Wings of Crystal Part I
Caldia was in disarray. Monsters were roaming all over the city, while the iron giant made its way to Caldia Castle; it smashed everything to pieces wherever it went. Tan and the others were fighting against monsters from the north tower. The monsters were of level 50-60…
“Blanche, are you good?!” Nicki asked loudly.
“I guess. Even though my level isn’t high, I can do something with the cards I’ve got, but I can’t go one-on-one!” Blanche said as he made a stand against his enemy. His deck included the cards borrowed from Nicki and Tan, so it was a powerful deck that was able to handle level 50-60 monsters without much problem.
Tan drew his first seven cards and saw two cards that he had yet to use before—Greed Demon Mammon and one Area Card. The description of the Area Card indicated that the effect this time was…a Summon.
“Master…!” Eize appeared as she spoke. “Now is not the right time to summon Eize. Look at the card, Master.”

“Level 1?!” Tan repeated the words from the card's description. As he muttered to himself, Nicki and Blanche fought off monsters tearing through the city. Those that escaped from the north tower were not terrifying. Tan and his friends could have easily taken care of them if these two incidents had not occurred.
A level 79 monster with the heads of a lion and a goat, wings of a bird, and a tail that ended with a snake's head, a Chimera—the boss of North Tower, appeared in front of their eyes.
The most terrifying thing was the iron giant that turned its back on Caldia Castle. While charging toward Tan and his friends, it roared in a low voice, which resonated throughout the city.
“Nicki! Blanche!” Tan bellowed as he saw the scene unfold. “The giant is coming to us!”
That shocked Nicki and Blanche, who were busy dealing with the Chimera. “We can’t escape. There are too many monsters blocking our way!” Nicki shouted as she looked around. Other players were fighting with monsters as well.
“Darn it! It’s impossible to fight such a high-level monster like that...” Tan muttered in frustration.
“Master, if Eize has fully grown, that monster is no match for Eize,” said Eize who was flying next to Tan.
“Aww…Eize…” Tan smiled at Eize, who was just a cute little girl. He read the description of the card and knew that she was level 1, which was like a newbie. It would take a long time for her to reach the level cap.
“Are you strong enough to take down that monster if you have grown up?”
“It will be child’s play, master. That tin robot is not that powerful at all,” she replied.
Tan shook his head. “I would already be dead before that could happen,” he giggled. “Wait…” Tan muttered to himself as something popped up into his mind. He turned quickly to his friend. “Nicki…!”
“What?!” Nicki, who was fighting the Chimera, shouted back.
“Leave the battle and put this card in the deck that you can use your combo to find a certain card and do everything you can to get it into your hand!” Tan instructed.
“What?”
Before she could ask anything else, Tan threw a card at her. Nicki looked at the card and was confused. “What are you trying to do?!” She yelled at him.
“Trust me…” Tan replied. “Blanche! Can you hold it together against those monsters for two minutes?!” He shouted.
“I don’t know! I’ll try!” Blanche, who was kept busy by the Chimera, answered without looking at him.
“Do it, Nicki! Tell me when you draw the card!” Tan shouted again.
Nicki did not know what he was trying to do, but she believed that he might have something on his mind. She stepped back while Blanche blocked the monsters. When she had retreated to a certain distance, she was out of the battle. Nicki put the card she got from Tan in the deck she used to defeat Max. It was the deck that could find whatever card she wanted. After changing to the deck that she had just rearranged, Nicki entered the battle again.
The first seven cards were immediately drawn. The card Tan was looking for was not there. Nicki used a card that allowed her to discard three cards and draw two new cards right away.

A 4-star Witches’ Prophecy card was activated. It made her discard three cards in exchange for two new cards, yet she had not got what she wanted. Luckily, one of them was a 6-star, limit amount, Queen’s Order card.
“Awesome…!” Nicki was blissful.
“Magic!” She quickly activated the card. After she did that, every Magic Card in her deck appeared before her to choose from, and of course…she picked the one Tan was looking for.

“Tan! I’ve got it…!” Nicki told Tan who waited for her. The iron giant got closer as they could feel the ground rambling. Buildings started to crumble, and the entire city was overrun by monsters. Blanche and the Chimera were neck and neck. His army of knights was up against the monstrous creature from mythology.
“Okay! Come closer, Nicki!” Tan said as he prepared to activate a card. When Nicki got closer, he immediately activated the card.
“Area!”
Tan activated his Area Card. A summon instantly appeared. It was Eize in the form of a little kid with blue hair. Her icy eyes glared at Tan.
“Master…” she voiced. She currently had stats of a level 1 Summon Card with no ability.
“Nicki!” Tan shouted. “Use that card to Eize!”
Nicki looked at the only card remaining in her hand. She realized what Tan was trying to do when she turned her gaze at Eize. “I’ll leave it to you, Eize!” She said and activated a 12-star Metamorphosis card.
“Magic!”

Transform a Summon into its full-grown form for one minute. The summon will be at the level cap if it has the level.

When the card was activated, light emerged and covered Eize’s body. The shining light then spread outward. After everything ended, a woman with blue hair appeared in dark blue armor. She was the size of a human, but her aura was that of a goddess—a goddess with crystal wings on her back. She kneeled down holding a giant spear engraved with gorgeous patterns.
A level 255, Area Summon, Crystal Winged Valkyrie appeared…
The system announced the appearance of a high-level monster…
“255!” Nicki exclaimed in shock when she heard the system’s voice. She knew that Eize was going to transform into a high-level monster, but she did not expect that she would transform into such a high-level monster.
“Eize…” Tan called her name softly.
“Yes, Master.” The voice that replied back was Eize’s voice but a little deeper.
“Yes…” Nicki who stood beside Tan exclaimed unconsciously.
The Valkyrie turned her gaze towards the iron giant who was approaching them. “Get rid of that one, right? Master,” she asked.
“Can you do that?” Tan looked at the girl with the same height as him in doubt.
“I’m at the highest level now, Master. It won't be a problem, but you may hear a lot of noise,” she answered. “You want me to help Master Blanche too?” Eize asked as she looked at Blanche and the Chimera.
“That’s good,” Tan said.
“Goddess Lance!” With that, Eize threw a light spear at the Chimera before Blanche. In the instant, the spear penetrated through the body of the boss monster from Caldia’s north tower.
