Dragon Ball Z: The Core

What if Gohan had a twin sister with the soul and memories of someone who had watched the Dragon Ball Z TV show? That's Hanna, and her goal is to protect Earth. MC is going to attempt to manipulate the canon. This means that even after she gets powerful, she'll be hiding her powers. (This is just a pet project of mine. Don't expect updates to be too regular, and while I have a general idea of where I want the plot to go, I haven't set a plan in stone for it. While the plot will follow the same arcs as the TV show, not all of the movies will be incorporated. By the way, this is MY INTERPRETATION of the canon, so not all information in the story will be completely correct when compared to the official canon.)

Ch. 17: Agreement

"Alright, if you agree to follow cosmic laws and not interfere in mortal events from now on, then I suppose I can overlook this unauthorized pocket dimension. Just replace Arlia, connect the pocket dimension here to the rest of the cosmos, and agree to limit your interaction with the mortal races." Whis demanded of me.

"Come again?" I asked, hoping that I'd misheard the Angel. Unfortunately, I hadn't.

"Naturally, I can't allow you to continue holding the planet Arlia here indefinitely, nor can we have an illegal pocket dimension. Following cosmic law as a divine entity may be difficult, but it does keep the cosmos running, after all."

"I've got no issues with putting Arlia back. I was planning on doing that eventually, anyways. I can't agree to the other two conditions, though." I told Whis. Naturally, I was planning on interfering with my family's fate whenever I needed to, and I wasn't about to allow any other gods inside my Core. I wasn't Grand Zeno's pet, after all.

"And why not?" Whis asked, seeming to be genuinely confused.

"I'll agree to limit my involvement in mortal affairs to a certain extent, but I'll decide where that line goes. On top of that, the Core is my home, and I'll do with it as I please." I told him, drawing a hard line in the sand. Honestly, my future plans wouldn't interfere with cosmic laws that much. I understood the fact that there needed to be some sort of check on omnipotent-like powers. Unfortunately, I didn't trust the other omnipotent beings in this universe to impose those checks on me. I'd do it myself. I seemed to get my point across to Whis, and he bit his lip, thinking it over.

"We'll see how the future goes, then. As much as I hate it, I guess I have no choice. I won't hesitate to report you, though, if you go too far. I also will be checking up on you from time to time." He finally agreed.

"Alright. But stay away from Earth unless going there is entirely Beerus's idea. I'll have one of my girls stay on the Destroyer's planet with you, so that you can use her to contact me if you ever need to." I decided. If Whis went to Earth before the events of Dragon Ball Super, then it was possible that the timeline would get distorted by his interference. I was just lucky that he was a bit of a loose cannon, prone to ignoring anything that he didn't want to deal with. He might report me to the Grand Minister, but the Grand Minister likely wouldn't do much against me unless I broke major cosmic laws. Beerus wouldn't know about me until I revealed myself.

"That's fine. Would you mind taking me home, then?" Whis asked politely. I had one last thing to say to him before he left, though.

"By the way..." I turned my aura up to maximum, turning off all of my restricting gear to overshadow Whis's power, "Don't ever hurt any of my girls. Ever again." I was still incredibly furious about Kelsey. I could have lost her had she not been capable of the resurrecting technique.

"I understand. I probably owe you an apology for that, don't I?" He never actually apologized.

When I took Whis home, I had one of my girls volunteer to go with him, as per our agreement. Naturally, none of them liked the idea of being close to Whis without brutally killing him, but eventually one of the girls stepped forward. It was Kelsey.

Since she was the one that Whis had targeted, she wasn't angry at Whis himself. Her progenitor was a Saiyan, after all. She'd never be angry at anyone else for the fact that she lost a fight. She was simply angry at herself for being weak enough to be snuck up on in the first place, even though Whis was one of the Angels, and was therefore one of the fastest, sneakiest beings in the cosmos.

While all of the other girls wanted to kill Whis brutally for hurting their sister, Kelsey's feelings toward Whis were different. She just wanted the chance to try and fight him with a disadvantage. She actually respected the guy for what he'd done. Naturally, if he got close to her, I'd kill him myself, but she definitely wouldn't kill him and call it an 'accident' like some of the angrier girls would seriously think about doing. It made her the best candidate for the job out of all of my girls, and I wasn't about to send him a girl who couldn't resurrect herself, anyway.

I didn't dare let my girls feed Whis, since some of the plants on the Core could instantly kill even high gods, so he and Kelsey left pretty quickly after Kelsey changed into clothes that would restrict her ki. Once he was gone, you could feel the attitude of the place get a lot lighter as the girls all greeted me and Shay. We'd only been gone about nine months by our count, but for them it'd been quite a while longer than that. The girls weren't affected by time the way normal people were, but time passed was still time passed, so lots of hugs went around.

"Well, guess I better start holding up my end of the bargain, huh?" I looked at Shay.

"I'll do it, Mistress." Shay nodded her head at me adorably, like a little puppy as she eagerly jumped over herself in order to do my work for me. I sensed a little fluctuation in her power as she replaced the planet Arlia in the next instant before she focused on me again, "Done! Would you like for me to do anything else for you?" She asked, eager to serve me.

Wondering, not for the first time, where Shay's attitude came from, I laughed, unable to resist patting the overeager little girl on the head. Despite her clear annoyance at my 'breach of etiquette,' she closed her eyes happily on reflex at my touch. I'd missed having her around this past few months, but our jobs weren't quite done yet, so we didn't spend much more time in the Core before we went back to our respective assignments, me training Pigero and her watching my dad train with King Kai.
