It doesn't take him long before he found her, Nakanishi had taken his hat and wig off. Her original hair fell across her shoulders. Even wearing the male uniform, there was something elegant about the girl's appearance. Kiryu made his way over and ran his hand through her hair, surprising her.
"Woaaaahhh--"
"Sorry, you probably wanted to hide your identity longer. But I had to know." Kiryu apologized. This was why he decided to take her along with him. He knew Rinna would be able to tell.
But more importantly, this is bad.
He told Lila he had a new male assistant whom he had become good friends with. There's no way he can tell her the truth now.
"Will you tell on me?"
"Honestly, I'm conflicted. I figured something was up, and I ought to confirm it soon. After all, being in an all-male class is too dangerous for you. However, you're the girl Nikki mentioned, aren't you?"
It was after Lila left, Nikki came to see him and said there was someone he wanted him to look after. So, it was this girl.
"What's your real name?" Kiryu asked.
She seemed hesitant but nodded, "Fujisaki Selia."
"Selia, I look forward to working with you."
A single smile.
But it's the brightest ray of light he's seen all day.

He sends her away to greet Rinna and the others, or at least he intended to. Rinna came over to get her. He half expected her to be mad, but the girl was friendly. But Lila will not like this. Kiryu decided to return to the dorms, but he didn't go to his room and instead entered Lila's. While Lila mainly lived at home, every student had a place in the dorms, and once in a while, she would come here.
Kiryu made his way across the room and unlocked the balcony window, as he gripped on to the railing. They are definitely here; there's no doubt about it. He could sense it clearly, that eventually grey skies will cloud the town. It just has to happen now. It just has to happen when she isn't here; it has to occur during the time she is not here.
The last time was close he barely managed to protect her, it was close. Too close for his liking, 'That girl's life is already one that will be colored with darkness. The destiny showed to me for that girl shows a bad omen, a cloud this large won't disappear'. Even so sensei, even so, sensei he wants to be able to do something for her sake.
If he could help her, he would do anything. After all, he had already abandoned her once before due to his selfish desires. Kiryu took out the paperback from his bag. He received this when he went abroad in middle school, Lila had sent the book bag with his letter. Kiryu didn't understand at first why she sent it back to him. But slowly he understood, Lila was trying to send him a message.
Yuhi didn't understand why she sent it back. But perhaps then she was already starting to sense it. As if an indirect message saying she didn't need it anymore, ' What you want to take care of me when I'm there Partner?'. A silent agreement, confirming that once again they will be in each other lives again. Yes from the looks of it they really can't escape from each other. However, this timing is terrible. The city is lurking in the darkness, and once it spreads. Hell will break loose, before then he's going to have to put an end to it before she gets involved.
Kiryu extended his palm out and was about to concentrate his power, but somebody grabbed hold of his wrist. Maroon colored short hair and chocolate brown eyes, with a stern expression on his face, "Don't," it was just a single word, but Kiryu understood what he was getting at.
"Shougo," he addressed his friend. This man is Maon Shougo, also a fellow GOD5 member, "I thought you were busy," Kiryu sighed.
"I was. But someone has to watch over you — your planning on helping Lila from the looks of it. But I wouldn't if I were you. You already abandoned her once," Shougo trailed off, and shook his head, "It's just a bad idea. You're not following orders from the main group anymore; you can lead a normal life now. In the first place, I don't think Lila-chan would want you to do such dangerous jobs."
He doesn't say anything in response to that. He knew that he already knew that. That he's no longer a delinquent and should just live his life normally now. He already knows that full well. He had every intention of doing just that. But on the way home from when he officially resigned. Kiryu heard a bunch of people talking about it, ' I don't know whether or not this timing is good or not. But perhaps it is a good thing Austin resigned. After all, what those guys want, their target is Terashima Lila isn't it?'
Kiryu had thought it was strange, strange that they had let him resign so easily. So that's how it was, that man. Did he think he wouldn't find out? After hearing that all thoughts of having a normal life at all completely went away. No, its as though it wasn't there from the beginning.
"I know that. But I can't leave her alone."
His friend shook his head, "Kiryu, it's a suicide job. If anything happens to you I won't put it past Akari-chan to," Kiryu shot Shougo a glare and the man shut up, "We all, care about Lila still. Of course, we do. But some things are out of our control. Just leave it to the adults Kiryu and patiently wait until she returns."
"I am being patient but," his gaze fell on the grey clouds that covered the town. Kiryu had no doubt it was the same all over Japan, "If people are going to hurt Lila, I have to help her."
"There is no need, right now she has Karashima Haruka by her side. He won't harm her, right?"
It pained Kiryu to hear that, but he also understood, "Leave me alone," he requested, and Shougo nodded.
His friend's footsteps faded in the distance, and Kiryu deeply sighed. It really is difficult for him, even though he said he would entrust Lila to Karashima Haruka's care. His thoughts broke off when he hears his phone vibrate.

Huh? A video? Kiryu clicked download and then the play button. There Lila appeared on the screen.
"Mm—my Kiryu, I—I love, I love you!!!"
Pfft, what is she doing? Gee, she's too cu--- he sinks to the ground catching a glimpse of her clothing. Don't act cute while wearing those sorts of clothes. Give him a break, what is he supposed to do with you?
Lila is supposed to be moving on, meeting new people, taking in your experiences. But, in her words, 'I don't care.' She said those words so quickly. Even though she knew they could both get in trouble, she took on that risk for his sake. His thoughts broke off when his phone beeped again.

Kiryu stared at the message dumbfounded by the words he saw on the screen. Good grief. Lila has no idea what sort of effect she has on him, does she? If she knew, she would be happy.
The next message that followed was more kiss emojis, a thumbs up, and a smiley. From the very beginning, his relationship with the woman named Terashima Lila was not normal. From the moment he met her when they were four years old, their fates were sealed together.

The two of them may be far apart. But, sure enough. Haruka knows they are both connected. Call it a gut feeling even if Lila didn't break the rules and called him, even if he didn't send a message to her. He's sure that their feelings would remain the same. Eventually, she will end up with Karashima Haruka. He of all people knows it will end up happening. But even then, 'I'll always love Kiryu the most.'
He strongly believed it would be like that. Lila, you'll always be the only one for him. He won't consider anyone else. However, he won't be selfish and tie her down altogether. Please lead that guy to a path of light. Once she is done with that and still has feelings for him.

A few hours later (Harukas apartment, Light Town)
Lila had felt the turbulence from the other day and was going to do something about it but received a message from her Mother saying that she would take care of it. Sure enough, those grey clouds quickly faded. Lila woke up to bright blue skies and spot beside her on the bed was empty. Lila stood up and looked around for a few minutes before she heard the door open. Haruka re-entered with a tray of food and placed it in the bedside table.
"Eat, we have a long morning," Haruka said.
"Okay…"
Lila realizing, he was sleepy still, covered the food and laid down next to him.
"Thank you," he murmured softly against her ear.
Why say thank you? He's in pain but still doesn't leave her. He still remains by her side.
Just how much does Haruka like her? How many times since then has he secretly cried?
It did not take long after that before Haruka fell asleep. When she is sure, he is fast asleep. Lila quietly tiptoed out of the room and pulled out her guitar from the corner. She doesn't want to say 'sorry' to him anymore. But, she can't thank him either.
Since coming here and leaving Kiryu, she has been very lonely. However, because of Haruka, she's been able to calm down. Her mind is a lot clearer now. She has felt refreshed, what she must do, hasn't changed.
She wanted to respond to the feelings Kiryu put behind in his new song. Such gentle kindness. Such warmth.
The warmth of the person who loves her.
