CHAPTER - IV

As they continued to run from the Hulk, Derek was thinking about how to lose the Hulk but Kamala interrupted him.

Kamala : "Derek I'm really sorry, this is all my fault, I got excited when we found the Chimera and even more so when I saw Cap's shield."

Kamala : "I couldn't help but want to get my hands on it."

Derek : "Relax Kamala we'll figure something out."

Derek : "Everything will be fine for now let's just concentrate on getting away from the big guy."

Derek said to Kamala to keep running and even though they missed the Hulk they knew it wasn't for long as they could hear the roars of the Hulk getting more and more furious, only to have nowhere else to run, Derek looked all around looking for a way.

Derek : "Kamala we have to jump."

He didn't wait for an answer and just took her hand to pull her to his body and take her as a princess and jump besides lighting his feet on fire to give himself more momentum to get to the other side.

Once they reached the other side Derek didn't let Kamala get off his arms.

He kept running and jumping, just when he was about to pass a door, But suddenly all his senses screamed danger and by instinct he activated the abilities [SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH] and [SUPERHUMAN SPEED] to pass the door.

Once he entered Hulk went out through a wall destroying everything in his path and when he saw Derek and Kamala he tried to hold them but as his body is bigger than the door he could not pass and they took advantage of that to escape from Hulk.

"GRRRRR!!...."

"ROAR!!....."

Seeing this he roared with more fury destroying the whole frame and as the room was still small for him he destroyed everything while he was chasing them.

Derek : "Shit if we keep going like this he will catch us at any moment."

Kamala : "Maybe if we raise our hands in surrender and give him back the shield he'll forgive us."

Derek : "Maybe but if it doesn't work we're dead."

But as they were talking suddenly the Hulk came out of the ground with his arms outstretched to catch them and he almost succeeded if it wasn't for Derek's heightened senses which at the last moment he pushed himself when the Hulk tried to catch them and threw Kamala about 2 meters in the air to turn her body and bring her knees up to hold them with her arms like a ball and pass over the Hulk and once he touched the ground he stretched his arms to catch Kamala like a princess and keep on running.

Just as they were about to pass a destroyed bridge they saw the Hulk who was still not giving up jumping over the walls of the CHIMERA to throw himself at them and as Derek did not think to wait for him he jumped with Kamala.

Derek : "Kamala get on my back"

Kamala : "Roger that."

And he jumped, Hulk seeing that he wasn't going to reach them ripped off a part of the metal wall and launches towards the two of them while they were in the air but Kamala reacted in time by putting Cap's shield and deflecting Hulk's attack but that also deflected them to another part of the CHIMERA because of the strength of Hulk's attack.

(Holy crap this is going to hurt)

Derek thought as they were sent flying into one of the jets on the ship, but before they hit Derek covered his body in scales from the metallic Dragon to spin in the air and put his back to take the impact while shielding Kamala.

BOOM

Derek : "AUCH my back that did hurt, are you ok Kamala."

Kamala : "AY yes I think so, but are you fine".

Derek : "Well I'm not complaining, I just fell from a height of 50 feet onto a freaking jet but I'm fine."

Kamala : "Heh I didn't know you were sarcastic as well"

Derek : "Well there's a lot you don't know about me, but that's for later because the big guy is already here."

Derek said as the Hulk jumped and fell to the ground BAMM and sink the metal floor a bit as he took his fall.

Hulk : "CRAPS... STEAL... CAP SHIELD GRRR YO SMASH THIEVES!"

Derek seeing that the Hulk actually saw them as thieves quickly got up but never got his body back to normal.

Derek : "Kamala give me the shield I'll give it back to him."

Kamala : "Okay but be careful."

Once Kamala gave him the shield he slowly walked towards the Hulk as he raised his hands in surrender.

Derek : "Hey big guy I know my friend was wrong to take Cap's shield, but we're not here for this, we thought there were Inhumans here, I'll just leave the shield 5 meters away from you yeah."

Although Hulk still seemed upset and didn't say anything Derek noticed that he was listening to him and calming down.

He put the shield on the ground and didn't move waiting for Hulk to come and pick it up and it seems that his plan worked, as he started to walk in his direction.

