Chapter 137

Once the Kamehameha wave ended, Kakarot landed on the ground and immediately reverted to normal as it seems his UI transformation finally wore out, I, on the other hand, tanked the full power of Kakarots Kamehameha wave, which I must say was very powerful, if I hadn't of activated Ikari just before then I would've gotten injured, of course I wouldn't have been heavily injured or anything, but I want to be in peak condition when I fight Mira.

Goku-"Haa, haa, you're really powerful Sage, even after all that not a scratch on you."

Sage-"Well what did you expect, did you think you could possibly harm me while using an unmastered technique? Though I must say your final attack at the end was quite impressive, even in my base I would've had difficulty stopping that attack."

While I was talking with Kakarot, I looked over to the middle of the arena to check the time.

Sage-'Hmm, not much time had passed while fighting with Kakarot, if I had to take a guess I still have about 30-35 Takks left, and it seems only a few participants have been eliminated since I started fighting with Kakarot.'

Looking around at the amount of damage the arena has sustained, it's quite surprising considering this place was tested by Destroyers before the TOP started, just the attack Kakarot did had caused a chasm spanning till the other side of the arena.

Sage-"Anyways, since you've managed to improve the technique, then I'll be leaving, I suggest you prepare yourself for the fight against Jiren."

Goku-"hehe, I'm fine, I just need some rest."

Shaking my head at Kakarots stupidity, I leave him be and run around the arena, checking to see if anything is catching my eye, and a few things do, one of them is Dyspo who I was interested in fighting. Sadly though he looks to be at the end of his ropes while fighting Gohan and Frieza, slightly surprising that Frieza would be willing to work with Kakarots son, but hey desperate times call for desperate measures.

Another thing I noticed was that Universe 9 and 10 have been erased, leaving only their respective angels, it must've happened when Kakarot and I were fighting as I had no clue until now. After running around for a little bit I stopped before the timer pole in the middle of the arena and jumped up to the top, I decided to stay up there and meditate for a little bit as I hadn't found anything interesting, well except for Jiren who is currently sitting down and meditating, but he's not who I have to deal with.

Sage-'Mira has barely moved since the tournament started, he's currently just sitting down doing nothing, he's probably waiting for me, well then he'll only have to wait a little bit longer.'

Sitting down in meditating position, I start preparing myself mentally for the battle I'm about to partake in, as this isn't going to be just a normal fight, well at least not to me.

Every battle I've been in till this day, I've fought against opponents that wished to kill or devour me, and that's something I'm fine with, as the Dragon Ball Universe is ruled by the strong while the weak die off. It never bothered me that if I lost I'd die, from a young age that's all I've been taught, from both mother and father, that if I lose a fight I'd die, though that's probably because they've spent almost all their lives fighting while eradicating entire species because of Frieza's rule.

However this situation, this battle that's about to happen is different, that bastard killed my daughter before my very eyes, so I must defeat him, losing to him Isn't an option, it was never an option, besides if I somehow lost Kakarot wouldn't be capable of winning against Mira, and that's even if he manages to defeat Jiren which will definitely not be an easy task.

Sage-'If I lose, Universe 7 gets erased, so all I have to do is win, simple.'

Once I'm fully prepared for the battle, I stand up from my position and focus my eyes on Mira's location, right when I do he lifts his head up looking in my direction, but because of the hood he's wearing the only expression I can make out is a slight smirk on his face.

Launching myself from the top of the pole, I crash onto the ground about 10 meters in front of him, blowing the dust away, I stare at him seriously as he gets up from his position and removes his cloak, allowing me to fully see him.

He looks the exact same as what I remember, except for his eyes, his eyes now give off the feeling of a fighter, taking note of that slight change, he begins speaking.

Mira-"It seems you've finally decided to fight me, though one thing I shall tell you is that this battle will not go like last time, previously I enjoyed mercilessly toying with you and I did so because I believed you wouldn't be capable of stopping me, but because of my arrogance, I was beaten, nearly killed in the process. However, with the help of Towa, I've been rebirthed, even stronger than before, but it still wouldn't have been enough to defeat, let alone the current you, so I went to another timeline and fought against many enemies, killing them in process and absorbing their DNA making me stronger in the process."

Mira-"Even after gaining tremendous strength, I still had this feeling that I wouldn't win the next time we fought, I was confused as the power I have was incredible, something stronger than even the destroyers, so I reviewed our battle and you know what I found? Fighting Spirit! Something gained through perseverance, hard work, and battles, something I didn't have as I was born powerful, till I met you I never had tasted defeat, even when you went berserk, you still radiated a fighting spirit. So to gain this so-called fighting spirit, I set a goal for myself, something I want to achieve no matter what the cost, and that's to become the strongest being ever!"

When he finished speaking, I could practically sense his fighting spirit, his will to accomplish his goal, and his determination to stand by his desire no matter what happens.

Mira-"However in order to achieve my dream of becoming the strongest being, I'll first need to defeat the only being I've lost to, and that's you, Sage!"

When he finished talking his white hair spiked up while his eyes become red and he blasted his ki wantonly in all directions, causing every participant to stop what they were doing and look in the direction of the dense towering red aura radiating off of Mira.
