Broly and Queen Vegeta entered Zelta smoothly.
Queen Vegeta hopped off of Broly's back and stood on the metallic floor while Broly stood up, stretching his back after the long journey.
He had intentionally flown slower, partly to reduce the strain on Queen Vegeta and partly to get enough information out of her.
"Broly!" Mr Yellow chirped as he heard them enter.
"You won't believe what I found out! This planet actually has-"
Mr Yellow flew around the corner, seeing Broly and Queen Vegeta at the entrance.
"Eh!? You brought a woman back already? I'll prepare the-"
Mr Yellow's words were broken by a stray green ki blast that hit his chest suddenly.
Mr Yellow cartwheeled in the air, recovering from the momentum of the attack.
"Who's the tin can?" Queen Vegeta asked, unamused by the robot.
"A machine I built, he helps around the ship," Broly said simply, his face slightly reddened.
"You built that? You geek!" Queen Vegeta said genuinely, believing that building the small robot was much more reasonable.
Yami smiled from ear to ear.
'I like this woman a lot, can we keep her?'
Broly ignored Yami and inspected Queen Vegeta's body.
She had two long scars that went down the outside of her cheekbones, both symmetrical, seemingly caused by the same attack, now that she was inside the ship, she wore Broly's sash like a cape, exposing scars and bandages wrapped tightly around her legs and arms. The bandages also seemed to take the place of any kind of underwear.
Broly looked at Queen Vegeta's battered body sympathetically.
"There's a healing pod in the bathroom, you can use that to heal up," Broly said softly.
"Where's the bathroom?" Queen Vegeta said, looking down the wide corridors.
'Such a huge spaceship! Either the kid is lying or he's a super-genius! she exclaimed, looking at the cutting-edge architecture.
"Oh right!"
He pulled the black band around his neck and a tablet formed.
Broly tapped the screen a few times and handed it over to Queen Vegeta, who looked at it strangely as she hadn't seen a tablet in years.
"Follow the arrow and you'll get there, the towels are in the upper cupboard and there's a spare toothbrush in the cabinet underneath the sink," Broly said clearly.
Queen Vegeta turned around and followed the blinking arrow wordlessly.
"She seems nice," Mr Yellow said.
"She's been through a lot," Broly said understandingly.
"If you say so...anyway, this planet is packed with ki crystals, so far I've managed to harvest over 450 shards! Although getting them is a bit difficult, it's well worth it. The readings on these things are insane!" Mr Yellow said, excited that he was exploring a new science.
"What colour are they?"
"Green"
"They belonged to the Wind Tribe," Broly said, now understanding why the area they were in was empty.
The Wind Tribe had fallen long ago.
"Well don't just stand there! Show me the crystals!" Broly said, also excited.
"Oh right! They're in the storage room, the tubes that you built make collections really easy," Mr Yellow said turning around.
"Where did you find them?" Broly asked as he walked.
"Deep underground somewhere, there was a huge hole in the ground that used to be what I think was a mine and there's tiny green residue scattered all over the land up top which leads me to believe that somebody came and mined away the structures that used to be there," Mr Yellow explained.
"That adds up, it would make sense for the other tribes come back and pillage what they could to try and gain an advantage," Broly said, thinking about the story Queen Vegeta had told her.
Yami thought quickly.
'Forget about the Ice and Fire Tribes, you need to go to the Lightning Tribe mine! According to Queen Vegeta, the Lightning Tribe still has the most powerful crystals! The Super Lightning Crystal still might be there!'
Yami quickly covered his mouth.
'Super Lightning Crystal?' Broly questioned.
'It's too long to explain, just go over there!'
'I will! Just wait for a second!' Broly said, not getting why Yami was suddenly so excited.
Broly and Mr Yellow arrived at the storage room, many wooden crates containing packets of food neatly stocked in the corners while a pile of ki crystals were lumped in the centre.
'Why don't you keep food in those Capsule Cubes?' Yami asked.
'It goes bad quickly and the crates have refrigeration capabilities so nothing expires' Broly explained.
'Clever' Yami commented.
As they were talking a tube extended from the ceiling and another 50 or so, ki crystals fell onto the heap, making a light scraping sound.
Broly walked towards one of the crystals and picked it up.
The crystals were all about the shape of a dagger, slim and narrow in size, Broly had to grip it with his thumb and index finger to even hold it. The crystal he was holding was a shimmering verdant green colour, the light from the ceiling illuminating it like a mini lava lamp.
Broly stared at it, thoughtfully, trying to analyse the interior makeup of the crystals but his eyes strained, barely able to see it.
"Hmph!", as explosive green ki wave rushed out of his body, rattling the crystals on the floor as a gust of wind flew away from him.
Broly, before he had even trained in the Super Saiyan form, practised going in and out of it, as if he couldn't control when he transformed it wasn't very useful to him in his eyes.
At this point in time, Broly could transform if he yelled softly, perfectly mimicking the way Yami transformed in front of him.
Yami was already immune to Broly's irregular growth rate.
In reality, if Yami hadn't shown Broly how to transform, he wouldn't be where he was now.
Broly's eyes relaxed as the strain on his eyes slowly reduced, his vision increasing in capacity a few folds.
His ki instinctively covered his eyes, allowing him to see ki in much greater quality.
'What a strange composition!' Broly thought staring at the alignment of the energy particles.
It was much more complex than the one he had formed when he made his own wind waves.
Broly put back the shard and picked up a longer one, one that poked out of both ends of his huge man hands.
Broly breathed out and powered down, his hair turning black again.
Broly squeezed then shard in his hand, using some of his strength to try and break it.
He could feel some tension within the crystal but no cracks formed.
'What? You can't break it?' Yami said, taunting Broly.
The crystals in the first place were the only reason why the race on Mentels was as formidable as they were.
Broly had no right being able to break the crystals, much less in his base form.
Broly didn't reply and laced his arm with ki, not using it to blow up the crystal but supply his arm with strength, the life energy increasing the output of his muscles.
Clink!
Clink!
Cracks slowly formed on the face of the crystal but it didn't break, only shattering more and more.
Broly suddenly used his full strength, irritated that he couldn't snap it and the crystal broke immediately, tiny shard flying out.
Broly reacted quickly and wrapped the crystal with ki, the shards that flew out were suspended in mid-air, centimetres away from his face.
"So you can break it!" Mr Yellow exclaimed.
"Yeah..." Broly said, dropping it to the floor, dissatisfied with how much effort it took.
Yami was silent, tired of being surprised.
"Well, it's a ki crystal why don't you try putting ki into it?" Mr Yellow asked, upset that Broly's first instinct was to try and destroy it.
Broly picked up another shard and pushed ki into his fingertips, trying his best to channel it through the crystal, like he would if he was touching his arms.
The crystal glowed brightly, coming to life as green light roared silently out of it.
WOOOOOSH!
A huge gust of wind flew out of the other end of the ki crystal, slamming against the wall which diligently resisted, forcing the wind to spread out evenly on the walls.
"Woah!" Broly and Mr Yellow said at the same time.
"You got anything to eat on this tin can?" Queen Vegeta said, walking into the storage room.
[Storyteller: Eh? Mr Author, I'm going on a break, call me when something exciting happens, I can't hype up this boring chapter.]
