Chapter 4

{ Jialong's POV}

It's been about 6 months since I started water bending and in have improved by vast amounts. I revealed to my parents that I am a water bender and their reactions was not as I had expected. They also revealed about my parents which I had accepted and told them that were my parents even if I don't have their blood.

"Tonights going to be a full moon so I'll practice my blood bending tonight when my water bending is at its peak"

"One thing I don't get is why are there only about four people who can blood bend in the entire world" I was confused but also glad because blood bending was to overpowered and an army full of blood benders would be to overpowered for me to fight against.

"I'll do some fishing for now to pass time until it is night time when I can do blood bending. I also need to find a rat to practice my bending just like Hama"

'It shouldn't take that long for me to get a proper control in blood bending if Katara could do it in just a few minutes.' I wondered how long it would take me to be able to control blood properly.

I always doubted that Katara could blood bend without any emergency or anger when she was 14 because the two times she blood bended was when she had extreme anger or her friends were in danger. I always found it stupid how Katara and Aang technically mastered an element in a few months which is bizzare and

I wouldn't even believe if it weren't for plot armour and also because they were talented.

Anyways I need to come up with a plan so that I can start traveling to Wan Shi Tong's library so that I could learn more about fire bending from there before Zhao destroys the fire nation section. Hopefully the library includes what it promises otherwise it would be a disappointing if the library doesn't have doesn't have information on firebending techniques.

'I'll tell my parents that I dreamed about Ozai becoming Firelord so that it makes them think that I have visions of the future and finally to travel the world, I'll say that I dreamed about the avatar and that I was going on a journey to find him.'

{ Third Person POV }

"Finally the full moon, I can feel it enriching my water bending" Jialong said as gazed at the full moon above him watching him like a eagle woul watch it's predator.

Jialong then gazed down towards the cage which contained the patchy grey rat that he was going to experiment on to practice his blood bending.

"It seems you are the unfortunate rat that I am going to blood bend on but don't worry I'll let you free when I am finished" Jialong said to the rat even though it didn't understand him.

'It seems that I have still haven't gotten over Peter Pettigrew' Jialong pondered since out of all the rat he could have chosen when he went into the forest, he chose the greyish one which reminded him of Peter Pettigrew's animagus form.

Unfortunately for the rat, Peter Pettigrew is one of Jialong's most hated characters along with Dolores Umbitch *Cough* Umbridge and Shou Tucker. His hatred for those three run deep in his veins and still is lasting even till now and if he chose to reincarnate into Harry Potter or Fullmetal Alchemist then those three characters would be tortured by me in the cruellest ways he could imagine.

"Because of that damn Pettigrew, I now remembered that Shou Fucker *Cough* I mean Tucker. I really and I mean really want to kill that bastard for what he did to poor Nina and if I was Edward, I would have tortured that piece of shit before he had died by Scar" Jialong fumed after remembering the anime which he watched in his childhood and was extremely dissatisfied with how that particular scene had played out.

'I shouldn't get distracted since I only have about 20 minutes to practice my blood bending before the full moon is gone and I need to make the most of it.' Jialong stopped thinking of what made him rage and instead focused on making most of the time he had to blood bend using the rats.

(AN: I know that we can see the full moon for a few days to the naked eye but here I'm going to lower it significantly as if it did last few days then the fire benders would have lost if there were powered up water benders coming their way and the show didn't still didn't explain how long the full moon even last)

'The show never explained how to blood bend like they did with creating lightning but I guess you have to imagine the water inside someone's body and take control of it' Jialong thought of the ways he can approach blood bending as he didn't have a lot of information to rely on about blood bending so he had to figure it out on his own.

'The only explanation I have is from Hama. She said something along the lines of that "water is in all living things and controlling the liquid in their body and enforcing your own will." which is the same idea that I have.' Jialong spent another minute quickly thinking of any different ways that he can blood bend and get a mastery over it.

"Alright let's start" Jialong said in a enthusiastic tone but made sure it was silent as possible so he doesn't alert his parents which would in turn get him caught.

Jialong spent a few seconds trying to raise the arms of the rat and after a few failed attempts he got it to raise it's arms for a few seconds before it dropped it's arms and got back to eating it's food.

His next step was to make the legs and arms move at the same time which was harder than the previous one but with a few tries he got it to move. To end the full moon, Jialong used blood bending to move the whole body in the air while moving it's arms and legs simultaneously which he would go on to practice on bigger animals and then on humans for the cherry on the top.

'Now that I got the basics of blood bending. Now I could do it with larger animals albeit with some difficulty as it requires me to be able bend large amounts of liquid which I still need to practice with.'

'If my calculation is correct then I would fully master blood bending in about 2 years. My goal is to be able to blood bend with just my mind without using hands since if someone like Hama takes control of me then I would be useless since I would need my hands to actually blood bend. That's how Hama lost against Katara and I intend to not follow that path'

"Thank you for volunteering to be my lab rat, little Peter but as much as you would love to continue helping me, you can't so now it's time for you to leave" Jialong said with a happy tone and also included a fake tear at the end for pleasantries sake.

He took the rat outside his garden and into the forest where he could set it free. The scenery was not that dark as it was summer and so the days were longer.

Once he let the rat free, the rat ran for a few seconds and travelled a few meters away from Valrick before turning around and looking right at Jialong with its deep black eyes.

"The Dark Lord shall rise again" The rat said with a cackle which confused the hell out of Valrick as he didn't think an animal could talk but suddenly he realised something which shook his entire world.

"Huh?" Jialong was confused about what just happened

"Wait a minute. Dark Lord and a grey rat. Don't say that he is" Jialong didn't finish his sentence as he just realized something.

