Unknown to everyone while they were watching the broadcast, a husband and wife were having their 'reunion'.
"How dare you leave us that day!" Shuri yelled at Baraqiel who was on dogeza while sweating heavily.
Baraqiel didn't bother talking back, after all, she is his wife and it is his fault for leaving them that day, only after the attack was done did he get the news.
He rushed up there and saw fire everywhere in the shrine and when he went inside, he saw some corpses but none of them was his wife or daughter so he sighed in relief.
He asked his friend Azazel to find his wife and daughter but even he was helpless on this.
But he didn't despair, he knew that both of them is alive, he believe that they were just somewhere in this world.
He believed.
And finally, the good news came when Azazel went to him and told him about his encounter with Akeno and explains what happened.
At first, Barakiel was happy that she was alive and extremely more happy when he knows how strong she is and finally was tempted to punch Azazel when he also describes Akeno's sizes.
But he didn't, after all, not only is he his friend but he was also thankful to him for the good news, and besides Azazel is known for his lust, so he just let him go but not without a warning and a glare to Azazel who just laughed it off.
So he waited and waited but he didn't receive news about his family visiting him or even a letter.
He was sad but also angry at himself, he shouldn't have left home that day, he should have stayed.

He was very proud of her but at the same time is not. He is proud because she is his daughter but not because she was not trained by him but by someone else.
But he doesn't care about that, as long as she and her mother are alive and Akeno is strong enough to protect herself, he could finally die without regrets.
He was watching the broadcast when his wife, Shuri suddenly asks for him to come with her.
He was confused at first but dirty thoughts suddenly clouded his mind but were broken off when his back was suddenly whipped.
"Ugh~" but instead of crying out in pain, he moaned before suddenly closing his mouth.
He turns around and saw Shuri was there holding her 'ancient weapon' the 'Fallen Angel Slayer' which was named by her.
She doesn't speak up before slipping a sling ring into her fingers and opening a portal then she walked inside followed by Barakiel.
And that's where their 'reunion' began.
Baraqiel told Shuri that he cares for them but it seems like convincing Shuri is much more harder than connecting the USB to the USB port on the first try.
So the only thing he could do for now was just to dogeza and silently receive his wife's lecture.
And while they were having their reunion, a pair of nekoshou was having a chat with a certain kitsune.
"I see... So that's what happened." Yasaka seriously said, currently Kuroka just told her their story and Yasaka really feel like waging war with the devils but she knew that she may be powerful but her fellow Yokai's aren't, and besides if ever she wages war then the Shinto Gods would be forced to intervene and involve themselves.
So she has to think before taking action and the action she decided to take was the peaceful path.
Later after the Faction Wars, she'll try to negotiate with devils about the nekoshou incident.
"You said earlier that the Sorcerer Supreme himself was the one who saved you, right?" Yasaka changes the topic and asks the sisters.
"Un." Kuroka nodded at her words.
"Is he strong? Have you seen him fight?" Yasaka asks while rubbing her palms.
"Un." Kuroka nodded again.
"Could you perhaps explain his fight in detail?" Yasaka asks while her tail behind her was wagging left and right.
Both Kuroka and Shirone were weirded out by this but still decided to tell her the greatness of the Sorcerer Supreme.
But before telling her, Kuroka first asks Xyrus's permission which was granted without a hassle.
And so the flashback on how Xyrus saved the nekoshou will begin in the next chapter.
