"The Great and Powerful Trixie is here to enact her vengeance!" Exclaimed The blue coated mare as her eyes and horn flashed with ominous crimson energy.

Twilight looked at Trixie with anger and a slight hint of worry...This day was supposed to be so peaceful...so then why...Why was this happening...

________

Starfall felt at peace...It has already been over a week since their return from the Crystal Empire and nothing serious really came up ever since.

Well...There was that visit of Babs Seeds, but it was just Apple Blooms cousin and it didn't really have much to do with him personally.

The awakening of Radiant Hope was certainly an unexpected turn of events, but with Discord taking full responsibility for the Mare's mental well-being, Starfall couldn't really think of anything he could help her with other than finding a way to unseal her from the Ice.

He was quite proud of Discord to be completely honest. The Draconequus seemed to have changed significantly ever since meeting Hope and Fluffderick. With the way it was going, he felt like it shouldn't be long before he was fit for being free from the rocky prison.

He also needed to figure out how to break the news of Hope's awakening to the two princesses. He knew that they were close and it was going to be quite the shock when they find out. Though he should probably hurry or they're going to be angry at him for withholding the information...

But for now... with nothing really serious to do at the moment, Starfall indulged himself in taking care of his little herd, and working on some of his less important side projects.

One of those projects for example was his magic resistant shield. He was ashamed to admit that he completely forgot to take it with himself when he left for the Crystal Empire. The problem with the shield was actually that it was way too bulky to keep by his side even if he could keep it invisible, so most of the time he would just leave it laying around. That of course ended up being the reason for the shield to be essentially forgotten most of the time, and he really needed to make sure it was not the case when it was really needed...

His mind went back to the previous day when he was working on improving his shield. Having done a few modifications he couldn't help but chuckle a bit in embarrassment, because while he did make a few surprising discoveries regarding the Storm Kingdom's metal used in the shield, actually figuring a way to make it stronger, he still failed to make the shield in any way more compact...

His hoof gently caressed the bloated belly of his peacefully snoring marefriends, as he sighed. Little Strongheart was only a year away from being due and he felt quite apprehensive. It would be the first child he had in either life and he felt like he needed to pick up the pace to ensure it's safety. There was so many evil beings in this world who could endanger his family, and he'll do his damn best to have them disappear, one way or another...

He was secretly thankful That Lil's pregnancy was taking such a long time because of their difference in species and magic trying to correct everything potentially wrong with their baby. Had it been any faster, he would have been in constant fear for the child and would have trouble doing anything else than stay by their side...heh...seems like he's a bit overprotective...

A sudden sound of alarm inside of his head, woke Starfall up from his little daydream.

He gently moved Little Strongheart out of his lap and onto the couch before quickly running towards the closest hidden monitor behind a painting on the wall.

Starfall was surprised as his eyes fell on the display screen. 'It was supposed to be today? And here I was excited for a boring day...' He sighed.

The monitor showed none other that Trixie Lulamoon, A once upon a time disgraced Illusionist, standing in the middle of the town square, in the process of essentially bullying ponies around her and proclaiming her "time of vengeance"...

What caught Starfall's attention was the amulet on her neck, which according to his instruments emanated a staggering amount of evil magic, and was the cause for the entire alarm in the first place...

"That's the amulet of Alicorn! Haha, now that's what I'm talking about. Come to daddy!"He said with a smirk, excited to put his hooves on his newest research material...

'Huh... Twilight is fighting with Trixie...I wonder who's going to win this time around...' Starfall thought looking at the screen. He trusted Twilight and he knew that Trixie wouldn't really hurt her since she wasn't really a bad pony in her heart. That however didn't mean he wouldn't go over to watch Twilight's back if anything went awry in one way or another.

There was also the wellbeing of Trixie to consider. She was driven by resentment and the dark magic of the Amulet, and he was going to make sure no lasting aftereffects would remain on her person when they were finally done with her. She was after all one of the villains who deserved better in his opinion, even if he knew how hypocritical it sounded after annihilating Sombra...

He was just about to get out of the Library when a soft voice stopped him by the doors.

"Morning Starfall, Where are you going?" Asked a half asleep looking Midnight, walking down the stair accompanied by her similarly exhausted looking clone/sister Luna.

"Oh hey Moony, Luna. Say...Did you two spend the whole night playing games? You look as if you got trampled by a stampede." He replied with a question of his own while looking at the duo in amusement.

The two princesses looked back at him in exasperation with a hint of annoyance.

"Ha, ha...Very funny...And even if we did then what?" Luna said annoyed, but with a hint of mirth in her eyes betraying her real thoughts. "But you didn't answer our question. Where are you going?" She finished by once again asking him and Starfall smiled.

"Oh, it's just, a certain illusionist with a slight grudge towards Twilight got her hoofs on a Powerful artifact and is currently in the process of fighting it out with my girl. If you want we can go and watch the show together..." He proposed as the two mares looked at the stallion with a hint of incredoulousness.

"Um...aren't you worried? Shouldn't we like...hurry...?"Asked midnight and Starfall just shrugged.

"Nah. She's got it. Though I wouldn't mind having a look at that artifact. I wonder what secrets it could hold inside of itself..." He said, already dreaming of dismantling it for study.

The two Princesses of the night just rolled their eyes and cast some magic on eachother to correct their sleepy looks. They they quickly approached Starfall and pushed him out of the doors.

"Better get moving "Starswirl". Twilight needs your help." Luna jabbed at the Stallion by using the name of the legendary Unicorn. But coming out of Luna's mouth, who used to know him personally, he felt somehow as if it was not a compliment at this very moment...
