13 CHAPTER - X
KAMALA AND BRUCE'S POV
While Derek is resting, we can see Kamala and Bruce in the van, already close to reaching the chimera.
Kamala : "That was awesome Doctor Banner, but I wasn't expecting to go to one of the old Avengers bases."
"Yes it was, although I didn't expect AIM to set their sights on the old Avengers bases, but they were so hell bent on getting what's in this briefcase" Bruce said pointing to the briefcase in the back seat.
"can I open it, it's killing my curiosity, please, please say yes" she said to Bruce trying to convince him, while giving him the puppy dog look.
"Haa seriously kids these days, okay open it, but be careful it might contain something dangerous" Bruce could only sigh and give Kamala permission to open the case, she didn't waste a second to reach out and grab the case, put it on her lap and proceed to open it.
Kamala : "Mm, what is this Doctor Banner?"
Bruce : "What happened Kamala, is it something bad?"
Kamala : "Not really, this is more like a tracking device."
"What! Let me see it" Bruce shouted in surprise and panic, to quickly stop the van and pull over to the side of the road,
"Let me see it" she quickly handed it to him, after a few minutes in which she watched Bruce examine the new device.
Bruce : "Phew, no, this isn't a Kamala tracker, it's a neural link."
Kamala : "Neural link? What's that?"
Bruce : "Neural links are for an AI to connect to the network but not only that, if the AI is as powerful as Jarvis is it will be able to access most of the satellites on the planet, not only that it can also initiate attack on any Country or State and detect any living thing."
Kamala : "I see, but if AIM wants it so bad that they're attacking every Avengers base it was no good at all, wait you said it can detect any living being, if hypothetically AIM managed to create an AI powerful enough to access the planet's satellite network to track Inhumans and every living being with powers"
Bruce : "If your guess is correct Kamala every living being with powers will be in danger, we have to get to the CHIMERA quickly and reunite the Avengers, to do that we have to find Tony"
Bruce didn't speak anymore, he just started the van and put the pedal to the metal, trying to get to the CHIMERA as fast as possible.
A FEW HOURS LATER
It only took a few hours for Kamala and Bruce to get to the CHIMERA, but they were very surprised by what they were seeing, the whole ship was surrounded by an energy shield, but just when they were thinking of a way to get through that shield, a section of it opened welcoming them.
Kamala : "Doctor Banner?"
Bruce : "Yes Kamala."
Kamala : "When Derek said he would get the reactor working, was this to happen too."
Bruce : "No this wasn't in the CHIMERA, this ship is just a surveillance base that would fly all over the planet, this kid is a true genius it only took him seven days to not only get the ship's Reactor working, but he gave the ship a new function"
Bruce said to Kamala as they enter the ship they were greeted by a little girl's voice.
"HELLO, YOU MUST BE KAMALA AND BRUCE"
"LEMME INTRODUCE MYSELF I'M LUCY."
Bruce : "That how is it possible the only AI on this ship is supposed to be JARVIS"
Lucy : "YES, IT WOULD ONLY BE JARVIS, if Derek hadn't created me Doctor BANNER."
Bruce : "I see so it was Derek who created you"
Kamala : "Can someone tell me what's going on here?"
Lucy : "IN SIMPLEST terms I am an AI CREATED BY DEREK Ms. KAMALA"
Kamala : "This is unbelievable if I'm not mistaken you were created a few days ago weren't you Lucy"
Lucy : "YES"
Bruce : "In just a few days you are already at this level of self-awareness(it can only be explained, that you are evolving with every interaction you have with your own)"
"And what does that mean Doctor Banner" asked Kamala with a lot of curiosity.
Bruce : "That she is unique"
Lucy : "I AM unique?"
Bruce : "Yes you are"
Lucy : "Thank you."
Kamala : "Hi Lucy, I'm sorry to bother you but could you tell me where Derek is?"
Lucy : "At the moment Derek is resting, I recommend not to disturb him, as he has barely slept two hours these days, he has been concentrating entirely on repairing and upgrading the ship's ARK Reactor as well as providing shields to the ship with the new metal he created Miss Kamala."
Bruce: "What new metal?"
Lucy : "YES DOCTOR BANNER, DEREK CREATED A NEW METAL with the ability to absorb any type of energy but with a limit of absorption, HE TOLD ME TO EXPLAIN THE FUNCTIONS OF THIS METAL TO YOU, ALONG WITH THE CHANGES HE MADE TO THE REACTOR."
