Bloodline Upgrade and Evolution

After I heard this notification I felt the mana flow acting like a wave flowing from my mana core and pushing through my skin. My skin began to flow with a black sludge that smelled like rotten sewage. My parents saw it and made sure to use magic to destroy the black sludge as it came out.

If the system was warning me about the pain then I knew it would be bad. Bracing myself as best as I could against the floor I was on I prepared to suffer.

A couple minutes later the original wave of mana stopped as the black sludge stopped flowing out of my skin. Then it began again. An even stronger wave of mana began to flow out. As it reached my bones they began to crack as black sludge flowed out. Then it would repair itself as another section cracked and repaired. All the while the mana wave pushed the black sludge out towards my skin. When the mana hit my organs they were squeezed and cut and then quickly healed while releasing more black sludge.

After awhile of writhing in pain and even more screaming the mana reached my wings. It felt as if every single feather was plucked out one by one. Then it felt as if they were being stretched and pulled. Finally it felt like they were being set on fire. All of this happened at the same time. I could feel the bones and muscles connecting the wings growing stronger as the wings grew larger and stronger. The wings were much larger than my body. They were each about 5 feet long fully extended.

The wave of mana kept flowing out from my mana core reaching every part of my body pushing out as much of the black sludge as it could. When it reached my horns it looked like veins of blood were being drilled through them as they grew stronger and longer. The blood veins flowed all the way through the horns as it gathered at the tip and began to coat the tip in blood that shaped and hardened into a red gem like object.

The mana that reached my 3rd eye caused it to open and bleed as many magic runes covered the eye. The runes didn't seem to do much but I am sure it will have some special effect in the future.

Hours and hours of pain pass by as it felt like eternity until finally the system activated again.

<Searching for solution>

I saw the system activate as I felt my body began to crack apart and bleed constantly. My parents rushed over and began to heal any wounds I gained.

[Mihael] My body can't handle all of the sudden changes. That is why its breaking and cracking apart. The upgrade isn't complete though so I assume the 3rd part will fix it.

[Raziel] We will keep healing you until it happens then. Just stay strong and don't pass out.

[Usiel] You aren't allowed to die. Not after I just got you back.

[Mihael] Don't worry I am not going anywhere. And I can handle this pain. 

I was trying to comfort my parents and let them know I am gonna be okay. After about 5 minutes of being healed by my parents the system activated again.

After that notification my wings fanned out and then wrapped around me. Quickly I told my parents that I will see them when I get out. My parents looked worried and fearful but decided to trust me. My wings fully wrapped around me as they began to turn into a crystal like substance. Then I felt my vision going black as I heard the system once more.

Well fuck. Guess I am stuck here for 12 years. I hope mom and dad are okay. This was my last thought before I lost my consciousness.

The crystal that was my body at this time began to shrink down to the size of an apple. There was a small timer on the front of the black and white crystal.

[Usiel] 12 years?!?! I have to wait that long to see my son again

Usiel began to cry as Raziel hugged her tightly.

[Raziel] Its okay dear. We waited 20 years already to have him. What is 12 more. Stay strong dear.

[Usiel] You are right my love. But it still breaks my heart. At least we can make sure that he will be safe. And even though we aren't at our strongest it will be enough to keep him safe until he comes out.

[Raziel] Yes. We just have to make sure to spend time with him when he comes out of there. Now come on lets get some rest.

[Usiel] Alright but first lets go see if those damn cultists left anything behind when they were absorbed.

They both checked the elder cultists rooms one by one taking any space storage items and anything that seemed valuable. Afterwards they went to a room and laid down in bed together making sure to hold the crystal between them. 

[Raziel] I hope he can feel that we love him even though we can't hold him.

[Usiel] I am sure he knows. I just hope he isn't in pain like before.
