EPISODE 257; DELEGATION OF ELEMENTAL AFFINITIES PART VII: CONCORDIA TUTORS AERA’S ARCHERS PART VI: WIND LEVEL TWO: AERIAL FIELDS! RESPIRATION!

A day passed and Concordia and Aera's Archers reassembled in the Desert.

"Now that you've began to comprehend how Fields work, it's time to deal specifically with Aerial Fields. To do this, I'll need to explain a concept that is natural to all Living Beings. It's called Respiration and it's the reason all Living Beings can breathe" Concordia said.

"We're listening" Mimi said.

"Respiration is the process by which Living Beings absorb air from the Aerial Fields surrounding them into their bodies and process this air to release energy. It's also the process by which the air within Living Beings is released into the surrounding atmosphere after it has been processed and energy release has taken place" Concordia explained.

The Archers listened attentively.

"The process by which air is absorbed from an External Aerial Field into the Body for energy release is referred to as Inspiration and can in a sense be associated with Life since Life Energy is absorbed into the body during this process. Inspiration does not occur only with Air but can also be associated with the absorption of any element from an External Elemental Field into the Body. It's the major reason for our ability to sense our surroundings and interpret them. On the other hand, the release of air from within the Body into the surrounding environment after energy release is referred to as Expiration and can in a sense be associated with Death since a fraction of a Living Being's Life Force is released into the external Elemental Field during Expiration. In a sense, it can be said that whereas Inspiration is the process by which the External Environment interacts with a Living Being, Expiration on the other hand is the process by which a Living Being interacts with their Environment. During Expiration, Living Beings primarily release energy into their environment" Concordia explained.

"That's amazing!" the Archers exclaimed in awe.

"The Lungs of Mammals like Humans for instance are the organs through which a Living Being interacts with the Aerial Field within their environment. Different species of Living Beings utilize different types of organs however the process of Respiration isn't limited to the Lungs. The cells of all Living Beings are involved in the process of Respiration as well and as such can be said to also breathe" Concordia explained.

The Archers paid close attention.

"The Air we breathe combines with our blood and is transported in the plasma which is the colourless liquid in our bloodstream in which blood cells float. Differences in concentration between the separating membranes of the air in the Air Sacs within our Lungs and the Blood within the Capillaries which are Blood Vessels allows for the exchange of air between the Air Sacs and the Capillaries. This process occurs via Diffusion which allows the air to move from the Air Sacs where it is more concentrated to the Blood within the Capillaries where it is less concentrated. When the concentration of air in the Blood is low on the other hand, the bonds between Air and Blood become unstable and air is released" Concordia explained.

The Archers listened attentively.

"Now that you've acquired Sensitivity to the Wind, you must learn to wilfully breathe via both your Lungs and your Cells. Basically, you must reach the point where your Cells can be programmed to consciously breathe. This is the second major hurdle you must cross" Concordia informed the Archers.

The Archers trained for weeks while the Villagers continuously restocked the Food and Water Supplies for the first Migration. Initially, the Archers had a hard time but by increasing their Sensitivity to Wind by training in Concordia's Kraken Andromeda Earthen Pegasus Mode, they were able to measure their progress via how quickly their torches ran out of Flames even while they maintained a steady breathing rhythm. The changes in speed by which the Flames of their Torches were extinguished cued them in on whether their Cells were breathing more intensely than usual or not. In very little time, they gradually awakened the ability to manipulate the air surrounding their bodies by controlling the breathing rate of the Cells within their Bodies.

"Congratulations, you've finally graduated from the second level of Wind Mastery, the Aerial Field Level where you've trained to manipulate the Air surrounding your Bodies by continuously controlling the breathing rate of your Cells" Concordia congratulated the Archers.