Bruce looked like a child with a new toy as he saw the properties of the new metal, and although Kamala wanted to go to Derek she decided to let him rest and see along with Bruce the properties of the new metal along with the improvements in the ship and without realizing it they were both hypnotized seeing what Derek had done, and then together with Lucy's guidance begin to fix the connections where JARVIS is and that he wakes up.
DEREK'S POV
Derek can be seen still asleep, but as time passed he slowly begin to stir until he woke up.
Derek : "Mmm why is everything dark, LUCY what time is it?"
Lucy : "You finally woke up Derek, and in answer to your question it's 9:00 pm"
"I see" Derek said to get up and start stretching but as he did so you could hear his body thundering.
CRACK CRACK CRACK CRACK.
Derek : "Haa I feel refreshed"
(SEE STATUS) thought he, wanting to see this time his stats correctly after the last update of his status points, which surprised him a lot to see his improvement in his basic attributes and how his physical abilities also improved, not counting the new titles and skill, once he saw his improvement he was about to close the status but realized he still had a notification without seeing it.
When he opened the notification, he realized that it was not a notification but a message from the God who brought him to this world, and although he did not want to read the message, he decided to do it.
[ HELLO DEREK, I HAVE SEEN THAT YOUR PROGRESS HAS BEEN VERY OUTSTANDING, I AM GLAD YOU ARE WELL, BUT I AM AFRAID THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO GET STRONGER AS FAST AS POSSIBLE, SINCE YOUR EXISTENCE HAS ATTRACTED THE ATTENTION OF THE STRONGEST BEINGS IN THE MARVEL AND DC WORLD. ]
[ THE ONE ABOVE ALL AND THE PRESENCE, FOR NOW I WILL USE MY POWER TO KEEP THEIR EYES AWAY FROM YOU, BUT I WON'T BE ABLE TO DO IT FOREVER, THAT'S WHY IN THE NEXT HIDDEN MISSION I WILL GIVE YOU AS A REWARD THE FIRST UPDATE OF THE SYSTEM, AND AS A BONUS THE SYSTEM CAN BE UPDATED THREE TIMES IN WHICH YOU WILL BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE RESTRICTIONS AND WIN SOME EXTRA BONUSES, MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU. ]
"what the hell, how did this happen, haaa, and why did it have to be the worst Gods that had to notice me, I only have one option, I.e. Upgrade the system" said Derek with conviction, but suddenly the door to his room opened out of nowhere showing Kamala.
"Derek, Lucy said you woke up already, so I came to check on you" but she couldn't finish speaking when she saw that Derek was actually naked.
"You,you scoundrel" Kamala shouted at Derek, as she walked out of the room.
"But this is my room what's wrong with being naked rather you are the one who should apologize for coming in without knocking Kamala" replied Derek as he knew Kamala was still around after the door closed, as he could hear Kamala's heart beating a thousand a second.
Kamala : "Just get dressed and let's go quickly Doctor Banner has already finished installing Jarvis only you are missing to turn it on."
Derek : "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say pervert." said sarcastically
Kamala : "I'm not perverted, you are." as she was red and pouting.
"Hahaha whatever you say" he just teased her a little and started to get dressed once ready he left the room, only to see how Kamala was still a little red from what happened, Derek decided not to continue with the subject.
Derek : "Come on Kamala, let's not keep Banner waiting."
That was the last thing Derek said to Kamala and go to the command room, when they arrived at the command room what greeted Derek was a very happy Bruce still reading the fixes and improvements Derek had made to the ship and the new Reactor.
Derek : "So I see someone is very happy, aren't you Bruce."
Bruce : "Oh Derek I see you finally woke up, I wanna ask you a lot of questions about what you have done but I will do it another time, come on I am going to wake up JARVIS" and without saying anything else Bruce started to install JARVIS on the CHIMERA's operation center table, which took a few minutes to install, once finished, he proceeded to turn it on and a few seconds later a projection of a data core appeared.
Bruce : "Hello Jarvis how are you, it's a pleasure to see you again".
Jarvis : "IT'S A PLEASURE TO SEE YOU AGAIN DR. BANNER, IF I MAY ASK, WHY DO I FEEL ANOTHER AI LIKE ME".
