Chapter 54

Hakai fired out dozens of his ranged attacks, pressuring Kong into a corner and with the destruction of nearby buildings, it was becoming increasingly harder for Kong to use something to get away since he was using the trees to get away and traverse around.

As Hakai swung his sword, he heard a voice deep within him. It was a familiar voice, but it was his first time hearing the voice.

"My name..."

He paused hearing the voice, and Kong capitalized on the situation immediately moving to attack him, but Hakai didn't care about that. He was occupied with other things.

Hakai looked around him and saw that he was in a damp, and wet cave. The floor was wet being slightly flooded, but even though it looked like he was in a cave, he knew he wasn't actually in the cave.

He could feel that his body was still in Mary Geoise, but it seems his spirit has been transported to a special place.

A bright purple light appeared in the dark cave. The light approached Hakai, revealing that the light was just eyes as it revealed his whole head which was gigantic.

"Are you my Zanpakuto?" Hakai asked.

It had 2 pairs of wings but it wasn't a complete dragon. It's bottom half resembled a dragon, but its upper half was humanoid with 2 sets of horns on the side of its head.

"Yes, I am. Would you like to know my name?" it asked.

"Musabori," it said, coming closer to reveal its full gigantic form.

Hakai smiled as he was transported back to Mary Geoise. "Thank you, Musabori!"

"Hakai, if you want to use me. You must say my kaigo," Musabori said in Hakai's mind. "Just repeat after me and say, Disappear."

"Disappear!" Hakai yelled out loud unlocking the first release of his Zanpakuto.

The katana that Hakai had before extended to the length of a nodachi as his power was released, blowing back Kong who was charging at him.

"What happened?" Kong asked himself. "He feels... stronger."

A black aura surrounded Hakai's sword as its appearance changed turning plain and pitch black.

(AN: If you want to imagine the sword easier just think of a plain, completely black katana surrounded by a black flame-like aura. That's the shikai, or first release of his Zanpakuto.)

Hakai inspected Musabori and swung it towards Kong.

Musabori channeled Hakai's spiritual energy which had mutated being mixed with his draconic energy and released a highly condensed attack, flying towards Kong.

The attack was strong, being the personification of the void, and it was fast too. In fact, it was fast enough to damage Kong, who although was past his prime, is still strong enough to defeat most pirates.

The attack contacted with Kong's right shoulder, leaving a deep, and large cut that threatened to cut off his arm.

'This guy... I don't know what happened, but if I didn't apply haki last second I'd have one less arm,' Kong thought.

"Sorry, Kong, but it's time to end this. It's been fun, but you weren't my goal in coming here," Hakai said plainly.

"Shut up, brat! The battle isn't over!"

"Oh, but I believe it is."

Hakai disappeared from where he was standing. This was the first time in the entire fight that he went truly offensive, completely giving up on defense and just focusing on attacking.

He appeared beside Kong, his hand firmly gripping Musabori as he swung it one last time to finish the fight.

Kong, even with his mastery of observation haki noticed Hakai way too late and now a blade was heading towards his neck at a fast speed.

He tried to block the attack with his pole imbued with haki, but the blade sliced through it like butter. "This is the end, huh."

Kong accepted his death, feeling the cold blade of Musabori.

---

"This is quite the development. I did not expect Kong to be defeated."

One of the Five Elders rubbed his chin. "We should deal with this individual before his bounty inevitably increases and we are humiliated even more."

---

The reporter watching by the side witnessed the whole thing happen from beginning to the end, taking pictures of the whole thing, but he was promptly knocked out by Hancock when she noticed him.

"What should I do with this one? He's not employed by the World Government, and he's not a Celestial Dragon."

"Just knock him out. Judging from what he has, he's a reporter and it's good if we get known more."

"Understood."

---

"I definitely feel stronger. This new power up is great," Hakai said as Nojiko appeared beside him.

"We've dealt with the guards outside of the castle. What should we do now?" she asked.

"Get back to the ship. Free the slaves and put them on the ship."

Nojiko nodded and turned around, following Hakai's orders.

Hakai didn't necessarily care about the slaves, but it wouldn't be bad if he had followers and what better than slaves that hate the Celestial Dragons.

(AN: Short chapter but I just wanted to get the fight over with.)
