Chapter 32

While Samuels thoughts strolled away, A1 finally finished calling the strongest warriors and A3 successfully picked up the Artifacts and Space Backpacks.

Samuel thought for a minute before handing one Pseudo Artifact to Richard, A4 and A1. While the main Artifact was given to A1 who would be leading the exploration.

And there were a total of 10 Space Backpacks that were collected over this time, and they were handed out to the Lower Rank Warriors.

Now they were ready to explore. Much like the last group travel, all warriors must stand within the circle and then each inject their Spiritual Energy into the portal.

Originally it was enough for A1 to power the portal but this one required a lot more power so everyone had to pitch in.

After about five minutes of pouring energy in, a brief tornado of energy appeared around the Dogs of War and they were all pulled to a new space within the Eternal battlefield.

It looked like the interior of an Ancient Tomb. A1 began to lead the Dogs of War down a large hallway. Erected on either side were dozens of large stone statues depicting brave warriors.

Occasionally you could see a skeleton or two scattered between the stone statues. But it wasn't a cliche pot of the Stone Creatures coming alive.

You could clearly see trails of blood leading out from the interior of the Tomb. Clearly these people had attempted to journey into the tomb only to be injured by whatever is inside.

But A1 naturally wouldn't let go of the resources from the Skeletons, he looted over 4 skeletons by the time they got to the end of the Stone Statues.

Over 15 Spiritual Crystals were found and a large Battleaxe a Pseudo Artifact. Surprisingly there was even a robe made out of the Skin of a High Rank 1 beast.

Naturally that was also given to A1 to increase his survivability.

The group continued on and finally reached a deeper area. They came across a giant Wooden door with two large gargoyles perched on either side of the entrance.

But surprisingly the Gargoyles are actual creatures. Gargoyles are commonly used to protect ruins. As long as they stay still their body will enter a frozen state and nothing will change.

This means they won't die but they also won't improve and even their mind won't function.

But this makes them the ideal to guard a Tomb for an unknown amount of time.

The Gargoyles eyes snapped open showing two small red slits in their pupils. With a freaky screech they leaped out and dived towards A1. Both had the strength of Middle Rank 1 but their speed was incredibly fast.

Almost immediately one appeared in front of A1 and swung its sharp claws towards his face.

A1 hurriedly pulled up a silver shortsword and swung it in front of his eyes as sparks burst out on the impact. A1 used his strength to spin and sliced heavily towards the gargoyle's head.

His sword sliced heavily and cut heavily through the wings that were used as a shield.

So A1 got stuck in a hit for hit battle against one of the Gargoyles. But quickly ten Low Rank 1 Warriors charged behind the Gargoyle and hurriedly cut at him.

In a 11V1 situation the Gargoyle stood little chance as he was fighting a downhill battle.

On the other hand however the Gargoyle was doing even worse, it was fighting 2 Middle Rank Warriors and 10 Low Ranks. Naturally it didn't stand a chance.

The battles ended after twenty minutes, A1 finally pierced one of the Gargoyles heads with his sword killing it instantly. The other was worn down slowly under the attacks from A4 and RIchard.

Unfortunately the only harvest of the battle was five more Spiritual Stones from the body of the Gargoyle.

But everyone knew that the real treasure was inside the giant wooden doors.

A1 stepped forward and pushed open the creaky doors.

Samuel immediately saw what was inside. Three large tombs were sat only a couple of metres apart.

However, more noticeable was a small bookshelf with a noticeable greying bag.

''A3 you go pick up the books on the bookshelf. A4 Richard come with me and open these tombs.''

A1 took control and walked slowly towards the first of the three tombs.

Actually Samuel was quite confused, considering the fact that there are 3 tombs and another door behind them. Clearly these can't be the creators tomb.

But this isn't actually that uncommon. Maybe they are the followers' tombs or relatives' tombs who were later buried.

A1 finally reached the first of the three tombs. A Grey marble tomb with various figures of creatures carved on it.

''Huuup Open!'' A1 had A4 help him push off the heavy lid revealing a shrivelled up corpse.

The crooked back and the visibly long beard displays the man's old age. But the shocking wound on his stomach suggests the true death of the man.

A large circle straight through his gut looking as if it had been pierced through without restrictions.

A1 immediately began to search the body. It might sound disrespectful but it's the norm on the Eternal Battlefield. Everything is for benefits.

And surprisingly he actually found something. A small golden pendant exuding a strong spiritual energy, a small pouch filled with Spiritual Crystals and a little note.

A1 suspected that the Golden Pendant is an Artifact although the actual is still unknown.

Whereas the Spiritual Crystals are the best immediate profit. There were over 15 more spiritual crystals in there alone!

Following this the remaining two Tombs had two more bodies within them. However they surprisingly had wounds in the exact location as the first with a large hole in their chests.

The second tomb had 20 more Spiritual Crystals, while the last one had a Warrior Skill Book!

And at the same time A3 brought back the resources on the bookshelf. There were 5-6 books filled with information and there was actually another Warrior Skill!
