CHAPTER - V

Once they arrived at Dr. Banner's lab he pointed Derek to the side where a gurney was.

Bruce : "You can put your friend on there, while I put on some clothes of my size if anything happens to her just call me."

Derek : "I understand."

And without another word Bruce opened the same door to leave, as the door closed Derek saw him enter a door with his name on it which implied that this was his room.

So 3 minutes passed until Bruce reappeared in his classic purple shirt and black pants like in the comics and movies.

Bruce : "Has your friend shown any signs of discomfort or unease during my absence?"

Derek : "Not at the moment it's just she's little pale and been sweating."

Bruce : "Ok that helps, I'm going to take your vitals and some of your blood to see what I can find ok?"

Derek : "If that will help you know it's okay do it."

Once Derek gave him the go ahead Bruce started taking her vitals, which were stable for an hour and followed with taking a sample of her blood, once he took the sample he walked over to his table where a microscope were not one of the normal ones and this one was totally, it's 40x-2500x microscope, once he put the blood sample in this one he could see how the cells in it were multiplying and dividing getting stronger from their nucleus.

Bruce : "Derek I must say your friend is amazing and from what I see you don't have to worry she has nothing serious."

Bruce : "Tell me she and you haven't eaten anything in these last two days besides using your powers at every turn didn't you?"

Derek : "That's right we've been running away from those damn things until we got to the CHIMERA we haven't had time to eat."

Bruce : "I see well why your friend fainted is because she lacks calories every time she uses her powers."

Bruce : "Her body consumes a lot of energy, but I don't know why you haven't had the same thing happen to you, would you let me take some of your blood to see how you are"

Derek : "I see, no I know my body perfectly if I get to feel bad I will tell you and at that time I will let you take a sample of my blood."

"But..."

Bruce still wanted to try to convince him to let him take a sample of his blood, but seeing Derek's totally serious look he decided to keep quiet.

'I don't trust him enough to give him a sample of my blood, besides I don't know how paranoid this version of Bruce Banner is, I don't want my blood to fall in the wrong hands besides my body and blood is very special since I have the x or mutant gene and the inhuman which makes me unique, and I don't want them to create clones of me in MARVEL and DC there is a lot about clones I don't want to risk with that..' thought Derek only to be interrupted by Bruce Banner

Bruce : "Well now that we know what your friend has we just need to give her the calories she needs on your left side there is a compartment it's a freezer open it and hand me a serum to give her intravenously."

Derek just nodded to what Banner said and pull out one of the serums and watch as he connected the serum to Kamala's arm.

Derek : "So that would be it then wouldn't it"

Bruce : "Yes that would be all Derek once this one runs out...if I calculate right I should only have to give her about 3 more serums and she should be fine it will take about 5 hours for her to wake up"

Derek : "Thank you, I'll leave her in your care and I'll be right back."

Bruce : "You don't have to thank me, wait where are you going, why are you leaving her?"

Derek.: "I'm not going to abandon her I'm just going to go train outside here I won't be able to do it and if she wakes up I'll know I have very good hearing and smell plus you need a bath you stink you should teach the Hulk to take a bath once in a while."

Bruce : "I see, hehe sorry for hesitating and you're right I'll take a bath I hope the Hulk didn't damage any pipes while chasing them."

Derek just smiled before leaving, once he was outside he stood for a moment while he took a breath and exhaled it, then he took off his shirt or what was left of it.

Since after having fought with all those synthezoids and receiving their attacks it didn't look wearable anymore, once he did that he started with a soft jog until about 10 minutes passed to start accelerating to his maximum speed.

Since he wanted to train his stamina and increase his skills level because that would help him when he has long battles and with his skills at higher levels the stronger he would be, Once he completed the 10km he started with the squats for about 20 minutes to complete them.

Once he completed them he took some time to take a breath even though he was not close to feel tired he just did it to relax his muscles a little to continue with the sit-ups and he did until he reached the push-ups once he was half way through the exercises he remembered that he had not checked the notifications of his rewards or seen his status or skills

Once he finished all the exercises of the daily mission that the system gave him, the notification of the system appeared making him smile.

'Alright with this my stats are mostly balanced, most of my skills have gone up a level or two and I am now less human and more Dragon that would explain why I am not tired like I was the first time'

'I did these exercises but I must not only rely on this I am also feeling my emotions increase the more Dragon I am and my libido is also increasing I am finding it harder and harder to control myself when I am around Kamala I have to find a way to control these instincts or I may come to regret it'

He could hear Kamala's voice a little disoriented, while he was on his way he looked in one of the containers on the way for some clothes to change since the one he had were useless, but the only thing he found in his size was a shirt and pants with the Stark logos and without further ado he put them on and went to Kamala once he opened the door he saw her much better.