When the Hulk was two steps away from him he bent down and picked up the shield but he kept looking at Derek and although many will say that the Hulk is just a monster who doesn't understand anything and destroys everything in his path, but in reality over the years he has been maturing since the first time Bruce Banner transformed into the Hulk

His mind was that of a child and he defended himself from the military that attacked him but now it has been a few years and Derek knows it and that's why he did not look at him as a monster but as a misunderstood child.

Hulk : "You not being afraid of... Hulk"

Derek : "Why would I be afraid of you big guy, I always thought you were awesome plus green looks good on you, tell me can we be friends?"

Derek told him as he held out his hand for a handshake and although the Hulk looked like he was a little hesitant in the end he smiled and returned the handshake.

"HULK'S FRIEND"

'AUUUU MY HAND, even though it was restrained and I have the metallic Dragon scales activated it still hurt' but just at that moment a blue screen appeared in front of him.

Derek was very happy for his rewards (these are good rewards, when this all calms down I will check the other rewards from the previous missions) and looked back at the Hulk.

With that the Hulk smiled and jumped off leaving Derek and Kamala there, once Kamala saw the Hulk leave she decided to get off what was left of the Jet.

Kamala : "He's gone, he won't kill us right?".

Derek : "No Kamala everything is fine and from what I could see while we were escaping the Hulk is that the resistance was here before but I think the reason why they are not here is because of the Hulk."

Kamala : "Great then we came for nothing"

Derek : "I wouldn't say that."

Kamala : "What do you mean Derek?"

Derek : "That if we can get the Hulk back to do Bruce Banner. He could help us with the information you have plus maybe we can get the avengers back together again."

Kamala : "It could work out but how do we get him back to Doctor Banner."

But suddenly they heard the Hulk roaring and gunfire coming from outside the CHIMERA.

Derek : "Looks like our friends from AIM are here and the Hulk is not happy."

Kamala : "I don't like this."

Derek : "Neither do I Kamala but if what I'm thinking works maybe we can bring Bruce Banner back."

Derek : "If you wanna go then climb on my back"

Once Kamala climbed on derek's back and made sure she had a tight grip derek started to run and jumped to the nearest wall to jump from wall to wall and propel himself with the flames on his legs for speed, the higher they climbed the louder they could hear the Hulk roaring, gunshots and metal bending, it took them 2 minutes to get to where the battle of Hulk vs AIM was happening.

When they arrived the first thing they saw as the Hulk grabbed one of the Jets like it was nothing to throw it at the syntezoids and destroy them.

Derek : "Come on Kamala we have to help him and be careful."

Kamala : "I will, you be careful too Derek."

Derek just smiled at her and started to run to the Hulk who had a synthezoid which he had not seen until now which was bigger than the previous ones plus it had a plasma sword on the right arm and the left arm forms an energy shield and on its chest you could see what was a REACTOR ARK from Tony Stark's armors

Derek : 'mm looks like they have already made advances with STARK technology I have to get those robots as intact as I can to find out how they work and create my own suit.'

Derek : "Hulk here throw it to me big guy I'm here to help you."

When Hulk saw it he was surprised but still throws it towards Derek, who transformed his arm into the Metal Dragon Sword as flames covered it and jumped to cut off the robot's head like it was nothing and suddenly disappeared the body and head once he saved them in his inventory and landed next to Hulk.

"AMIGO?"

Derek : "Hi big guy I came to help you I hope you don't mind, you know I like to smash too."

Hulk : "HAHAHA SMASH GRRR"

Shouted Hulk to launch himself at the remaining synthezoids, while Derek looked over to Kamala to see how she was doing and saw that she was facing one of the new robots he defeated and even though she was having trouble

He could see how she learned the attack pattern of her enemy and dodged their attacks and then she attacked it's blind spots but the shield did not allow her to hurt it.

So she polymerized her arms and fists to make them giant and start hitting the shield without giving robot time to attack it's enemy who could only protect itself until the shield disappeared and she took advantage of that to attack synthezoid relentlessly until she lifted him and whipped him to the ground and leave them there to enlarge her arms and fists a little more and lower them again to crush him.

