16 C15 Unexpected

"My name is Nathalia but I'll allow you to call me Yukihime, Ryusui-nii." Nathalia was pretty happy that her brother haven't forgotten about her.

Although they only met briefly all those years ago, she still treated him as her elder brother. Being the eldest brother in her past life made her want someone who can act as either her elder sister or brother.

"W-What about me? I'm a-also your elder brother."

Nathalia looked at Sai, her eldest brother. Then she smiled and greeted him with a warm smile on her face.

"Nice to meet you too, Sai-nii. It's our first time meeting now, I think." She said as she remembered that she didn't meet him when she was in Japan because they moved out the next day after she met Ryusui.

"Haha! Now that you two met, let's continue our match first." Ryusui said as he sat back down again.

Sai looked at him and smiled, "But wasn't that your fifth loss today and also your 925th loss since last time? You also lost to Scholar's Mate, seems like your skills deteriorated. Let me play with our sister for a bit."

"Hahaha! But I won for a few times! Alright, I'll let you two play, I also wanna see if our sister's intellect deteriorated."

Nathalia chuckled seeing her brothers like this. Her smile then turned nostalgic as she remembered her past life, her siblings were also like this back then. She then took a deep breath and decided to put those things behind and live her life. Although she still cherishes the past, she had a new family now.

"Alright, let's play now Sai-nii. I want the black pieces."

Inside a conference room in the white house.

The president gathered some of the senior officials from relevant departments including the CIA and the Ministry of Defense. He slammed his hands on his desk and asked solemnly.

"How did this happen? How could someone bypass our network without anyone noticing and leaving no traces? This is an insult to us!"

A voice was heard in the conference room.

"Can I give my opinion?"

The president looked at the person and nodded. "Of course."

Everyone in the conference room including the CIA Director and the one from the Ministry of Defense looked at the person from the Cyber Security Department.

"Although incredibly hard, this type of undetectable subtle breach is more than possible. One thing similar to this type of undetectable breach is the Stauxnet virus we are currently developing."

The president looked at him and asked solemnly.

"Are you saying someone betrayed us and completed it on their own. Then they proceeded to hack almost all electronics in the world? Even Stauxnet can't do that even if we completed making it."

After the president said that, somebody stood up and added.

"That's right. And even if somebody did improved and completed it, hacking every electronics in the world requires either a few super computers or hundreds of elite hackers. That's impossible to pull off except for major powers."

The person from the Cyber Security Department nodded and said.

"That's right. But we can't rule out an alliance between our enemies just like how we are cooperatively making Stauxnet. It is possible that China, Russia and other powers in the east allied to make a computer virus or something similar to our Stauxnet."

Hearing his words, although all of them already had a vague feeling that this would be the case, hearing it made their expressions darken.

The president became silent as he deeply thought of something. He then asked the person from the Cyber Security Department.

"How's the progress with Neo Genesis?"

"Check."

Sai looked at the board in disbelief before a smile appeared on his face.

"You're just like what Ryusui said, Yukihime."

"Well, it was a close match. I'm not really good at chess as you saw, I blundered too many times." Nathalia smiled and said.

Ryusui bursted in laughter and he said, "You say that but it won't change that you won the match, Yukihime."

Nathalia just kept a faint smile on her face, "Alright. Also, please call me Nathalia. My name was changed years ago, Sai-nii, Ryusui-nii."

"Alright I'll call you Nathalia if that's what you want." Sai said as he looked at his sister fondly.

Ryusui then remembered something and asked her, "By the way, Nathalia. Can you come with us back to Japan?"

Nathalia was stumped by this and she immediately shook her hands in refusal, "I am not planning on going back to Japan this soon. Maybe next year."

Meanwhile, Sai glared at Ryusui as he already knew why he wanted Nathalia to come back with them to Japan. Ryusui noticed Sai's glare but he just smirked and ignored him.

For the rest of the day, they talked about what happened over the years and also about some trivial things. Nathalia was happy to tell her brothers about her normal days in the past years, of course she left out some things better left unsaid.

They also ate lunch together for the first time. Nathalia now knew how delicious a true delicacy is. Although her mom was extremely good at cooking, even she admitted that her skills paled in comparison to Francois.

For the rest of the day, they did many things like playing video games, chess and others.

But the day ended and it was already evening. Ryusui and Sai said their goodbye to her before leaving. Ryusui also tried to convince her to come home with them but Nathalia refused again and said she'll go there next year.

"Haiss... I can't go to Japan right now... I still have something to do here."

Nathalia sighed as she rested on her bed, she then looked at the picture frame on the wall. It was a picture of two young girls, it was her and her lost best friend.

"I'll save you, Julienne... just wait."

Back then when she haven't met Alec and Alexa, when they just arrived here in Manila, she had a friend here. They were kidnapped by criminals in the past. She escaped... even though it was at the price of leaving her best friend at the hand of those beasts.

"But... what about you Julienne! I can't leave you here!"

"I'll find another way out, don't worry we'll both escape from here!" Julienne gave Nathalia a reassuring smile.

She escaped through the sewers back then and she haven't seen Julienne since then. Due to her experience, she practiced martial arts rigorously for her to defend herself and became the digital god she is right now because she looked for Julienne through any means necessary these past years.

She was focused on finding her in the Philippines these past years and she only found her last place which was an illegal gambling den. She called the police back then and she wasn't there when they raided that place.

Though she now know where her friend is currently.

"I didn't expect to find her in America of all places... I haven't thought of you being a CIA agent all of a sudden Julienne. I guess that's why I haven't seen you these past years." Nathalia smiled as she thought about what she saw yesterday.

There were two reasons why she did that massive hacking event yesterday. Firstly, to display her prowess to the world. And lastly, to find her friend.

During her search yesterday, she also scoured through the CIA classified files and she saw sooooo much things there. But what she focused on was one particular project she saw, Project MK Ultra. She knows what this thing is and she knew that this was supposed to have been terminated.

Nathalia looked at her window up to the starry sky and solemnly swore to herself, "I'll save you from there, Julienne. Even if it's by destroying that country, I'll do it."

The author sighed as he rested on his bed lazily. He finished reading the chapter 1380 of Supremacy Games. It was shocking to him that Felix fucking died again... bruh. Although he knows it's not the end, it made him feel empty and not continue reading for a while to stack chapters.

Author-kun opened his phone and opened his messenger. He then chatted his friend, A-kun.

[ Hey bro... Is Sab online? I'm losing inspirations! Frick I feel empty again. ]

[ Wait... She is online. I'll tell her. ]

After a few minutes of waiting, Author-kun received a message from Sab-san.

[ Wassup? A-kun said you looking for me. ]

[ What is it? ]

[ I'm losing inspiration to write, Sab-san! Maybe I'll drop this fic too if my inspiration don't come back soon . _ .) ]

[ Ehh? Why are you dropping it? ]

[ Well... I always drop or go on hiatus if I have no more inspiration you see. I already went hiatus on my two fanfics now. ]

[ Is that so? Well, I can't really give you any unique advice. Why did you even decide to write? ]

[ Well... After reading 1000+ novels, with most of them being incomplete, I was frustrated so I decided to just write and continue where they left off. I wrote it for myself at the start then... I started enjoying seeing when someone likes what I wrote so yeah. ]