Bruce : "Hi JARVIS that would be Lucy, don't worry about her she is harmless."
Lucy : "Hi Jarvis, I'm so happy to meet someone just like me, my name is Lucy."
Jarvis : "THE PLEASURE IS MINE LUCY, YOU CAN CALL ME JARVIS, BACK TO DR. BANNER, WHAT DO YOU WISH ME TO DO"
Bruce : "Very insightful as always JARVIS, but yes we have brought you here because we need you to look for Tony".
Jarvis : "I UNDERSTAND, LOOKING FOR .... WAIT A MINUTE SOMETHING IS WRONG DOCTOR BANNER.... O GEEZ IT LOOKS LIKE MY NEURAL LINK WAS DAMAGED WHEN THE CHIMERA CRASHED.... IT'S A VERY SPECIFIC TECHNOLOGY THAT MR. STARK CREATED FOR THIS SHIP ALONG WITH SHIELD, WITHOUT IT I CAN'T ACCESS THE GLOBAL DATABASE."
While Derek was thinking about the neural link, as it was the first time he heard about it, Kamala interrupted him with a shout.
Kamala : "NEURONAL LINK! We got it, Doctor Banner you remember the briefcase we snatched from AIM!"
Bruce : "That's right, we have it, JARVIS looks like we've got the problem solved."
Derek : "Wait guys am I not hearing things, AIM attacked the place where you went, why didn't you tell me".
Derek : "Hmp, like this pervert is going to tell me anything."
"So if I'm a pervert" once Kamala realized what she said she tried to correct herself but Derek's mocking look made her realize that he was still teasing her "I'm not talking to you anymore".
Derek : "Hahaha o come on Kamala it's fun to tease you."
"There you go I've installed it guys" Bruce said to the surprise of both of them.
Kamala : "What ,but when"
Bruce : "Mm I did it while you guys were flirting kids".
kamala : "But no.... we're flirting...."
Derek : "Leave it Kamala he's making fun of you too" (even I didn't notice, looks like Bruce has a talent as a killer) was Derek's thought at what happened.
Jarvis : "WITH THE NEURAL LINK SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED I CAN NOW ACCESS THE GLOBAL DATABASE AND MY OWN".
"How are you feeling JARVIS?" asked Kamala.
Jarvis : "EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE WORKING FINE, MS. KAMALA.
Bruce : "Then with that can you take us to Tony JARVIS".
Jarvis : "IT WILL TAKE ME A WHILE, BUT I SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND MR. STARK."
A FEW HOURS LATER
Jarvis : "I THINK I FOUND HIM, DR. BANNER."
Bruce : "Show us Jarvis."
Jarvis : "MR. STARK'S LAST KNOWN LOCATION IS HIS FAMILY'S MANSION, GOLDEN ACRES. THERE YOU MAY FIND A CLUE TO HIS WHEREABOUTS."
Derek : "That place is very secluded, isn't it Bruce."
Bruce : "Yes it is, I didn't even know it existed."
Derek : "He doesn't seem to want to be found."
Jarvis : "INDEED GENTLEMEN, THE PROPERTY IS LOCATED IN A REMOTE AREA OF NEVADA, AND I CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH PRECISE COORDINATES"
Bruce : "Jarvis could you analyze the area and look for traces of residual energy from the reactor Tony is carrying in his chest."
Jarvis : "UNDERSTOOD, IT WILL TAKE A FEW MINUTES..... DR. BANNER, I COMPLETED THE ANALYSIS YOU REQUESTED AND DISCOVERED RESIDUAL TRACES, THERE IS AN 85% CHANCE THAT MR. STARK IS STILL THERE."
Bruce : "Thank you Jarvis."
Jarvis : "STARTING THE QUINJET ENGINES, SIR?"
"Eh.... Which quinjet?" said Bruce a little nervous about what Jarvis had said, but in reality he was more so because of the piercing stares from Kamala and Derek.
"Do it JARVIS" without saying more he walked out of the command room with Derek and Kamala behind him, once they arrived where the Quinjet was, which they watched as it descended in the elevator of this one.
Kamala : "Doctor Banner did you always know this was here?"
Bruce : "Hehehe of course not Kamala I swear."
Derek : "I just think you wanted to take a ride in your van, don't you Bruce."
"Ha, ha, ha, ha, no, no..." said Bruce nervously as he climbed into the Quinjet.
