20 Chapter 20

Chapter 20 — Duel And Sword Intent.

Several days had passed, Ning Chen trained his senses and studied sword techniques without slacking.

He had grown stronger over-all slightly, but he was still not able to completely master the Life Breathing Technique.

As a result, he wasn't able to create the Dawn Breathing Sword Art which he envisioned.

He also felt he was lacking combat experience at fighting spirit masters like him.

A spirit beast and a human were after all very different from each other.

In order to increase his combat experience in fighting against spirit master, Ning Chen thought about the people from the Sword Dojo.

He wanted to issue a challenge towards them to broaden his combat experience.

It might also help him in creating his self-created techniques faster.

Ning Chen's senior brothers and sisters were not allowed to enter he Sword Dojo for the past few days, but today was their return.

He traversed through the mountain and after reaching the peak of it, he was now able to hear several thunderous battle cries.

Ning Chen clenched his fist as his face reddened. He felt himself getting excited after hearing those passionate scream.

He then went inside the Sword Dojo and was quickly able to see a familiar face which had grown mature.

It was Xie Chun, the guy he sparred in the past.

Xie Chun heard the door opening and curiously looked toward it. He was shocked to see it was Ning Chen.

"Junior brother, why did came here?" Xie Chun lightly smiled as he asked.

Ning Chen faintly smiled back and quickly replied, "I'm here to learn and broaden my combat experience."

Xie Chun nodded with his eyes shining brightly.

"Do you want to have short spar or duel with me?" Xie Chun asked while revealing his cultivation base.

He was currently at rank 33.

Ning Chen shook his head. He thought he could now easily beat Xie Chun with his current strength.

And this wasn't him being too arrogant.

It was merely the fact.

"Oh, I guess I will just tell the information of the other members to you," Xie Chun said while feeling quite disappointed.

But he wasn't offended at all and knew that with Ning Chen's talent, defeating the current him wouldn't be too hard.

Xie Chun began to slowly explain the information of the other nine members of the dojo.

Ning Chen listened carefully to Xie Chun's explanation and was able to know many things.

He decided to have a duel against the third strongest member of the Sword Dojo.

The third strongest member was a beautiful female called Cheng Hei. She was currently rank 45 with a tool spirit called Tempest Rapier.

She was just slightly older than Xie Chun and also possessed an amazing wind sword intent, making her stronger than average spirit master of the same rank who didn't possessed a law intent.

The reason Ning Chen chose to have duel with her was because of his interest on experiencing the true power of law intent.

Xie Chun silently approached Cheng Hei and whispered about Ning Chen wanting to have a duel against her.

Cheng Hei surprisingly didn't refused Ning Chen's challenge. She was very curious about the mysterious 11th member who didn't train in the dojo and instead directly learn under Yu Qian.

She entered the duel arena and quickly spotted a young boy Infront of her.

The first thing that crossed her mind was about the boy being very handsome and had a refined aura surrounding him.

A few others also came to watch the duel and were also curious about Ning Chen.

Ning Chen glanced at Cheng Hei and thought she was very beautiful and had an alluring charm.

She possessed a voluptuous body with a well-developed chest and a short black hair reaching her chin.

But Yu Liena's appearance suddenly crossed his mind.

He thought that she was more captivating than Cheng Hei.

Achoo!

Cheng Hei sneezed quietly, feeling slightly irritated.

She didn't know why.

"Junior brother, in this duel I won't use my fourth spirit ring. I hope we can have a nice duel and broaden each other's knowledge," Cheng Hei smiled widely, causing a faint dimples to appear.

"Thank you very much, senior sister," Ning Chen thanked very sincerely.

Xie Chun who was the the referee for this match, looked at the two of them for a moment.

"Begin!" He signalled loudly.

Upon hearing his signal, Ning Chen quickly called Kel'al and it appeared on his hand while still sheathed.

Two spirit rings rose from his feet, causing a strong pressure to spread everywhere.

