Daniel didn’t need to ask what she meant. As he had grown up seeing his days in his dreams, his lovely mother had grown up with an innate understanding of what people were feeling. It helped immensely in their business of medicinal herbs and lotions. Like Daniel, however, knowing too much about people tended to push them away.
He knew there was no point in hiding anything from her. Daniel glanced over to Kar. “Mom, this is Karden Templeton. He’s…um…”
“Oh Daniel,” Thea gushed, and threw her arms around him. With a knowing smile, she leaned over to Kar. “It’s lovely to meet you, Mr. Templeton.”