He quickly got ready to get to the rat and blood bend but as soon as he moved, the rat quickly ran into some bushes and disappeared.

Jialong not losing hope, quickly ran as fast as he could towards the bush and searched everywhere there and even the other side of the bush but found nothing. The grey rat had disappeared without a trace as if it had never even existed.

"DAMN YOU PETTIGREW" Jialong shouted with all his energy conveying his anger and frustration on what just happened and the opportunity he had just missed.

Luckily for him, his parents wasn't in their house and was shopping for groceries otherwise they would be racing towards him to find out what just happened.

"Damn it, I just missed a golden opportunity to torture that Pettigrew and I'll probably never get that chance again" Jialong cried at what he had just missed and to make it worse it was something he desired for a long time and now he had just missed that chance.

"Some being is definitely trolling me right now and don't say its the same person that sent me here" Jialong said in anger as he did not like getting trolled even in the slightest.

Jialo left the place depressed about what just happened but soon got over it after his mom made him some of his favourite food to make him feel better.

It was morning of the next day, the neighbours were conversing with each other, talking about their usual business. The children were running around in the centre of the village with their cheerful cries filling the village with its happiness and cheerfulness, making the scene more lively and pleasant to watch.

It was a typical summer morning, the sun was out, radiating the world with its warm rays and giving life to the plants and trees. The trees was a vibrant green and the beautiful blue sky was clear as it ever could get. This was a perfect day for anyone hoping to enjoy what mother nature could give.

In Jialong's household, the scenery was not as beautiful as everything was in chaos. Shouting filled the entire house while lots of unpleasant noises was coming from the house and would make anyone close their ears shut.

"Come on, how long will it take for you two to get ready" Inok shouted impatiently as he got sick and tired of waiting for his wife and son to get ready.

Jialong who was already ready but was just practicing water bending in his room stopped and put the water back into the small pouch and placed it in his waist as he wanted to take it with him just in case of an emergency.

He rushed downstairs to not make his dad wait any longer which would just add the fuel on the fire and he definitely didn't want that.

Soon his mother also joined in with her basket which was full of bait which they would use to catch fishes on their little trip.

"Finally we can get going" Relief was on Inok's mind seeing his wife and son finally ready to do some fishing which they had planned for some time.

"You need to relax, it's not as if we are going to die if we set off a little late" Yihi reprimanded Inok who seemed to get even more annoyed than before as it evident from his face.

"A little late, A little late. We were supposed to set one hour ago and you are saying we are a little late." Inok then began to complain and mumble about his wife which Jialong found amusing.

"Dear don't you think we should set off now or would you rather we stay here and watch you mumble on" Yihi said which caused Inok to look at Yihi who had a deadpan expression and then at Jialong who also had a deadpan expression on their which caused Inok to get out of his mumbling and get on track.

"Yes we should get going" Inok shouted out enthusiastically as if he were a kid waiting to go to a theme park.

They soon set of, venturing into the forest like adventurers would do on a quest while enjoying the beautiful scenery along with it.

"The forest is so beautiful at this season don't you think" Yihi said to the duo beside her who nodded in agreement as they were also observing the vibrant leaves of the trees which varied from green to red.

However while enjoying the scenery, the family did not notice the rustle near them as it was faint but fortunately Valrick's ears caught on as he soon looked around, trying to figure out what the noise was.

"What's the matter" Inok asked his son as he noticed him looking around as if trying to look for something.

"Nothing" Jialong replied to the question as he didn't want to worry his parents just because heard some rustling and a silent growl.

Jialong's answer caused his parents to have worried expression as they were confused but also worried about Valrick as he seemed to be distracted and also cautious from the look on his face.

Once they reached a pond which was near the river and it habituated a lot of fishes, they set up a picnic blanket and unloaded all the equipment they had brought with them so that it they could start fishing.

(AN: I haven't ever fished in my life since I live where there aren't any fishes so any information I give here is me making it up since the moment I'm writing this, there is problem with the internet so I can't research anything about it so don't roast me about the wrong information from those that actually do fishing)

"So Jialong, the first basic thing about fishing is choosing the right place to fish otherwise you wouldn't catch any fish if there aren't any in the first place." Jialong explained to his son while Yihi behind them who was sitting in the blanket, watching the father and son bonding with a fond smile on her face.

"We also need to have a strong fishing rod and also really good bait to lure the fish and capture it and the strong rod will prevent the rod from snapping. Fortunately for us, your mother makes the best fish bait and I had hundred percent success using it."

Letting them do what they came here for, she pulled out a book to entertain herself for the time being until they finished with their fishing.

About an 3 hours into their trip, the father and son caught so many fishes that they couldn't fill any more into the basket so they had to stop fishing which was a disappointing for them as they enjoyed their time fishing together.

"Well done" Inok complimented Jialong as he was impressed on his skills in fishing as he was good even for a beginner and caught much more fish than he did when he was a beginner and the worst part about it was that he was twice Jialong's age.

"I had a great teacher" Jialong returned the compliment his dad gave which earned him a hair ruffle from his dad.

"Let's return back to your mother before she gets angry" Inok said to Jialong who nodded in agreement.

"Yeah we should, I don't want to face her wrath again" Jialong said with a shiver crawling up his spine as he remembered the last time she was angry. His dad also had a pale face as he seemed to agree with the comment and decided to pack their fishing rods and other things quickly as possible so that they don't keep her waiting for any longer.

Unknown to them, Yihi did not even care that they had been fishing for longer then they had planned for as she was too engrossed in her book to realise anything that was occurring around her. This would be what puts her in danger as she was too busy with the climax of the story she was reading that she didn't realize the beast that was behind her and was creepily and silently was crawling towards her as if she were its prey.