Xie Chun was shocked seeing Ning Chen's spirit ring. He wasn't the only one, the other spectators were also shocked.

It was because Ning Chen's spirit ring configuration were yellow and purple.

This was something they thought were impossible to achieve, but their mind was visibly shaken right now.

Cheng Hei was stunned, but quickly composed herself.

She also called her spirit, and a long azure rapier appeared on his hand.

Four spirit rings rose from her feet and it was yellow, yellow, purple, and purple.

Ning Chen felt a powerful pressure descending toward him, but he resisted it with his body.

"Wind Blade!" Cheng Hei activated her first spirit ring ability, causing ten wind blades to form around her.

She pointed her rapier at Ning Chen and said loudly, "Charge!"

The wind blades flew toward Ning Chen at a very fast speed.

<Enhancement: Sword Draw>

Ning Chen's eyes released a brilliant light as he quickly unsheathed his sword. He slashed diagonally at all the incoming wind blades.

Whooshhh!

The wind blades were all cleanly split into two and shattered before his eyes.

"Flowing Wind Thrust!" Cheng Hei dashed Infront of Ning Chen and thrusted her rapier forward.

Ning Chen then saw her rapier changing into several lights piercing toward his whole body.

<Second Sword Color: Green Dragon Agility>

His eyes changed into green color as his agility was enhanced greatly.

The piercing lights also grew slightly weaker as some of it's wind energy were devoured by his sword.

Ning Chen's upper body leaned back, he raised his sword and started to parry every single thrust of Cheng Hei's attack.

Cheng Hei stepped back after he managed to parry all of her attack and narrowed her eyes.

She felt it was quite troublesome to defeat Ning Chen.

<First Sword Color: Red Dragon Power>

Ning Chen's body suddenly appeared to become like a demonic giant in the others eyes.

Thud!

His foot stepped forward heavily and a clear slamming sound echoed through the air.

He then raised his sword, chopping it downward harshly while gathering all his weight into It.

Cheng Hei changed into a defensive stance and blocked Ning Chen's sword with her rapier.

Boom!!

Her eyes widened in amazement as her hair fluttered wildly. She could feel the intensity of his attack with her trembling arms.

It was very powerful and heavy.

Cheng Hei deflected his sword before distancing herself away from Ning Chen with a light and flexible footwork.

She silently observed Ning Chen and then decided to use more of her strength.

Swish...

Azure light suddenly started to leak out from her black eyes and her rapier was also releasing the same azure light.

A powerful suppression spread out from her, making Ning Chen feel suffocated.

His eyes widened as shock and excitement appeared on his face.

This was without a doubt the prowess of sword intent.

"Sword Intent: Wind Blade!" Cheng Hei said as she charged toward Ning Chen, leaving azure trace.

Her speed was vastly stronger compared to before.

Ning Chen saw twenty wind blades appearing around him and then charging toward him.

They appeared to be faster and sharper.

He quickly activated Green Dragon Agility again and started to avoid the wind blades with footwork and destroying some of it with his sword.

Ning Chen then felt a chill spreading though his spine and he instinctively spread his senses to it's limits.

An obscure presence unknowingly appeared behind him.

"Sword Intent: Flowing Thrust!" Cheng Hei's rapier released an extremely bright azure light.

Her rapier thrusted forward and transformed into hundreds of piercing green strokes that were threatening to cut Ning Chen into pieces.

Ning Chen saw this ability was also sharper and faster than before after combining it with her sword intent.

Ning Chen took a deep breath as his green eyes sharpened. He pushed Green Dragon Agility to it's limits, causing wind to surround his sword.

He parried all of her thrust again while also using his footwork to it's best.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Clang!

Clang!

The sound of their weapon consecutively hitting each other rang out fiercely.

The people watching were watching with awe since both of their speed was too fast.

Ning Chen distanced himself away from Cheng Hei and then saw his clothes was cut in various places.

