Looking at the agitated crowd, Link knew that the danger of the aberrating soldiers was just an excuse—an excuse for the people to vent all kinds of negative feelings.
The aberrated could be suppressed and killed, but the human heart was hard to predict. It wasn't that there was no opposition to this approach, but these voices of reason were too sporadic and were soon drowned out by the raging debate.
Under such a situation, the majority was always blinded. The only way for individuals to feel more secure in the group was to go with the flow. Thus, as the conflict intensified, many soldiers' faces appeared extremely awkward.
Some of them were pale, and their lips trembled. Some clenched their teeth, trying to suppress the anger within their chests.
Most were confused and astounded, deeply disappointed. They simply couldn't understand why they would receive such treatment when they had been fighting the army of evil beings with their lives.
