95 Too late

"Shouldn't we talk about this before you dismiss me like this?" Celine said. Her face looked as though she was begging.

However, before she could continue with her words Brian interjected.

"There is nothing to dismiss, everything has ended since a long time ago. It's all in the past and the time for regrets has long passed. If you really wanted to mend our relationship… Then why only now? Brian said with a condescending tone. His eyes looked at Celine it looked fierce but behind it, there is also a sign of tiredness.

"You had the chance, Celine, but now it's too late. So just leave me alone." Brian walked away from Celine and started to head out of the room.

Celine bit her lip while hearing Brian's words but she still used every bit of courage in her heart to say, "It seems now is not a good time. I'll come back some other time."

She too walked away in between their awkward atmosphere, you could hear the sound of someone sighing. It was unknown who made the sigh, but it resounded in the heart of the people who were listening.

Before heading out, Celine finally noticed Mia who was at the reception table. She gave a small nod before removing her gaze from Mia and heading out.

On the other hand, Dr. Canes did not go out from the inner room all day. Mia was not able to figure out much on the relationship between the two people, even their interaction seemed normal. There was no shouting or begging unlike before, therefore, Mia thought that they might have started fixing their relationship. Lost in thought, she continued with her work for the day until her co-worker came and relieved her from her station.

On the other side of things.

William was walking with his head up high as he visited a certain hospital. He was able to arrange a meeting with the Board of Directors, bypassing the Fords and trying to strike a deal with the hospital itself. Although he was uncertain to the degree of authority the Ford's have with the hospital, he still wanted to try and find a way to get the information necessary for his mother. At worst, he was willing to move his mother in this hospital to be taken care off. Behind him was an entourage of people, although he was confident with his skills, there are still legal matters that he did not want to take lightly. He wanted every detail to be full-proofed in case the Ford's decided to play dirty.

They were welcomed in a meeting room as half of the chairs were filled with people which he assumed are the Board of Directors of the hospital. The other side o the table was left open, it was their designated seat for the discussion. The Directors all stood up and greeted William warmly, William did the same and showed his respect. He shook the hands of each and every Director in place as his face was plastered with a warm smile. William was still considered to be one from a younger generation, therefore, he should be respectful. On the other hand, the directors that were showing him respect showed how much prestige this young man has for them to treat him with that level of respect.

"Thank you for giving me your time. I know that everyone here is busy with their lives, therefore, I would like to make this discussion brief." William gazed at all of the men inside the room. Each and every one of them were respected people of their fields, therefore, he wanted to leave a good impression in case his interests will be tied in this hospital. In the end, he was hoping for the best.

William brought with him an old-time confidante, a friend, and lawyer who he met in college. Ever since then, they were the ones who are taking care of all the legal matters for their company. His work has been full-proof and his contracts did not have any holes which the other party might try to wiggle and use. This was why he liked this man, he might be young but his attention to details was that of a seasoned veteran. Along with them were two more lawyers from their firm. It was something that his friend would do with big cases and making deals with many people at the same time. "It was for impact," said his friend. Sometimes the number of people can take into effect the deal that they had to make.

"There is no need to rush, is there. Why don't you sit down first and have some coffee or tea." One of the men said while signaling at a secretary from the back. His face was smiling but his eyes seemed not.
