Clearing the basement.

A new comrade had joined us, An ancient god from Earth's Legacy, Hercules.

Also one of the strongest set of warriors that no one can beat in a fight for pure strength.

It was pure coincidence that the relic I picked up back then, had worked like a miracle for me to conquer his will.

With my previous team members, a new addition was actually perfect, as he already has a long range support mage, 2 Assassin's, and a fighter class, but no one with statistics capable to be a tank, now their team is complete, I do not fight unless it's absolutely necessary for the kids to learn.

While I take 30% of the revenue they earn, such as items, experience and gold, it is far more difficult to keep them in formation, I'm just a guide for their future team work, they cannot be entirely dependant on me.

The kids from earth, include Usagi from Japan, Yuna from South Korea, and Yin from China, Due to the diverse language barrier in the original world known as Earth, it was hard for them to talk, but as they were summoned as potential players for this 'System', the language barrier was almost as if it hadn't existed from the start, everyone suddenly found out they could speak any languages in the world.

50% of the players died because of no knowledge regarding the basements and it's boss monsters, but as technology passed, we gained enough knowledge to easily kill monsters that spawn in the already conquered floors.

We're currently on Floor 39, The conquering of Floor 40 is today, and now I'm right infront of the Floor Boss, but I feel no excitement at all, is it because of my longing for power that I feel no emotions, or is it because I'm about to die.

The guilds that joined me in this fight were the Crimson Petals, Red Cross and White Dragons, But why do I not see anyone near me? Why is it all nothing but blood?

Is it because they were slaughtered by the gatekeeper to the floor 40?

I looked infront of myself, The floor setting was a large series of trees, basically a never ending forest, We should have known that the boss would be something related to that, yet we stupidly rushed the boss fight and killed people.

Yggdrasil, The tree of life, was the boss monster for this floor, the resting place for all 9 worlds..

Though it is smaller than the real Yggdrasil, The strength is rather formidable for a cheap copy.

Standing at 50 meters, people could easily spot the boss monster even if they were peeking through a distance.

Unlike it's tree like appearance, it could walk, talk as though it was a real human.

The boss monster's health bar had gone down by 70%, It was the time most boss monsters would reveal their 2nd phase, and Yggdrasil was the same.

The tree split itself in half, inside was it's core, the core contained a creature with human like features... No that is not how it is supposed to described..

It was a human.

With long wavy green hair, the boss monster's health bar appeared once again.

It was the second Phase, she had regained 40% of her health points, standing at 70% of the health bar currently.

The name had also changed from Yggdrasil to Gaia, The so called planet Earth itself.

I never knew the earth goddess would be a human trapped in a bubble.

I felt like I needed to save her, but to escape from here, it's either she lives, or I live.

We both cannot co-exist, either one dies or the other dies.

So I picked up my sword once again, and proceeded with the battle.

"Divine Demonic Energy has been absorbed by Kuroka, Strength stat has increased temporarily."

"Heal has been used, regain 100% of health."

"Status recovery has been applied, will slowly reduce fatigue to 0% in 10 seconds."

"Blessing of the Fallen God has been used, All stats boosted by 50% and invincibility has been achieved for the next 5 minutes."

"Once and for all! Kuroka let us conquer this floor!"

I use air dash to jump high up in the air before using Kuroka's Air slash ability to the fullest.

Gaia uses the dead Yggdrasil's body ability to attack me with the roots.

But my temporary invincible stat protected me.

As I expected, the slash hadn't killed the boss monster in one shot, but it did reduce its health to 40%.

"I won't miss the next one!"

5 minutes soon pass and I was not invincible anymore, giving me high recoil and her attacks also sent me flying, it was hard to survive.

It did hurt, but my health never went down, it was as if Gaia was holding back on me.

"Oi, Gaia! I know you can talk! Tell me why do you go easy on me!?"

Gaia looks at me but never replied..

"Whatever, I still need to beat floor 150." I said before running up to Gaia and ending her life once and for all.

"Die, Bitch!"

I behead her with my last attack, but there's something strange that I noticed..

"Why was she going easy on me?" I wondered but I could never get the answer.

"Floor has been cleared, Rewards have been sent to your inventory. Automatically transferred to next floor."

The new floor was based on an ocean view area, perfect for sightseeing.

"Rewards recieved:

Leveled up to 1010!

Gaia's core."

"Show information on Gaia's core."

"Gaia's core

Rank:???

Can be used to revive Gaia to use as a support character."

"Awesome, I wanted her too, since she's this powerful!" I rejoiced but I never thought about how I will revive her.

"Well that's that for later, let us enjoy the new floor for a while, Hercules must know about this, right?" I asked myself, but I didn't think about how even he never knew, since it was a special reward for 100% damage done to boss myself.

"I look forward to Gaia joining me.."