Derek : "I see you look better Kamala and from what I see you've already met Doctor Banner."

Kamala : "I'm sorry for worrying you Derek, and thank you for your help Doctor Banner."

Bruce : "You are welcome nd I also wanna thankyou for convincing the Hulk to let me out and I must say the blood sample I took from you Kamala."

Bruce : "You are amazing but you must be careful that your calories don't drop since every time you use your powers you consume them too."

Kamala.: "Wait you took some of my blood, you can't take blood from people like that." Kamala said in worried tone.

Bruce : "I know, I know. Under normal circumstances, no... But at that time I have to do it plus your friend gave me his consent."

"Derek you allowed how could you..." Derek realized she was starting to over think so he interrupted her before this got out of hand.

Derek : "First calm down and yes I allowed it because you fainted after you grew about 6 to 7 meters and destroyed most of the synthezoids"

Derek : "you fainted when I brought you here you were very pale and you were sweating a lot, I only allowed it because we needed to know what was happening to you."

"I understand I was just a little surprised that's all" even though kamala wanted to say more and felt a little reluctant to have some of her blood taken she knows Derek only allowed that because he had no other choice.

Bruce : "Well at the moment this is all settled, so are the AIM robots chasing you both for your powers or is there something else kids?"

"Actually even I don't know exactly, I think you have to tell us what's going on Kamala" Derek for his part already knew why AIM was chasing Kamala but he couldn't say anything since Kamala and Bruce would suspect him.

Bruce : "HAHAHA it's a joke isn't it"

Kamala said to give Bruce the flash drive with the AIM file and he accepted to plug the flash drive into his laptop and start watching the video along with Derek.

"That's Tarleton... Why is he turning off the security protocols?"

Bruce said to then watch as Tarleton locked Cap in.

"He... he just..."

Kamala : "Did you see, did you see, that's what I thought, he locked Cap in the rector's room. And then he tried to steal the CHIMERA."

Bruce : "Or you may be overreacting. We know the reactor was failing, is it possible the Cap asked him to shut down the security protocols and then lock the doors?"

Derek : "There are many variables that happened, like Taskmaster's attack and all the equipment they were carrying they were more than ready to fight you but not to defeat you I would say it was more like a distraction, but your point is also good but if it wasn't Tarleton but someone else who also helped in the creation of the new power source who had access to it and the best to you someone who if he knew the effects of would give if this failed"

Bruce : "That's impossible haha...shit how could I have been so stupid."

"How could I have been so blind we have all been playing in the palm of their hand, but if all this is so bad as to pursue every inhuman being with powers like animals why hasn't the Justice League done anything" Bruce said but Kamala interrupted him.

Kamala : "Actually Doctor Bruce we still don't know how AIM did it but he convinced the government to sign a treaty where the league can't meddle in inhuman affairs plus he created a dome that surrounds the whole country and state so they won't wake up any more inhumans."

"This is all my fault I trusted him, I let him use me and the worst of all this was that I showed him my research on Gamma energy" Bruce said with a look with many emotions sadness, disappointment and the strongest of all IRA, Derek seeing that this was getting more and more dangerous approached Kamala to stand in front of her while looking at Banner and see how his eyes turned green.

Derek : "Doctor Banner I know you are upset and feel used and disappointed but you need to calm down you are one of the brightest minds in the world and that is what we need."

Bruce : "I know that, but this is all my fault" he said as he took short breaths trying to calm down.

Derek : "If you know and you feel sorry then get a grip and help us sort this out stop whining about everything bad that happens to you and blaming it on others"

Kamala : "Wait Derek you can't say something like that to him he already feels guilty about all this".

Bruce : "HAHAHAHAHA you know it's been a while since anyone has talked to me like that the only ones that have said that to me have been NAT and TONY, and here I was thinking they were nosy little thieves wanted the Cap shield hahaha"

"Vez I told you so you looked like a thief hahahaha"

"Hey I'm not a thief"

"Yeah but you're the one who would take Cap's shield while he was salivating"

"That didn't happen like that I was just hungry"

"HAHAHAHA you guys are hilarious come on you need a ride".

"Where to" said Derek

"Well let's go find Tony although I don't think he wants to see me after what I said about the avengers" but just as he turned to leave the lab he heard the roar like a hungry beast, Bruce turned his gaze to see Derek holding his stomach while blushing "HAHAHAHA and also buy some burgers on the way".

A FEW MINUTES LATER

We could see Bruce, Kamala and Derek eating in an old and dirty van, while Bruce was driving and by the atmosphere you could tell that for Bruce it was a little uncomfortable but Kamala and Derek were ignoring all that while they were eating and sipping their sodas to Bruce's disgust and to top it off Kamala put some Katy Perry - Firework music on the radio.
