Chapter 10: Vegeta Transforms into a Super Saiyan

Vegeta, taking John's words to heart, began to meditate within the spaceship, recalling the horrific scene of Frieza slaughtering his people and destroying Planet Vegeta.

John, sensing the potential danger, immediately warned Vegeta, "Vegeta, you can't transform here! The spaceship won't withstand your power. The first transformation is always uncontrollable!"

Without delay, John piloted the spaceship towards the nearest planet and landed.

On a desolate surface, Vegeta closed his eyes to continue his meditation. Despite not being present during the destruction of his planet, he could vividly imagine the tragedy, having witnessed and caused similar destruction himself over the years.

He needed to envision himself as a victim, a stark contrast to his role as a perpetrator in the past.

The more he thought about Frieza, the more intense his imagined scenario became.

As time passed, beads of sweat formed on Vegeta's forehead, and his body began to tremble violently. His hair and eyebrows underwent a transformation, shifting between black and gold.

With a mighty roar, Vegeta unleashed a powerful golden aura, marking his transformation into a Super Saiyan.

His eyes, filled with rage, sought an outlet. However, he found himself without an enemy, as Frieza, his greatest foe, was already dead.

John understood the significance of the first transformation for a Saiyan, especially when fueled by anger. He knew that imprinting this state in Vegeta's mind would make future transformations easier.

"Vegeta, come at me. Treat me as your enemy, as Frieza," John challenged.

Vegeta, without hesitation, lunged at John with a barrage of punches. Their battle commenced on this unfamiliar planet.

"Hah!" Vegeta, unsatisfied with mere hand-to-hand combat, unleashed a volley of energy blasts from a distance.

John, realizing Vegeta was merely venting his anger, felt a twinge of annoyance as Vegeta showed no restraint.

Dodging Vegeta's energy blasts, John retaliated with a powerful Kamehameha.

Vegeta, crossing his arms, deflected the attack, his aura unwavering. Only his battle suit showed signs of damage.

The fight continued, from the ground to the sky and then underwater, leaving the planet's surface scarred and pitted.

After about half an hour, John noticed Vegeta's anger subsiding, and his body began to tire.

"That's enough. You've experienced the Super Saiyan state. Let's end this sparring session," John said, blocking Vegeta's incoming attack.

"Your first transformation as a Super Saiyan is exhilarating, but it also drains your energy rapidly. Let's stop here to avoid serious injury," John added.

Vegeta nodded in agreement and reverted to his normal state.

John summoned their spaceship, and as they boarded, Vegeta collapsed into a deep sleep.

Unbothered, John continued piloting the spaceship towards their destination.

During their journey, Vegeta, instead of sparring, focused on learning from John and Goku, striving to maintain the Super Saiyan state and catch up to their level.

After about half a year of travel, they landed on a familiar planet, the same one John had sent Kanu to after leaving Planet Gunte.

The once-thriving planet now lay in ruins, with Frieza's soldiers still slaughtering its inhabitants.

Vegeta, upon witnessing this, immediately flew into action, attacking Frieza's soldiers. John followed closely behind.

During their flight, John had been pondering the threat within Frieza's army, beyond Frieza himself.

His thoughts turned to the Ginyu Force, a formidable enemy from the original storyline, yet strangely absent in this world.

The only member of the Ginyu Force who posed a threat to John's life was Captain Ginyu, due to his unique 'Change' ability.

John, while battling Frieza, had been vigilant against a potential ambush by Ginyu, but surprisingly, the Ginyu Force never appeared, even after Frieza's demise.

John found this puzzling, as his current strength and speed should have made it impossible for Ginyu to execute his 'Change' technique. John could have easily defeated Ginyu before he uttered the word 'Change'.

John pondered what he might have overlooked.

As John and Vegeta continued their search for Kanu while eliminating Frieza's soldiers, John spotted a frog hopping on the ground.

This triggered a memory from his past life, and an idea formed in his mind.

John captured the frog and placed it in his pocket. He collected more small animals, filling not only his pockets but also his shirt with them.

Vegeta, perplexed by John's actions, asked for an explanation.

John replied, "You'll understand soon enough. As a precaution, you should carry some animals too."

Vegeta, disgusted, refused, "I don't need that. Those disgusting creatures are not for me."

John, unconcerned, nodded. With his own precautions in place, he wasn't worried about Vegeta falling victim to Ginyu's 'Change' technique.

With their preparations complete, John and Vegeta resumed their mission to eradicate Frieza's soldiers.

Soon, they reached a site of intense battle, where Vegeta spotted the Ginyu Force. A cruel smile spread across his face, and he said, "I should've known. After Frieza and Cooler's deaths, they still dare to be so arrogant. It's the Ginyu Force!"

"John, I know these guys. They must've captured your friend. Let me teach them a lesson on your behalf," Vegeta said, not waiting for John's response as he flew into action.
