DROWN IN HELL

"With you, the red light will eventually turn green" ===== As she looked into his eyes, those deep dark irises, eyes that seemed to look into her very soul. That smirk that screamed 'danger'. She shuddered, feeling cold sweat drench her shirt "What's wrong?" his magnetic voice sounded with almost inhuman dexterity, he held her by the waist. "Stay-stay back, don't touch me!" her voice was shaking, almost breaking into a shout, but was actually a whimper. She slipped into his arms, heart pounding, eyes darting. Feeling complicated, a mixture of reluctance and pleasure. His chiseled face leaned into her hair, noise sniffing greedily. Her hair stood on end with nervousness, seeing the sharp fangs at the edges of his reddish pink lips. "Now you can be mine forever" 'No' she thought, but couldn't bring herself to speak. She gradually closed her eyes in despair. "I won't kill you, you're to beautiful for that" seeing her disposition, the man was amused. Vera opened her eyes in bewilderment and confusion. Mustering her courage and will, she managed yo squeeze out one word. "Why?" Her imagination ran wild, doubts began to form and dissipate at astonishing speeds. She hated when she wasn't aware of the situation. Soon her fear became anger, and anger gave way to rage. "So you kidnapped me and made me feel like a piece of shit for nothing?" The man smiled widely, and her fear returned. {CREDIT TO THE OWNER OF THE COVER From Pinterest}∆∆

Work

"This way"

Vera smiled but deep down, she knew half of what she assumed was true. The lower class don't mix with the rich, that's why she avoided herself from the things of the wealthy. Then she followed the lady to what seemed like a private elevator. She saw workers -both the servants of all kinds- but few of them. She peered from her side as the women all cast their eyes discreetly away from her.

Once she entered the elevator, she kept a livid face all through until the elevator finally opened.

"I guess you know the way" Said the lady indicating the doorway, and walked away. Vera knocked lightly on the door before opening it.

"You are late" His deep cold voice spoke from inside as her heart skipped, she shut her eyes and breath before walking in.

"I can explain sir... I was-"

"If this repeats itself next time, you will be fired, is that clear?" He warned, as his eyes sighted her and she swallowed.

"Y-yes sir" Vera stuttered, avoiding his gaze. He picked up his telephone and made a call before handing her a file.

"Work on that and your report should be submitted before 4pm. Your office would be assigned to you soon but for now, you would work in the same office with me" He said calmly, with his eyes reviewing a file on his desk.

Vera eyes widened a bit before she nodded "Yes sir" He pointed to a desk at the front of him "There...and be quick with that" he ordered as vera nodded. Her knee felt weak, and her feet felt cold as she walked to her desk, nervously keeping her bag in the desk while opening the file. Time to work...she said before opening the computer.

Few hours later...

"Yes ayla, move to your right and ask of the canteen" Vera directed while pressing her forehead lightly.

"Yes, yes...oh right, I have seen you" Vera said, waving her hand at ayla before ending the call. Ayla smiled and walked to her table "This is not fair vera" Ayla said while pouting her lips.

"Am sorry I didn't tell you about the job I acquired. It might have skipped my mind" Vera said honestly with a smile.

"Fine, fine! So...how is your first day at work?" Ayla asked.

"Sigh...it was a stress" Vera replied genuinely, pressing her temple.

"Don't over stress yourself like this vera, I keep saying this countless times" Ayla spoke worriedly.

"I know, but that's not the reason I called you..." Then she looked at her "I need your help ayla and it is urgent" Vera said.

"What do you want me to do for you?" She asked.

"Well... it might sound ridiculous but I really tend to do it"

"What is it vera? Don't put me in suspense now" Ayla said.

"Is it possible for a woman to ask a man out.. you know what I mean" Vera said in a whisper, looking left and right.

"Oh heavens!..." Ayla gasped "Don't tell me this has also affected your sanity" ayla commented.

"Well this is not the first time my sanity has been affected" She snapped.

Ayla almost cursed. Watching her friend fall vulnerable and stupid was something she wanted to scream into her head.

She looked away "You can't do that." The she spun back to her, her eyes blazing. "And to think of asking scott out is a near impossible!"

Vera grimaced at her confirmation "I would make him fall for me as long as I keep trying"

She shaked her head "Then let him see the woman in you vera. Right now, you are not thinking straight"

She didn't answer. She knew it was true.

Then Ayla held her hand "Just don't let emotion overweigh you down, and control the way your brain works" She held her hand firmly and felt a scar on her palm and then she observed her hand with a widened eyes.

"Who did this to you vera?" She said, opening the injured palm. "I will call the doctor to treat your injuries"

Vera crossed arms over her chest. "Don't call anyone. It will heal in time."

Ayla narrowed her eyes. She did not like the fact she kept these things from her. "Tell me what is the matter or I will call the doctor"

She glared at her as she grit her teeth. "It is nothing, I am fine!"

Ayla cursed. "You would've called me. I should have been there" She sighed "Why am I always the last to figure out all this things"

"Because am tired!" Vera cried.

"Am tired of calling people of my own problem, am tired of making people pity me, am tired of wanting to feel safe when I know I cannot and will not unless people shelter me, I am tired because I feel tired" Vera said and sobbed lightly.

Ayla understood what she meant. She had thought that bringing up this topic will result her being emotionally unstable. She stood up from her sit and circled the table, and then hugged her from her back.

"Am sorry vera. I didn't know you felt this way all through, am so sorry" She said, patting her back, as she heard her sobs.

Vera sobbed for a while before she straightened "I think I feel better now"

"Are you sure? I could stay like this if you like"

"No, no need. Am feeling much okay now" Vera said.

Ayla smiled and walked back to her seat. "I think I have a better way of making his attention fall towards you, but I will not guarantee his intrest though"

Her eyes brightened at that, but Ayla paused to let the knowledge sink in. "Suggest a drink at a restaurant and give him the excuse of having a long hectic day at work"

She nodded. "That is a great suggestion but my problem is him. He is very tough, you know"

"Then show him you are the toughest among you both, and am certain he might agree to it" She said.

She took a breath. "I don't know. Maybe I could use a try."

"Alright, if plan A works out perfectly well, then we move into plan B" she said as a question brushed her mind. "How long do you have?"

Vera sighed. "Five days!"

"Very well then, that five days will just be enough to persuade him, if only we try our luck" Ayla said.

"I hope so"

2 more chaps to go for the day...!(^.^)
