96 Chapter 96: New Member and Warpath
~Tatsumi POV~
"And that's about sums it up coming here to this point."
With that we explained everything to Mavis as she thinks over the offer, we gave her about the group chat. We explained in detail as we are all enjoying some food for this explanation to her.
We explained from the top of how we met each other as well as the other members as Mavis was absorbing everything from what we told her about each of our members including our histories.
*Munch*
Mavis took a bite of the cookie I provided as she seems to ponder over the offer of being the new member as she explained to me the specifics of the offer in a monotone tone, "Hmm… Let me get this straight so you want me to possibly join some threatening situations in the chance I get to learn most things outside my world and visit others with a good chance to meet new people as well as earn more items out of my world as well as risk my life in your endeavor….? I got that right?"
Pretty much.
Hinata nodded her head as she began to explain to Mavis giving her the choice to join or not which I agree should be her decision, "Correct Mavis-san. We also give you the option of you want to join or not it would be wrong to force you to join."
We both waited as Mavis looks at me as she examines me and Hinata till she finally responds to both of us with her answer in a serious expression, "Hmm… very well I'll join under the condition that you or the members willingly help out my guild. Judging from the expressions you two happen to know more about what happens to my world future also my members. As the First Guild Master of Fairy Tail it's my responsibility to keep my guild members safe."
We both nodded at this as I admire her determination of wanting to protect her people I can respect that.
I guess we can't do much after all Mavis puts her priority to Fairy Tail first and the voice hers carries weight with it. She cares heavily for her guild and her members wanting to preserve them.
No use I'm not going to get rid of a chance recruiting a master strategist that can win wars with ease keeping all of her allies safe. Plus messing with Fairy Tail members is equal to getting on her bad side plus I don't feel like I can handle her going all out on me.
Add the fact that having her use the three great magic powers of Fairy Tail is more than enough to take care of some foes and add the fact she can use infinite magic…. Fuck she became the Merlin in the group.
With that, I'll wait for my time to handle with Natsu another time but for the time being, we nodded our head in agreement as I gave Mavis the invite as we see her join the group chat members.
Waiting for a bit we both see her look surprised and agreed with excitement on her face as she pressed the button.
*Beep*
[The Dimensional Group Chat has invited, "FairyTactician" to become a member.]
That was when Mavis saw the logs as she looked very surprised but the stary eyes on her face betray her as she looked very excited for a…
Actually, would I call her a loli because of her looks or a milf because she gave birth? Does she even know about her kid?

Curiosity getting the better of me I began to talk to her getting curious stopping Mavis's excitement in surprise as I asked, "So… Mavis now that you joined the group chat I have to ask… do you have a kid?"
At this, she looks confused about this as she began to shrug it off as she replies to me not knowing her son August as she spoke, "Sorry Tatsumi, was it? But last I checked I have only one child as far as I remember my Godson Makarov. Why ask such a question?"
Ok, so she remembers her first one with baby Makarov maybe I should be more direct with the question as I began to ask her in confusion but wanting confirmation, "Ok so… quick question did you and Zeref love each other on an isolated land by chance?"
At this Mavis looks at me confused as did Hinata she looks at me confused but then replies my question to her, "Uh… I remember Zeref comforting me during my time in need and we stood there hugging each other but then… oh… OH!"
And…
There it is the realization of finally noticing that she had a secret child descendent to the only person to know the future about her world as she pales tries to plead with me that I was lying to her, "Wait! Wait… you have to be kidding right I mean if that would be the case then my child would be here right? Or are you messing with me right? I mean I was inside the Lacrima and who would be the –"
"Zeref."
At this Mavis froze on the spot seemingly as she was too stunned at the information as it was Hinata that gave that answer I know this isn't the best for her right now but it has to be done as I replied to her, "Yup your child named August is under the care of Zeref his biological father without knowing you and even Zeref doesn't know August is his biological son."
Well, let's hope to see what Mavis does with this information…

The quick answer she did not take well.
I and Hinata waited outside for a bit as Mavis is currently dealing with her life crisis and her own life choices rocking her body back and forth holding her legs as she rockets back and forth as the expression of realization was on her face.
She was rocking back and forth as she began to whisper to herself in total despair as she speaks to herself and life choices in complete despair, "I'm a horrible mother for not knowing my kid August… and for Percht for not leaving my kid here in Fairy Tail… and for Zeref leaving a bun in my oven… and having Percht attacking Fairy Tail soon… then my lifelong friend dies to Zeref my husband killing off one of the founding members but most importantly… leaving SO many missing birthday gifts for my child that I never knew I had one… quite possibly had a terrible upbringing to survive as I was stuck in a Lacrima as he struggles to survive... I'M A HORRIBLE MOTHER!!! WAHHH!!"

