Ch. 117

"Wanda? Are you okay?" Pietro asked his sister who suddenly seem to be in some sort of a trance.

"Wanda?"

After shaking her a few times, Wanda finally blinked and looked around in confusion.

"Pietro?" She asked, unknowingly, her voice cracked a bit.

"Hooohh....I thought something bad happened to you." Pietro sighed in relief before speaking.

"I'm fine. I'll go back first, I wanted to rest." Wanda smiled and said before walking back to their house, not waiting for Pietro to respond.

"Yeah sure. I guess, I'll play by myself." Pietro waved his hand in farewell, before muterring in a sad tone.

As soon as Wanda was back in their house, she was greeted by her mother.

"Baby, you're back early. Did Pietro bully you again?" Her mother knelt in front of her and touched her cheek.

Suddenly being under her mother's warmth once again, Wanda can't help but she'd a tear, and immediately hugged her.

"I knew he bullied you again. Don't worry, I'll cook you your favourite food tonight! Let mommy punish Pietro for bullying you." Her mother assured her and kissed her on her forehead.

Realizing that she accidentally put her brother in trouble, she immediately held her hand and stopped her.

"No mom, Pietro didn't do anything. I was just happy to see you!" Wanda smiled and hugged her mother once again.

"Is that so? Then, mommy won't punish Pietro anymore." Her mom said as the said kid finally arrived full of sweat and breathing heavily.

"Mom! Sis! Those guys appeared again!" Pietro said as he hid behind his mom.

Shock filled her face as she crouched and faced them, "Hide in your room, and don't go out until I say so!"

"Pietro, protect your little sister! Wanda, don't cry, I'll be back soon!" She continued as she stood and went outside.

"Let's hide, sis." Pietro held her hand and run upstairs.

'No. Mom.' Wanda was feeling dread in her thoughts, she finally got the warmth of her family once again and yet it's about to perish.

Pietro was forced to stop when he realized that he can't pull Wanda's hand anymore.

"Sis?" Pietro tried to call out to her, but the moment he did, she turned around and saw something that he will never forget in his life.

Wanda's eyes were glowing red while the same can be said on her hands, she then muttered to Pietro.

"Go and hide. I'll go help mom." Wanda coldly said as she stride back downstairs, leaving her brother gawking at what he just witnessed.

Outside their house, her mom was holding a magic circle on both of her hands while 2 males in a robe were standing in front of her, one is a male wearing luxury robes while the other one is an old man wearing a ragged robes.

"Don't resist anymore Iryna. My family is more stronger and influential than yours. Especially when your husband is gone, you are alone now." The male in a luxury robes spoke in a condescending tone.

"I won't let your take my daughter!" Wanda's mother, now known as Iryna, replied in a determined tone.

"You know her talent in magic is almost the same as the legendary magician Merlin. You should even thank us that we didn't leak the information about her, cause if we did, then we will not be your only enemies, but the whole supernatural world." The same man said with the same tone he has.

"Over my dead body!" Iryna said before two large fireballs came out of the magic circles in her hand.

"What a pity." The male said before gesturing the old man beside him whole lift his staff.

A large transparent barrier appeared in front of them that blocked the large fireballs.

"Kill her and take the girl." The man said as the old man nodded in understanding and his staff lit up once again.

The earlier sunny skies turned dark and rumbles and cracking were flashing around the sky.

"[Thunder Smite!]" The old man chanted before a large lightning suddenly fell down and was about to hit Iryna when a red glow suddenly covered Iryna and pulled her away from the spot.

*Boom!*

Although the lightning successfully hit the ground, but unfortunately, it missed the target.

"What?" Iryna said as she just saw her death flashing in front of her eyes when she was suddenly pulled away.

"Mom!" When she turned around, she saw Wanda with red glowing hands, worriedly looking at her.

"Baby!" Iryna seemed to have found the strength to stand up and hug her daughter.

"Don't worry mom, let me handle this." Wanda assured her.

While Iryna just subconsciously nodded not knowing that she just let a 6 year old girl handle the matter of the adults.

Since Wanda was already familiar with her magic, she flew up in the sky and dropped on the ground just in front of the two males.

"Girl, I don't know what you did but you save me the trouble of looking for you. So, either you come with us obediently or I'll have to use force." The man said as the old man's staff lit up, as if threatening to use it on Wanda.

Wanda didn't hesitate and waved her hand, holding the old man who was shocked by what happened in place.

"You took everything from me!" Wanda was submerged in anger of losing the warmth she finally had that she didn't notice what she was saying.

"Little girl. I don't even know...who you are." The old man painfully said confusedly.

"Hmph!" Wanda didn't bother anymore and twisted the old man's neck, killing him on the spot.

"Wha-, d-don't come any closer!" The luxurious man didn't even managed to react when his only bodyguard died at the hands of a child, and seeing that the said child was about to get close to him, he unconciously stepped back, courtesy of human instinct towards their impending death.

"G-get away!" The man kept stepping back that he tripped and fell on the ground.

"Any last words?" Wanda finally got close to him and muttered a word that only he can hear.

"S-spare me." Tears were already streaming on his face as he tried to beg for his life.

"....No." Wanda coldly said as she tilted her head slightly, and the man's head was twisted 360°.

"Wanda?"

When Wanda finally woke up and realized that she just killed two people in front of her mother in cold blood, Wanda frozed and doesn't know what will her mother's reaction to what she did nor did she want to know.

Because of this, her hands glowed in red again and flew away from the house, leaving her mother calling for her in worry and anxiousness.

Meanwhile, what Wanda didn't know was the moment she stepped in this world, she was already being watched by Xyrus, who also watched what happened.
