed its target, but when it unleashed the power that had been accumulated, the attack caused damage to Eize and nearby areas.
“Terra Nova!” The system announced Giant Baron’s move. The force of the explosions around the iron giant caused severe damage. Its surroundings were damaged by the explosions including Eize.
“77,677!”
The seventy thousand damage could not harm level 255 Valkyrie, but that was not the case for the surrounding areas. Caldia's east side was ruined.
“I wonder if the king has any insurance…” Tan gasped. “The insurance company will be in a lot of trouble.”
When the iron giant finished his move, Crystal Winged Valkyrie remained still in the middle of the air, holding a shining light in her hand.
“Wing of Destiny!” The system made an announcement again. The flow of energy gathered in Eize’s hand. The power in the transparent crystal-winged Valkyrie was the force of stars. As the energy compressed to the limit, it was thrown towards Giant Baron. When the energy force flew out of the owner's hand, it spread into wings in the sky, rushing to attack the target multiple times.

Eize did not stop there. The system made an announcement once more.
“Soul of Valhalla!” Her spear turned into a light spear again but multiplied into seven this time. The light spear was named after heaven where the Valkyries and the chosen warriors resided. The seven spears rained down on the iron giant. As they came into contact, there was a massive explosion that caused tremendous damage.

When everything ended, Giant Baron exploded into numerous spheres of light. Caldia looked like someone threw a firework into the daytime sky. As the light spheres dispersed, the system announced the high-level monster’s death…
Player Tanthai, Player Blanche, and Player Nicki have successfully defeated the ancient iron giant, Giant Baron, one of the demons from Gehana. The players have received 1,778,394 EXP and an Iron Heart. Player Tanthai has risen from level 30 to level 57. Player Blanche has risen from level 30 to level 56. Player Nicki has risen from level 30 to level 57.
After the system’s voice rang out, the Crystal Winged Valkyrie disappeared. Eize was back to her regular size again. People in Caldia screamed in delight, but there was a displeased voice shouting out.
“What?! I worked my tail off to kill it, but I didn't get any cards! It was bloody tough to beat…” Disappointed, Tan moaned and turned to Blanche.
“We were fortunate enough to survive,” Blanche replied after he killed the last monster.
Nicki leaned against the wall of a house. “What in the hell was that and why it happened all of a sudden?” She heaved a long sigh after inquiring. The system continued to announce what they got from monsters they had defeated as well as EXP. When the system finished with that, their level had risen even more.
Tanthai and Nicki were now at level 59, while Blanche sat at level 58…
“How are you doing, Master?” Eize whispered in his ear.
“I’m good, safe and sound, all thanks to you,” Tan said. “Anyway, what is your level right now after killing that giant? After we finish all these, I’ll take you to level grind.”
Eize lowered her head and seemed to be checking something, then she raised her head and said to Tan. “Level 1, Master,” she replied with a look of disappointment on her face.
“What…?! Level 1…no progress at all?” Tan questioned shockingly.
“No progress, still one.”
“I can’t believe this.” Tan shook his head and heaved a long sigh. “You might need to eat cards…” He searched for a card and handed it to Eize. “This one is 7-star. It must be yummy.”
“Master!” Eize looked at Tan with disapproval.
“Oh…” He scratched his head.
“Perhaps there’s a quest to do or a condition to fulfill to level up the card,” Nicki proposed.
“Oh, Eize…what do we need to do?” Tan asked.
The little girl was on the verge of crying as she shook her head. “I can’t remember, Master…sob…”
“No…I can’t resist crying!” Tan panicked. “There, there. There’s nothing to worry about. I’ll find a way to level up you.”
“Really…?” The girl asked.
“I’ll make the Scout Oath right now.” He held the three fingers upward and together. “On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to Eize and my country and to obey the Scout Law!” He moved around as he said and bowed, making a smile appear on the girl’s face.
“Master is so funny,” Eize giggled.
After the situation had calmed down, an army marched out of the castle, leading a carriage with someone important inside.
‘Why did they come out once everything ended?’ Tan wondered to himself.
“The king and queen of Caldia have arrived!” A soldier in the army announced as the carriage stopped before Tan and the others. A soldier who stood by the carriage opened it, then the old king with gray hair and a mustache wearing a crown stepped down, followed by the queen...
