With the sound of a gong, the battle between Vegeta and Botamo commenced.
Botamo, the metal man, did not initiate an attack due to his massive weight. Instead, he continuously sprayed hot steam into the arena, filling the space with a dense fog.
Vegeta, in his normal state, relentlessly attacked the metal man, causing the entire arena to resonate with the clanging sounds of metal on metal.
However, Botamo remained unfazed by Vegeta's attacks, which had no effect on him. On the contrary, Vegeta was forced to retreat under the metal man's relentless pressure.
Botamo's counterattacks were particularly devastating. After each punch, the arena floor was littered with shattered debris.
Goku, recalling his victory over Botamo in the first match, shouted to Vegeta, "Vegeta, you can really knock your opponent down!"
Hearing Goku's voice, Vegeta's heart raced, and he dodged Botamo's attack, positioning himself beneath the metal man. He then grabbed Botamo's massive foot and exerted all his strength.
Unfortunately, Botamo remained unmoved on the arena, while Vegeta received a hard blow to the head.
Dazed and disoriented, Vegeta was immediately struck by Botamo's powerful kick, sending him flying out of the arena.
As Vegeta was about to fall out of bounds, Champa became excited, thinking, "I'm going to win!"
However, Vegeta managed to adjust his posture mid-air and flew back into the arena.
Vegeta turned to Goku and scolded him, "Kakarot, what kind of rotten idea was that?!"
At that moment, Whis smiled and explained, "Botamo is a metal man, and the average adult of his species weighs around a thousand tons. It's perfectly normal for Vegeta to be unable to move him."
"A thousand tons? That's incredible!" Goku exclaimed in awe.
Botamo couldn't fly, but that didn't mean he couldn't attack from the air. He continuously sprayed molten lava at Vegeta.
Vegeta felt extremely frustrated with the way the fight was going, so he transformed into a Super Saiyan and engaged Botamo in a fierce exchange of blows.
Vegeta unleashed a barrage of energy blasts at Botamo's molten lava, but in his eagerness, he failed to notice that the entire arena was now filled with scalding steam.
Large beads of sweat formed on Vegeta's forehead, and his stamina began to deplete rapidly in the scorching heat. As time passed, Vegeta found himself gasping for breath.
"Damn it!" Vegeta clenched his fists in frustration, searching for a strategy to counter his opponent.
Meanwhile, Botamo continued to spray the arena with scalding steam, enveloping the entire space in a thick mist.
Champa, standing on the spectator platform, cheered loudly, "Good, good, good! Botamo, keep it up! Cook that despicable fighter from the Seventh Universe!"
The spectators from the Seventh Universe remained silent, each deep in thought, strategizing for Vegeta's next move in this critical match.
Only the three little ones on the platform shouted enthusiastically, "Dad (Uncle), keep it up!"
Vegeta, standing on the arena, suddenly had an idea. He realized that Botamo's inability to fly could be his advantage. "If I destroy the arena beneath Botamo's feet, I'll win for sure!" he thought.
Without hesitation, Vegeta began firing energy blasts at the arena floor beneath Botamo's feet, causing it to shatter.
Botamo quickly realized Vegeta's strategy and retaliated by spraying molten lava, but the number of energy blasts far exceeded the lava's effectiveness. With Vegeta's relentless attacks, only a small portion of the arena floor remained beneath Botamo's feet.
Finally, Vegeta achieved his goal. He flew towards Botamo and, in a fit of frustration, shouted, "You piece of junk!"
Botamo, who had been in a defensive stance, suddenly dropped his guard upon hearing Vegeta's insult. Seizing the opportunity, Vegeta landed a powerful punch on Botamo, eliminating him from the match.
The spectators were stunned, unsure of what had just transpired. Why had Botamo suddenly abandoned his defense?
When Botamo returned to the Sixth Universe's spectator platform, he hid behind the sofa, sobbing uncontrollably.
"What's going on?" they wondered.
Whis smiled and explained, "Don't be fooled by the metal men's sturdy appearance. They have fragile hearts, and hearing unpleasant insults can cause them to lose their fighting spirit."
"Why didn't you tell us this earlier? You let Vegeta struggle so much," Beerus angrily questioned Whis.
Whis covered his mouth and laughed, "Cheating to win isn't your style, Lord Beerus. I did it for the fairness of the match! Haha..."
Beerus, unmoved by Whis's response, turned to Champa and mocked him, "Champa, now you know the strength of the Seventh Universe. All you do is think about eating. If you had spent some time nurturing the strong fighters in your universe, you wouldn't have suffered such a humiliating defeat."
"I think the remaining two matches are unnecessary. You should take your fighters back and train them for a few years," Beerus added.
Upon hearing Beerus's words, Goku panicked and pleaded, "Lord Beerus, please don't stop the matches! The opponents will only get stronger as we progress, and I'm eager to test my skills against them."
Beerus reassured him, "Don't worry, I know Champa too well. He won't give up the next two matches. He's not the type to surrender easily. A God of Destruction's heart doesn't know surrender."
As expected, Champa reacted just as Beerus had anticipated. He shouted, "Damn you, Beerus! Don't get too cocky. I still have two fighters left, and I have Saiyans too. I won't lose to you!"
Hearing Champa's words, Beerus turned to Goku and John Doe, beaming with pride, "Did you see that? That's Champa. I knew he wouldn't surrender. That's why I mocked him. When you have the chance, you have to use it, right?"
Goku nodded in admiration, "Lord Beerus, you're so cunning."
Beerus, slightly taken aback by Goku's words, replied, "I believe you were complimenting me just now."
Goku sincerely responded, "Lord Beerus, I was complimenting you just now!"