Cheng Hei was also abit messy, but she was slightly better compared to Ning Chen.

She was once again stunned to see that Ning Chen was still able to compete with her.

This ignited her fighting spirit furiously and she activated her third spirit ring to change the situation.

"Sword Intent: Sword Wind Wave!" Cheng Hei chanted solemnly.

A powerful waves composed of exploding winds suddenly spread toward Ning Chen.

Ning Chen was startled to see a powerful wave that were sharp as a sword to quickly overwhelmed him.

His clothes were torn to shreds, revealing his perfectly sculpted upper body.

Ning Chen didn't mind that and just quickly placed his sword Infront of him to block the sword wave.

Baam!

His sword clashed against the sword wave that continuesly attacked him, causing him to be slowly pushed back.

His feet grasp tightly on the floor as his muscles swelled to block the sword wave with all of his physical strength.

"Break!" Ning Chen groaned heavily as his sword slashed at the sword waves, shattering it into pieces.

He panted slightly with sweats dripping down his forehead.

Cheng Hei was extremely shocked to see Ning Chen being able to block one of her most powerful attack.

The others were also starting to look at Ning Chen in a different light.

He wasn't merely just a heavenly genius, but a monster!

Ning Chen glanced at Cheng Hei and decided to use all of his strength to end this match with one single strike.

<Enhancement: Sword Draw>

He placed his sword back in the scabbard and took a drawing stance.

<First Sword Color: Red Dragon Power>

Ning Chen's muscles became extremely tense as an overflowing strength flooded his veins.

"Rising Sun," Ning Chen muttered cooly and quickly unsheathed his sword, striking fiercely at Cheng Hei.

His crimson sword turned into a brilliant crimson light as it moved extremely fast, resembling a false sun.

Cheng Hei felt her whole senses screaming in danger.

She felt the urgency to use all of her strength to contest with his attack.

With her rapier pointing forward menacingly, violent azure light erupted wildly from within her body.

"Serpent Of Tempest!' A purple spirit ring appeared behind her back.

All of the azure light and wind concentrated toward her rapier, transforming into a fierce- looking serpent with a long body

Ning Chen growled deeply, his sword slashing at Cheng Hei's chest.

Cheng Hei didn't backed down and also thrusted her rapier toward his chest.

BOOM!

Swoosh!

The weapons clashed with each other, causing a thunderous explosion to rang out along with the terrifying chaotic wind.

Ning Chen's body trembled fiercely as he felt a strong vibration spreading inside his body.

A small amount of blood trickled down from the sides of his mouth as a resignation look appeared on his face.

"I admit my lose," Ning Chen declared before respectfully bowing toward Cheng Hei.

Continuing the duel further would just harm him.

He also knew that Cheng Hei currently surpassed him in many areas like combat experience, combat technique, and spirit ring abilities.

She also has a sword intent which strengthened all of those.

Cheng Hei's last attack didn't just target him from the outside, but also attacked his internal organs.

Fortunately, this was merely a duel and she didn't severely injured him.

Cheng Hei recalled her rapier and lightly shook her head.

"No, it's my lose since I used my fourth spirit ring ability," She said, feeling ashamed.

"No, no. Senior sister, it's your win. I don't mind about that since I learned many things," Ning Chen smiled gratefully at her.

Cheng Hei was touched hearing that and suddenly took Ning Chen into her embrace.

"Junior brother is very humble and kind!" She said while giggling lightly.

"..." Ning Chen couldn't escape from her hug.

He couldn't also speak and breath as two gigantic melons pressed against his face.

A wonderful and sweet fragrance also entered his nose.

Was this the so-called women's scent?

Ning Chen didn't know since he have never hugged another women except for his sister and mother, but it was all in the past.

It was a quite satisfying experiences, but also traumatizing for him.

Those pair of big melons were just too big, almost choking him to death.

....

I was thinking of doing a time skip, but decided to do it later. I wanted to write a fight scene and do you like it?

This character will also appear on the future.