Derek : 'Good thing she doesn't seem to be so afraid when it comes to fighting and although she is a little nervous when she fights. when it comes to attacking she's still gotta time ahead of her and from what I saw those robots are still unstable it seems they still don't understand how the ARK REACTOR works'

Derek thought to dodge an attack of a synthezoid and grab the head of this one with his right arm to shout [GRAB OF FIRE DRAGON (KARYU NO AKUGEKI)] and then create a big flare from his hand totally melting the head of the robot and save it in the inventory of his system

Derek kept doing this or he would cut their heads off with his left arm but number of times he used the scales of the Metal Dragon as he wanted to increase his stamina and reaction time.

He only did this thanks to the infinite potion he received that not only healed his wounds but also regenerated limbs, but suddenly he heard Kamala scream only to see her turn into a giant of about 6.5 meters and start destroying all the synthezoid in her path.

Derek : "Well that's showing off, don't you think so big guy."

Hulk : "GRR girl rubber crush good..... pleasing the Hulk"

Derek : "HAHAHAHA her name is Kamala and by the way the my is Derek my dear friend."

Hulk just nodded at him in understanding but suddenly he saw Kamala start to go back to normal and move funny to be passed out on the ground and the syntezoids started to close in on her and Derek saw this too.

Derek : "Hulk help her I'll take care of those scraps besides I've had enough of them I'll destroy them all robots."

"UNDERSTOOD!"

Hulk said to derek to jump in the direction of Kamala once he got there he opened his arms as if he was going to give her a hug and closed them again to clap BAAMM and get everyone away from kamala and from there grab her and take her inside the CHIMERA.

Once Derek saw that she was safe he turned his left arm back to normal and ignited his whole body in flames to starts running and his two arms began to gather a large amount of flames which gave off a lot of heat as all the metal nearby was beginning to melt and once he was two meters from all the robots he joined his hands with the flames he gathered in them and combined them creating a giant ball of crimson fire and launched

[GLOWING FLAME OF THE FIRE DRAGON (KARYU NO KOEN)]

BOOM BOOM !!!!

BOOM BOOM BOOM !!!!!!

A big explosion was heard that generated a lot of smoke and dust in the process, when all the smoke and dust dispersed only that gave the rest of the robots and molten metal, the system gave him 3 notifications.

Derek : "There you go it's over, although for the time being it's easy once AIM manages to use the STARK technology fully and create the adaptoids it won't be so easy I have to get stronger."

As Derek walked over to where the Hulk and Kamala were talking while he was thinking, once he got close to them and saw that Kamala was still not awake it occurred to him how the Hulk could become Bruce Banner again.

Derek : "Hulk I know you don't like Bruce and I don't like him either but at the moment we need him I don't know if Kamala is ok and the only expert we have here is Banner."

Although the Hulk stared directly at him he didn't dodge his gaze for a few minutes until the Hulk growled "OK JUST FOR FRIEND.... NOT FOR WEAK BANNER".

"Thanks big guy" said Derek to give him a Hulk hug and walk away to give him room to do Banner again.

GRRUU GRUUM

Bruce : "HA HA HA HA What happened where am I and who are you?"

Derek : "Hello Doctor Banner my name is Derek Hale Dragneel and I am Inhuman tell me what is the last thing you remember?"

Bruce : "Hello and the last thing I remember is being in court and saying that the Avengers are dangerous."

Derek : 'Crap that means he's been transformed into the Hulk for 5 years'

Derek : "Doctor Banner I want you to calm down, you see after that day 5 years have passed in which you were transformed into the Hulk."

Bruce : "What but how... it can't be.... 5 years and where are we "

Derek : "In the CHIMERA but we are stranded in the desert".

Bruce : "I see I think I'm empounding to remember though memories come and go, but you guys wanted the CAP shield."

Was what Bruce said as he looked doubtfully at Derek.

Derek : "Actually that was a misunderstanding we already apologized to the Hulk, we came here because we thought this was where the resistance was and the reason you came back was because I was convincing the Hulk to let you out because my friend fainted when she overexerted her powers and you are the only one I know who can help her."

Bruce : "I understand come if you want to help her we have to go to my lab there I have what I need to see what she has and help her."

Said Bruce Banner to get up while holding the pants super stretched by Hulk so that he does not fall, for his part Derek carried Kamala as princess very carefully while following Bruce.
