Don't Let Them Grow (Extinct Their Growth) - Blighted

The world is almost at it's edge.

It has been turned into a silent and destroyed waste land, with tall, but fallen buildings, housing reaped and ever green mose. With grey and ashy sky's. The whole area was filled with green gas with unknown effects. But within all this untidy mess, a society was living. A tall rectangular object reaches up to the heaven's is in the middle of this chaos. White glowing lines striping the skyscraper and at the bottom, holding a bright red circle in the middle.

Through the red sphere, men peek through it's transparent properties from inside. They walk about their business as normal. Through all the heavy and tough steel block the inside from the outside world, lives a society. With people from different races and cultures. They go about their day as normal people.

With all the noise made by the combined sounds of the people inside, a loud bang is heard, coming from outside the closed gate of the skyscraper. Everyone goes quiet after hearing the bang. After a few seconds another bang is heard. The people's bodies are frozen and hearts begin beat fast. Men and women, climb down stairs from above the level of the society, holding these people.

The men and women are heavily armored in black, steel suits, holding various weapons, swords, guns, etc. Another loud bang is heard, which is louder than the rest, which damage the strong metal gate. The soldiers stand guard at the entrance, while others instruct the residences to safety. With another loud bang the metal gate comes crashing down, rising a dust cloud, blinding the soldiers. A large spiked vine from the dust swings at the soldiers with incredible speed.

All the surrounding soldiers; within range of the attack; were thrown away, leaving bloody holes in their bodies and damaged property. The dust settles, revealing a horrifying figure. Infront of them stood a giant humanoid, with plant like skin and spiked vines for limbs. Mose structured it's body, making it's body look like a large bush. It's head was severed, as none stood on its neck.

The remaining soldiers charge at the abomination, with their weapons ready. The monster with it's spiked vines; easily mowed down the soldiers. Slicing of the upper body of them as if they were grass. With the many bodies of soldiers corpses on the floor, a pool of blood was formed. The remaining soldiers stand in terror within the presence of this monster.

When it seemed as if all hope for this society was lost, another army climbed down the stairs leading down. They were holding long ranged weapons, such as guns, bows and arrows, etc. The army aimed their range weapon at the giant monster infront of them. Without taking a breath they fired their weapons at the monster.

All, but a few attacks hit the monster. The wounds leaved by the attacks made the monster ooze out a dark, green, slimy liquid out of it's mossy body. The monster turned it's attention to it's attacker. But the army had already reloaded and fired another at the monster; once more.

The giant monster charged at the army, shaking the metal floor beneath it. The projectiles hit the monster once again. This time it fell to the floor with haste.

The people of the sanctuary cheered at the defeat of the monster. Hiding the sadness of the dead.

This is common lives of these people. The people who survived this apocalyptic world. Many high standing people at the time did their best to help. The best they could do was create societies for them, while others work.

The work that was stated to bring back the past. Bring back what man had destroyed. Because of curiosity, the world has been demolished.

But with farther research, scientist plan to bring back things to how they use to be back then. Don't let them grow, but known commonly as Project: Extinct Their Growth.