Yeah, Mavis seems to be taking the news very well…
Hinata looks to the side wondering what to do in this situation seeing that Mavis is currently unavailable at this time as she tried to speak to me confused about what to do next, "Uh… Tatsumi was wise to reveal to Mavis her past as well knowing a few things about the future. It seems like she's having a mental breakdown here?"
Shrugging at this I replied to Hinata somewhat surprised as well by Mavis's mental breakdown as I kind of figured that she was strong-willed to handle it, "Well… I didn't expect to see this though when I talked about Mavis's future. I figured she was level-headed enough to handle the truth but this though… I think may have to restrict some certain stuff before members have an existential crisis on their hands."
Hinata nods at this slowly as she began to speak to me somewhat grateful tone as she talked to me kindly, "I see…. You know if you or Saeko talked to me about my future would I become like that what Mavis is doing? Having a mental breakdown?"
Shaking my head at this there was a possibility of it happening but then again though Mavis was just revived, met strange people, knowing about the chat group existence is bigger than what she knew, and had the rundown of what happened to her secret child that she never knew she had and is living with her enemy Zeref…
Blink.
Well, maybe I should have worded it better for Mavis to understand next time because I would have a mental breakdown as well if that were to suddenly happen to me like that…. Maybe I should be considerate of how I approach these kinds of subjects from now on…
Like that Hinata went over to Mavis holding her as it seems to us that Mavis is currently in her little world at the moment thinking things as well as realizing that she's probably a horrible mother for not knowing her son August and missing a lot of birthdays gifts to him as she was trapped in the Lacrime for 100 years or more give or take.
Hinata begins to shake Mavis a bit as she seems to be unphased for a bit before she suddenly comes back to her senses as she tries to calm herself down, "Uh… Breath… sigh… sorry about that back there. I wasn't expecting this when I woke up and to be told all of this is well… overwhelming, to say the least."
Scratching the back of my head I should have probably waited for her to get used to this time before explaining anything big to her. But at the very least she seems to take it very well of how to handle the situation now.
That was when she realized something as she began to ask us what anything is left to do for the chat group before we got an update on the quest that caught us by surprise.
*Beep*
[Update!]
[Due to adding the new member FairyTactician the quest goal has been adjusted to fit the two-member team into three for the duration of the quest!]
[Due to this increase of members the member known as FairyTactician shall receive the same benefits as the other members residing inside their worlds if a quest were to occur.]
[This update can only be done when the members on the quest have things left to be done and if the members can invite a person before completing the main objective said recently joined members have the chance to gain the same benefits as the members currently on the quest rewards for helping.]
Well, this is certainly something new and the explanation also tells us why Kaina didn't get any rewards when she joined because, at the time, we already finished what was needed. But this is not the case here so that means if we invite a new member before completing the request, they automatically join the quest were on?
At least we learned something new about the chat group doing specific actions like these will be handy to know in the future but at least we what to do in the quest that we invite someone while on a quest at least.
That was when Mavis finally saw our next step needed to be done with as she spoke confused at this, "Defeat Phantom Lord? Defeat one of the Element 4? Can you two please explain to me why we need to defeat these characters or groups?"
Oh boy, I wonder what she will do to them once she knows those guys are responsible for destroying her guild that stood for 100 years…

"I'LL DESTROY THEM FOR HARMING MY GUILD I CREATED!!!!!"
"IF ITS GUILD WAR THEY WANT IT ONE THEY GET FOR HARMING MY MEMBERS!!"
Who am I kidding she's on the warpath now…?

A/N: Here's today's chapter and Mavis's childish reactions to what happens to her guild and the Phamton Lord arc and she is not happy that her guild building gets destroyed. Due note despite Mavis having a level-headed mind she does have childish tendencies since she has a body of a 13-year-old.
