"I am deeply honoured and grateful that each of you has taken the time to join me today. Thank you for accepting my invitation." Leaning on his chair, the vice president, Huifeng Li spoke up 

He had managed to draw few shareholders to his side, the rest either sought more benefits or proved to be too dim-witted for his liking. No need to fret though, as he knew he wouldn't require many more to accomplish his goals.

"Vice President Li, the recent scandals have affected our interest greatly. We demand an explanation" Wen Wangji Spoke up angrily 

Although he seemed angry, all the shareholders present were shrewd and knew he had said it to be on the advantageous side of the Vice President

Vice President Li could not hold back a grin as he reassured, "My apologies gentleman, the recent scandal of our president has affected the company's interest. And I do have a way we could clear everything up, but…" Huifeng Li seems to be sceptical about what he intends to say 

Some shareholders grasped the situation immediately. Given the connection between the scandal and the president, should Huifeng offer a solution, the president would need to temporarily hand over authority to ensure the issue was addressed and contained discreetly.

"Go on Vice President Li, As long as it is for the betterment of the company" Another Shareholder spoke up righteously. 

The majority of the shareholders still question the president's ability, Didnt she just graduate recently

They also held shares so they deserve to have opinions. If the president was capable would they need to hold this meeting 

Huifeng smile grew wider as he leaned back and relaxed in his chair, "Right! We shall raise the issue again with the president when present. Meeting adjourned" 

"Why end the meeting when I'm already here? Sorry for keeping you gentlemen waiting. It's that I just learned about the existence of the meeting" Evelyn spoke up stunning everyone in the meeting room. The shareholders could not help but tremble, She strode in with large stride and settled on the sit in the middle, "However, I must say, I couldn't let it end without making a proper entrance" 

Huifeng was the first to regain his composure, He had a smile plastered on his face as he greeted, "President" 

"Vice President Li, Provide me the content of the meeting discussed," Evelyn said Coldly 

At least she avoided a scheme by not sending out the post earlier. 

The shareholders stiffened, they cast a long look at Huifeng Li 

Huifeng was not at all nervous, The scandal was indeed related to the president and did cause a loss in the company as it affected their stock. So he confidently related it. 

Evelyn was not surprised, she let out a chuckle, "Let you be the president? On what ground if I may? " Evelyn pretended to recall a matter, "Oh you mean the scandal. Surely it has been taken care of if I can't take care of such a small matter I won't be here, Did none of you keep track of the official company's page?" 

Everyone simultaneously pulled out their phones and quickly checked the official page which had a new post,

Huifeng gritted his teeth, he stared at the post in fury, he checked the time it was posted and it was at the wee hours of the night. He resisted the urge to swing the phone away. 

Evelyn had a blank expression on her face, she leaned on her seat and gestured for Assistant Zhang to come over 

Assistant Zhang walked over with a computer in hand, his fingers quickly moved across the keyboard. Within a few seconds, the projector showed the post from the official page.

Assitant Zhang tapped on the post and scrolled through the comments. He made sure everyone present observed the reaction the statement had generated, it seems people are reacting well to it. There were a few comments about the scandal but it was drowned out by others 

"I believe there are no more problems?" Evelyn inquired 

The meeting room was silent, even though most were dissatisfied. But they had no choice but to accept this outcome, As long as they still held their shares 

Evelyn smiled coldly, "I'll take the silence as a no, Let me use this medium to clarify, I, Evelyn Cole hold 40% of the company's share. According to the percentage I have the authority. Let's keep that in Mind, Meeting Adjourned" 

Huifeng face distorted in fury, Others may not be able to understand but he did. He held 32% of the company's shares. This college graduate was basically informing him that unless he increased his ownership stake to 50% he could not override her leadership 

Once he closed the door to his office he slammed his fist onto a wooden desk with a vase resulting in the vase falling and shattering on the floor with a loud sound 

The secretary immediately came in, "Vice president is everything okay?" She asked but was scared by the frightening look Huifeng shot at her 

"Clean up the mess" he ordered and strode into the lounge

Evelyn heaved a sigh of relief as she slumped into her office chair, "How do I rule without being merciless?"

Assistant Zhang who stood in the doorway had a look of surprise, So… The president was just putting up a front earlier? 

He was almost convinced by it. 

Evelyn saw the surprised look on his face and couldn't help but give a mocking smile, her gaze distant.
