Gohan continued to fight fiercely with Cell in the centre of the battlefield.
On the sidelines, Goku kept encouraging Gohan to get angry, but Gohan was no match for Cell.
In the end, Gohan was kicked by Cell and flew straight into a building.
Earlier, during his fight with Goku, Cell had destroyed the entire arena, feeling that it was too restrictive for everyone. Without the arena, everyone could unleash their full potential.
So now, there was no longer a rule that you would lose if you fell out of the arena.
Seeing that Gohan was completely outmatched by Cell, Piccolo angrily said to Goku, "Goku, what are you doing? You have to understand that Gohan is not you. He doesn't enjoy fighting as much as you do. If you push him like this and he ends up getting killed by Cell, what will you do then?"
Goku's expression turned serious, and he didn't know what to say.
As he watched Gohan being mercilessly beaten by Cell in the battlefield, Goku hesitated. He had thought too simply before, believing that Gohan would become stronger as long as he kept getting angry. However, he hadn't considered that anger wasn't an emotion that could be summoned at will.
Just as Goku was about to step in and replace Gohan, Cell stopped his attack and said, "You're not angry? Well, then I'll make you angry."
"What are you going to do?" Gohan asked in surprise.
Cell shouted, "I'll find a way to make you angry!" After saying this, Cell began to count the number of people present.
"There are ten people, so I'll make ten of them!" Cell said, and then he opened his tail, which had shrunk to its smallest size, and ten little Cells emerged from it.
Cell pointed at John Doe and the others and shouted, "One for each of you! Kill them all!"
The little Cells instantly emitted a yellow aura and flashed with electric sparks, resembling Super Saiyan 2.
Cell smirked at Gohan and said, "Each of these little Cells has 90% of my strength. Apart from your father and John Doe, none of the others can possibly defeat them. So, aren't you angry yet?"
John Doe immediately transformed into Super Saiyan 2 and, together with Android 18, they faced off against two of the little Cells that were attacking them.
Cell was right; the little Cells were indeed very powerful. Individually, they were only slightly weaker than John Doe, but Android 18's strength was not enough to defeat them.
So, the two of them could only barely maintain a stalemate against the two little Cells.
However, compared to John Doe and the others, Piccolo and Krillin were in trouble. They were quickly knocked down by the little Cells and were about to die at their hands.
John Doe and Goku kept firing energy blasts and energy discs to help them.
To make matters worse, the Senzu Beans in Piccolo's hand were destroyed by a high-energy beam from one of the little Cells.
Cell looked at Gohan with a crazy smile, stepping on Gohan's head with one foot while shouting, "Get angry! If you don't get angry soon, all your friends will die!"
It was unclear whether Gohan was angry at this point, but John Doe was definitely furious.
He couldn't beat Cell, and he hadn't expected that even the little Cells that had split from Cell's body would be too strong for him.
Watching Piccolo, Krillin, and Tien Shinhan being beaten by Cell, John Doe was furious. He felt that the plot had deteriorated to this point because of his own arrogance.
If he hadn't been so proud, Cell wouldn't have become so powerful.
John Doe felt like a flame was burning in his brain, consuming his rationality, as if it were about to engulf his entire sanity.
John Doe struggled to maintain his composure, barely keeping his rationality from being consumed by the flames. He didn't know why he suddenly felt so angry.
Suddenly, Android 16 dodged an attack from a little Cell and appeared behind Cell, hugging him tightly. He said to Cell, "Cell, it's over. I won't allow you to destroy this Earth, and I won't allow you to slaughter the humans on this planet. So, Cell, let's die together."
Android 18 was startled by Android 16's actions and shouted, "No!"
She knew that all the Androids had a powerful bomb inside them, and it was clear that Android 16 wanted to take Cell down with him.
Android 16 looked at Android 18 and said gently, "Android 18, you and Android 17 are good people, and John Doe is a good person too. You must live happily with John Doe in the future!"
Cell was shocked. He had learned from the computer's data just how powerful the bomb inside Android 16 was, and he wasn't sure if he could survive Android 16's self-destruction.
So, Cell frantically elbowed Android 16's abdomen, trying to break free.
Under Cell's struggle, Android 16 could only barely hold on, so he tightly hugged Cell and flew towards the sky, while his body began to emit a white light, indicating that the self-destruction sequence had been activated.
Android 16's gentle gaze fell upon the earth, and then he looked at John Doe and the others, saying, "Goodbye, my friends."
Cell shouted, "No!"
A deafening explosion echoed in the sky, and a giant mushroom cloud rose, accompanied by a powerful air wave that spread in all directions.
At the same time, the ten little Cells burst open and turned into a cloud of grey smoke.
Everyone stared at the mushroom cloud in the sky, and Krillin asked in a daze, "Is Cell dead?"
Goku carefully searched with his ki and then relaxed, saying, "He's probably dead. I can't sense his ki."
On the other side, Android 18 sat on the ground, staring at the sky above, and muttered, "Android 16..." As she spoke, two clear tears slowly rolled down her cheeks.
John Doe walked over, put his arm around Android 18's shoulder, and comforted her, "Android 18, it's okay. We still have the Dragon Balls. When the time limit for the Dragon Balls is up, we'll make a wish to Shenron to revive Android 16 and Android 17."
Upon hearing John Doe's words, Android 18's eyes lit up, and she quickly wiped away her tears. Then she tapped John Doe and said, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? You made me cry."
John Doe comforted her, "It's not too late to tell you now. In my eyes, no matter what you look like, you're the most beautiful!"
"Really? More beautiful than Bulma?" Android 18 asked, looking up.
Hearing Android 18's question, John Doe's heart skipped a beat, and he answered without hesitation, "Of course! You're the most beautiful in my heart, and no one can compare to you."
After saying this, John Doe glanced at Android 18 and saw her smiling. He breathed a sigh of relief.
Just as everyone was overjoyed and preparing to return to Kami's Lookout, a familiar voice suddenly came from behind them.
"Do you all look so happy?"
