EPISODE 125; THE ASCENT! THE SEAL OF IDENTITY PART XLII: THE CHRONOLOGICAL/HOROLOGICAL BLOODLINE LIMIT! MONOCHRON PART V: TIME AS AN ELEMENT OF HARMONY!
We spent some time resting in the Hall Of Time. We observed the depictions of the Stars and Planets within it. After having enough rest, we returned to Prince.
"You've learnt of Time as an Element Of Significance and Growth. It's time to learn of Time as an Element Of Harmony" Prince said.
"Okay" I said as we gathered around Prince.
"Usually, Moons and Planets follow their own unique orbits with Moons orbiting around Planets and Planets orbiting around Stars. However, there are rare times in history when a very unique phenomenon occurs. This phenomenon is commonly referred to as an 'Alignment'" Prince explained.
"An Alignment" Ciella thought deeply about his words.
"Yes, it's a very special time when the Stars, Moons and Planets organize themselves in such a way that a 'Path' is formed across their orbits. When this occurs, we experience phenomena such as 'Eclipses' where one Heavenly Body stands in the path of Light emanating from another Heavenly Body absorbing most of the Light emanating from the other Heavenly Body and allowing a small portion of it to reach a planet for instance. During these 'Alignment' periods, certain established laws governing the order of the Universe may be 'eclipsed' by even 'Stronger Laws'. For instance, we all know that Daytime is synonymous with 'Sunlight' and Nighttime is synonymous with 'Moonlight'. However, during a 'Solar Eclipse', the 'Moon' exerts dominance over the 'Sun' and Night is experienced within 'Daytime'. Likewise, during a Lunar Eclipse, the Earth exerts dominance over the Sun and though we do not experience Daytime, the Sun's Light is eclipsed by the Earth preventing the Sun's Light from reaching the Moon. Simply put during 'Alignment' periods, the roles of Heavenly Bodies are 'switched' and certain natural laws may be eclipsed by even Stronger Natural laws" Prince explained.
"Alignment huh?" Ciella repeated.
I knew she was reflecting on her name.
"Alignment does not occur only with Heavenly Bodies, it occurs with very simple things as well such as 'Colour', 'Sound' and even 'Memory'. In the case of 'Colour', new colours are born when two unique colours share 'Time'. Simply put, when two basic colours overlap, new variations of colour are born so you could say varieties of colour are born when the 'Time' of various spectra of Light overlap. When there is variation for instance in the 'Time' occurring amongst various sounds, 'Rhythm' is born. On the other hand, when the 'Time' of multiple sounds overlap, 'Harmony' is born thus Time can determine both 'Rhythm' and 'Harmony' in Sounds either by a 'Disparity Of Time' or an 'Alignment Of Time'" Prince explained.
"What about Memory?" I asked.
"I mentioned earlier that all Living Beings carry the 'Past' within their 'Memories' right?" Prince said.
We nodded.
"Well, Living Beings do not live in isolation. I earlier also said all Living Beings live in unique 'Time Zones' depending on their location on the Earth. Well, when two or more Living Beings interact, a special phenomenon occurs that allows their 'Times' to overlap. When that happens, these Living Beings interacting with one another share Time. This 'Shared Time' is captured within both their 'Memories' thus even when they progress into the future and exist in unique 'Presents', they both have the capacity to revisit their 'Shared Time'. You could consider 'Shared Time' the overlapping of the 'Time Zones' in two unique individuals caused by their interaction with one another. It is an 'Alignment Of Memory' created by an 'Alignment Of Experiences'" Prince explained.
"Whoa, Time is a really mysterious element" Ciella thought aloud.
"Yeah, it is" I said.
"This ability of Time to act as an Element Of Harmony or Rhythm manifests even in Combat and in the Elemental Balance. For instance when the simultaneous utilization of multiple elements lead to the birth of a new element or the amplification of one element. Nullification is also dependent on Timing. When nullifying elements via Synchronization for instance, the Timing of both elements has to be almost exact and this applies even when nullifying elements via Polarity. In other words, the effectiveness of offensive and defensive techniques are dependent on 'Timing'. If the 'Timing' or response to an attack is accurate and in sync with the attack, one can nullify the attack or even counterattack. When the 'Timing' isn't in harmony, one party's set of moves will exert dominance over another's. Simply put, an attack is more likely to hit home when the 'Timing' of a Defensive Technique is off or is not in sync with that of an Offensive Technique utilized by an opponent" Prince explained.
"That's true" Keiran noted.
"The applications of Time are incredible" Concordia sighed.
"You can understand why Ai and I sealed a portion of Mitsuki's abilities away now" Prince said.
We stared at Mitsuki.
"Just how strong are you Mitsuki?! Even with most of your abilities sealed away you're still too strong!" I exclaimed.
Mitsuki smirked.
"I'll leave that to your imagination" she said.
