18 That Easy

Broly and I walked out of my room for dinner, seeing Raditz already sitting down at the dining table.

"Father out late training again?" I asked as I sat down at the table.

"He said he'll be back soon." Gine said as she grabs another seat from the storage closet and places it in the spot next to me. "There you go, Broly."

Broly climbs into the seat, which surprisingly doesn't seem to cause Raditz any visible irritation. I raise an eyebrow, but ultimately decide ignore it. If he blows up at dinner, it's mother he'll have to worry about, not me.

Gine goes and grabs juice out of the fridge before walking back over and placing it in front of Broly. "Here you go, Sweetie."

"Thank you..." Broly said softly before reaching for the juice and taking a sip.

It's still so bizarre to see the Legendary Super Saiyan being so gentle with a glass of juice. Especially since I grew up with the genocidal psychopathic version known as Z Broly. If it had been that Broly, I wouldn't even consider saving him.

I would've sent him straight into a white dwarf star myself. Along with Paragus if he tried to stop me.

"So how is your new team, Zyleth? Everyone getting along?" Gine asked.

"Prince is still a little prideful, but that pretty much goes without saying." I said as I took a bite out of a big slab of meat. "But everyone works together well. Can't really start getting into the teamwork stage until the Prince catches up to Broly's power level though."

Gine looked surprised. "Really? Is the Prince's power level low?"

"Should be breaking into seven hundred by next week." I replied.

I heard a cough and look over towards Raditz, who looked normal enough.

"Seven hundred? At two?" Gine asked with widened eyes. "What power level is Broly that seven hundred is too low?"

"Over a thousand."

Two things happened the moment that number left my lips. One, my mother had dropped the giant piece of meat she was holding. Two, Raditz had started choked on his food.

My mother quickly gave him a solid smack to his back, which caused the food that was stuck in his throat to shoot back out onto his plate.

"You okay?" I asked, a small bit worried about my little brother.

He nodded his head as he coughed, not able to speak any words at the moment.

"Over a thousand?!" Gine exclaimed.

Gine couldn't even begin to wrap her head around it. What happened to Saiyan children being born with normal power levels? It was rare for a Saiyan child to even be above a hundred. Now there were four that had been born right after another.

Raditz was in the five hundreds last she checked.

Prince Vegeta is nearing the seven hundreds.

Broly is over a thousand.

And she doesn't even know what Zyleth's power level is, but it was surely higher than Bardock's, who was nearing eleven thousand.

Sure, out of those four, Raditz was the only one that hadn't been born with that kind of power, but he had pushed himself hard to try and be acknowledged by his brother.

This new generation of Saiyan children are monsters. And if Zyleth permits, they were all going to be on the same team!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After that bomb had dropped, dinner went on without another incident. Bardock returned after we had all eaten, which had caused my mother to give him an earful.

Broly and I left soon after introducing him to my father. Curiously enough, Raditz had offered to come with us after hearing that I was going to walk Broly back home.

"You want to come with?" I asked him.

He nodded his head with a determined gaze.

I couldn't help but find it amusing. We're dropping him off at home, not dropping into the middle of a war.

"Fine, come along then." I said nonchalantly as I walked out the front door.

Broly immediately followed after me and Raditz just stood there with a befuddled expression at how easily I let him come along.

"Y'know if you keep standing there like that, they're going to leave you behind." Bardock told Raditz as he sat down to eat.

Hearing his words, Raditz quickly ran out of the house to catch up with Zyleth and Broly.

The walk to Broly's home wasn't all that eventful. I noticed that earlier tension that the two had when they first met was almost completely gone and replaced by an awkward silence. I don't know what happened between the time of their first meeting and dinner, but I'm not gonna complain about it.

I'd rather have awkward silence than headache inducing arguing.

As soon as we were within eyesight of Broly's house, he gave us his farewells before running along inside.

"He's strange." Raditz said.

Or he just didn't want to deal with the awkward situation anymore.

"Come on, let's go back home." I said as I started walking back.

"Wait." Raditz called out.

I turned to look at him and see him looking at me with that same determined expression he had on a few moments ago.

"Why did you never train me?" He asked.

I raise an eyebrow at the question, wondering where this came from. "You never asked."

He just looks at me for a few seconds before taking a few steps towards me.

"I'm asking now. Train me!" He exclaimed.

Looking at him closely, I see that he was shaking a little. Almost as if he's afraid of what my reaction would be to his request.

"Sure." I said simply before walking off towards our house. "Get some sleep. I'm gonna be waking you up first thing in the morning."

Raditz stood there frozen, unable to believe it was that simple.

"Wait!" He called out to his brother once more.

I turned and looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. "What?"

"...That easy?" He asked after a moment.

I smirk a bit at his confusion. Did the dumbass really think I would reject him?

"That easy."
