Dr. Brief was startled by his daughter's excited reaction and defended himself quietly, "That's not a Dragon Ball, it's just a special glass ball."
"Who cares if it's a Dragon Ball or a glass ball, I just want to know where it is!" Bulma continued asking.
"Oh, ah, I think it's in the warehouse at home, but I'm not sure where I put it," Dr. Brief answered.
After hearing her father's answer, Bulma didn't even finish her dinner and ran quickly to her family's warehouse.
However, when Bulma opened the warehouse, her heart sank. The warehouse was enormous, and there were too many things inside. How long would it take for her to find it alone?
Suddenly Bulma thought of John. After all, she was planning to give the first wish to him, so asking for his help to find the Dragon Ball shouldn't be a problem.
Of course, there was no problem, except she didn't have John's contact information. Ah, it was all her mother's fault for scaring him away, otherwise, she wouldn't have made such a big oversight.
Meanwhile, after saying goodbye to Bulma, John had been so frightened by Bulma's mother that he ran all the way home in one breath. Only after closing his front door did John finally catch his breath, relieving his heart that was beating rapidly from running.
Since it was too late, John started preparing his dinner. While cooking, he realized he hadn't exchanged contact information with Bulma.
With no other choice, John planned to wait for Bulma after school the next day to exchange contact information.
John couldn't have imagined that in just one evening, Bulma would receive news about a Dragon Ball, and soon they would embark on their journey to find the Dragon Balls.
The next evening, John came to Bulma's school gate to wait for her after classes.
Soon, John spotted Bulma's blue hair among the students leaving school. He quickly waved, "Bulma!"
Bulma also saw John. After saying goodbye to her classmates, she rode her motorcycle over to where John was.
"Hi, John! I was just thinking yesterday about how I couldn't notify you without your contact information. Fortunately, you came to find me today, otherwise I wouldn't know how to tell you this good news," Bulma said happily upon seeing John.
"Good news?" John's eyes immediately lit up, and he continued asking, "Have you figured out how to make the Dragon Radar?!"
Bulma smiled and said, "No, I haven't made the Dragon Radar yet, but I believe it will be soon. Today's good news isn't just that I can make the Dragon Radar, but that we're about to have our first Dragon Ball."
"A Dragon Ball? How many stars?!" John immediately asked, "Can I see it? I've never seen a Dragon Ball before!"
Bulma smiled and said, "How could I bring something so important to school? The Dragon Ball is at my house. Come back with me, and I'll show you the Dragon Ball you've been thinking about."
To prevent John from running away because of her mother again, Bulma decided not to mention that the Dragon Ball hadn't been found in the warehouse yet.
Getting on Bulma's motorcycle, Bulma revved the engine, and the magnetic levitation motorcycle sped quickly toward her home.
Like lightning, they soon arrived at Bulma's house.
After getting off the bike, John suddenly thought of Bulma's mother and carefully asked, "Your aunt isn't home right now, is she?"
Seeing John's expression, Bulma suddenly realized having a mother who liked to play pranks wasn't such a bad thing, and her mischievous side came out. She casually said, "Don't worry, she should be shopping at the mall right now. She won't be back until dinner time."
Hearing that Bulma's mother wasn't home, John immediately relaxed his body and asked Bulma, "So, Bulma, where's the Dragon Ball? Let me see it quickly."
Bulma said, "Follow me, the Dragon Ball is in our warehouse." After saying this, she took a magnetic levitation board from the wall and handed it to John, then rode one herself to lead the way.
Looking at the magnetic levitation board in his hands, John felt amazed. He copied Bulma and stood on it, then pressed the forward button, and the magnetic levitation board began to move forward.
The warehouse wasn't far away, it was on the first floor. Bulma quickly led John to the warehouse entrance.
Bulma opened the warehouse door, leading John inside. When she turned on the lights, an enormous warehouse appeared before John.
John marveled briefly at the size of Bulma's family warehouse, then asked, "Where's the Dragon Ball?"
Bulma finally said sheepishly, "I'm sorry, yesterday my father told me he had received a Dragon Ball as a gift before, but he put it somewhere in this warehouse, so now I need you to help me search the warehouse. You won't refuse, right?"
As she spoke, Bulma looked at John with a pitiful expression, her blue pupils full of a vulnerable look.
John felt his throat go dry and said hoarsely, "Of course, of course it's no problem. Let me look for the Dragon Ball. This kind of hard work should be done by us men."
This was exactly what Bulma was waiting for. She immediately said, "Great, no problem then. I'll go get you something to drink. By the way, what would you like?"
John said, "Plain water is fine."
"OK, you get started then, I'll be right back. Stay for dinner tonight, you can try our kitchen robot's cooking." With that, Bulma left.
John was about to say dinner wasn't necessary, but seeing Bulma leave, he could only swallow his words.
Looking at the warehouse that was as big as a football field, John sighed and muttered to himself, "Let's get to work!"
With that, John began searching through the warehouse, one item at a time.
While John was searching for the Dragon Ball, Bulma's mother walked into the warehouse carrying a glass of water.
John heard footsteps and thought it was Bulma. Without looking up, he said, "Bulma, your family's warehouse is so big! Just searching like this is really time-consuming. Have you ever divided the warehouse into sections? We could skip the areas where things are frequently taken and first search the places that aren't visited often. That way we could speed things up."
"Oh my, I didn't expect Mr. John to be so clever! I'm becoming more and more satisfied. Are you sure you don't want to be my daughter's boyfriend?" Bulma's mother said with a smile as she stood to the side.
