59. Vegeta's Pride

"Vegeta and Tenshinhan-- you haven't seen it, but that monster was created by Dr. Gero's computer.... And furthermore..."
Piccolo started to tell everything from the start. That he detected the monster and came here to confront it. Then how he injured himself to extract info from it. And how it told him that it was created artificially.
".... Made from our cells?"
Vegeta who listened how Cell was created was pretty shaken after knowing that it was created from the cells of his and other fighters. That's why the Ki emanating from Cell has some resemblance with Goku and others.
Cell is a creature that is artificially created with a sole purpose. And that is to make an absolute and stronger being in universe. Dr. Gero who saw Goku's power when Goku was a child wished to create a being powerful than Goku, powerful than anything. This led him to create androids but still they have a limit. That is evolution. But Cell is a being with the powers of evolution. As long Cell absorbs life energy and other fighters he can change himself and evolve to more powerful being.
And Cell came in past with this sole purpose. To absorb both androids 17 and 18 to gain his ultimate form.
"... So, that's the story... To stop Cell from attaining it's final form, we have to either find it and kill it, or find and kill androids 17 and 18. I'd rather try to squash Cell while he's not so powerful."
Piccolo who completed all story gave a proposal which he prefered. For now, Cell is weak. Even than them. And to reach the level to take down androids he needs to absorb a certain amount of life energy. And better than let it grow it is better to kill it right now to solve future problems.
And plus their opponent is not only Cell but androids as well. Androids are already stronger than them and they can't let another one grow and create difficulty for them.
"I agree with you. It escaped from my hands this time, but the next time I find Cell, it will Cell's demise. Whether he is much stronger or not..."
Alex who was sitting nearby rock said with his tightened fist. He was pretty angry but also a bit excited. Even if he didn't got to complete the mission in one run, he can fight with full of his strength for a time which made him pretty satisfied.
Everybody saw the aura Alex unconsciously was emitting and gulped in fear. Specially the three who has seen his fight with Cell. Only two kicks rendered Cell to retreat. That's how powerful Alex is.
While Vegeta was fully frustrated with his lack of strength. Being a Saiyan and with top of it being a prince he just couldn't accept anybody ahead of him. His pride as the strongest race just couldn't accept it.
"Sheesh... So, we have to go and find this Cell somehow..."
Krillin was already was in a headache. First androids and then this Cell...
"We can't find it for now. After receiving my kicks, I am sure Cell would be more cautious. Cell must be suppressing his Ki to escape from our radar."
Alex said to Krillin. He already after the fight used his Observation Haki to max with any restraint and even used Ki sense all over the Earth. But Cell is certainly suppressing Ki to escape from his clutches.
"But still... We must thwart it's fusion with 17 and 18... Or else..."
"Not just Earth but all planets in galaxy will be in danger... Don't forget it has Freeza's blood too."
Piccolo said with a very grim tone. Defeating Cell is a emergency. Or else the universe is in danger. All of them somehow have to destroy his plan of fusing with Androids.
Before anybody could say anything, Vegeta interrupted everybody.
"Mine as well. It has mine blood as well.... All you have are petty plots... If it wants merge, let it. There will be less beat down!! It saves us trouble. I don't care what my enemies do... I just kill them all." Vegeta said with a very furious tone.
"Don't underestimate it, Vegeta. Cell is much powerful than androids and you were powerless against them." Piccolo said as a warning to Vegeta who was totally was in his prideful state.
"Don't you preach at me! Do you want me to start with you! I will top myself... Mark my words... I will transcend Super Saiyan..."
Vegeta who was already in rage said with a very furious tone. To defeat his enemies if his strength is not enough, than he will train to surpass his past him. While Vegeta was ready to surpass Super Saiyan, rest of them were shocked at Vegeta's words.
"Trans... Transcend... The Super Saiyan?"
Till now, all of them thought that Super Saiyan is most powerful form of a Saiyan. Specially Trunks. But Vegeta's words of surpassing this state made Trunks a bit shocked. Really can it be done...?
" Kakarrot will do the same. I'm sure of it. You guys piddle among yourselves."
Without waiting for any response from anybody, Vegeta smirked and flew away to train and surpass Super Saiyan.
