After calling everyone over, Luo Xian collapsed onto the sofa and nonchalantly said, "You're done for," then calmly began sipping his tea, looking completely unconcerned.
The Alley Rat and his buddies exchanged puzzled glances.
"Hahahaha…"
The Alley Rat clutched his stomach, doubled over, laughing hysterically.
"You little punk, are you out of your mind? You think calling for help is going to save you? Hahaha… Let me tell you, the leaders of every mercenary, adventurer, and defense force in South City are my sworn brothers!" The Alley Rat sneered. "Calling for help… You think that'll work?"
To him, it was laughable—a small-time clinic owner with no power or connections, how could he possibly know anyone of importance?
Maybe he'd call a green student from Cold Spring Harbor Martial Arts Academy?
"Cherish your last moments of arrogance," Luo Xian said with a look of pity. "Based on her speed, your enemy will arrive in five seconds…"
"Hahaha, you… you're going to kill me with laughter…"
Before the Alley Rat could finish, a barely noticeable sonic boom sounded outside the door, which made Luo Xian exhale in relief.
Though he appeared calm, in reality…
"Master, are you alright?"
The door opened, and a stunning figure appeared.
Her face was full of concern, her tone brimming with urgency.
The Alley Rat and his buddies were captivated by the melodious voice, turning in unison, and were collectively dumbfounded.

"Oh my…" The Alley Rat patted his cheeks, confirming he wasn't dreaming, and got excited. "I've never seen such a beautiful woman in my life!"

With deep violet eyes, a cold and stunning face, a tall and shapely figure, and an extraordinary aura…
Compared to her, the so-called courtesan of Cold Spring Harbor's red-light district was like a farting wild boar in the woods!
Ignoring the Alley Rat and his men, Ling Feier rushed to Luo Xian's side, frantically checking him over.
Luo Xian was speechless, knowing from where she was touching that this wasn't a check for injuries but an excuse to grope him!
"Stop it, I'm fine. They just threatened me. Oh, and they bullied a child too."
Luo Xian nudged his chin toward the little girl on the ground.
She suddenly looked up, her eyes meeting Ling Feier's, and she was as shocked as if she'd been charged by a farting wild boar.
"You… you're…" The little girl's lips trembled more than when she was threatened with death, and she screamed, "Ling…"
But she stopped immediately upon seeing Luo Xian's signal—he put his finger to his lips, making a hush gesture.
She was momentarily confused, but seeing the expressions on the Alley Rat and his men, she quickly understood.
They didn't recognize Ling Feier.
Despite being known for his connections and information, the Alley Rat's knowledge was limited to South City.
He might have heard of Ling Feier in the papers, but he didn't know her appearance.
After all, the kingdom's Valkyrie was far removed from the Alley Rat's life. They would likely never cross paths under normal circumstances.
The little girl got excited.
These clowns didn't recognize Lady Ling Feier!

Understanding the situation, Ling Feier looked at the Alley Rat with disgust, frowning, "Why are you troubling my master?"
"Oh, your master…" The Alley Rat sneered, "Who would've thought a loser running a black clinic in the slums could get such a beautiful maid…"
Luo Xian remained silent, smiling.
"Gentlemen," Ling Feier said seriously, "I don't care what your reasons are. Opposing my master means opposing me, and I won't stand by."
The group laughed uproariously.
"Hahaha… This little girl is protective…"
"Miss, do you know the consequences of opposing the Alley Rat in South City? Who gave you the courage?"

Seeing his men starting to flirt, the Alley Rat quickly stopped them.
Though he spoke harshly, he was also mesmerized by Ling Feier.
"Miss, your master offended the wrong people. We're just doing our job." The Alley Rat smirked.
"I can see your loyalty to your master, but… people must pay for their mistakes."

Before he could finish, Luo Xian and the little girl simultaneously spoke, stealing his line.
"If you spend a night with me, I'll spare your master!!"
Luo Xian and the little girl exchanged disdainful looks and, in unison, continued, "Ew, how vulgar…"
The Alley Rat's eye twitched, but before he could react, Ling Feier coldly said, "Since you're pushing so hard, it seems we'll have to use force."
"It's inconvenient to fight here; let's go outside."
With that, Ling Feier headed out.
The thugs were stunned, not stopping her.
The Alley Rat decided to follow, leading his men into the alley, still blabbering.
"Miss, don't struggle pointlessly. I'm a high-level Tier 4 mage. I wouldn't want to hurt such delicate skin…"
"Listen to me, you're too beautiful to be troubled like this. Why make things hard for yourself?"
"I have a better idea. I, the Alley Rat, might not be good-looking, but I'm a notable figure in South City. Much better than your pathetic master who needs his maid to fight for him. Why not come with me?"
