All the good things had to come to an end, as the ponies walked through the portal into the Laboratory. They found it really convenient that they didn't really need to travel this distance by train or on hoof, because even with them being ponies and way faster than humans, it would have still taken them a few hours at the least to return back home.
Starfall sighed, noticing that their crystalized bodies were slowly fading back to their regular state. He was hoping to study the phenomenon more closely after returning, but it seems like the transformation is affected by the distance from the Crystal Empire. A shame but he'll find some time another day. it's not like they can't experience it again later.
Everypony left the lab, not passing by the atrium but going directly to the exit. The time they spend in the Crystal Empire was fun but they really needed to check up on their homes, work or their family. life had to go on obviously.
Starfall looked at Rainbow Dash who stood behind by the entrance of the Golden Oak Library looking slightly nervous.
"Is something the matter Dashie?" He asked walking closer to her as Rainbow Dash gave him a nervous smile.
"Well... I i wanted to tell you something..." She said looking extremely nervous for some reason.
"I'm listening." He said with a smile, waiting for the mare to finally get over her worries.
"I...Okay...I-"She took a deep breath and close her eyes. "-Iwanttosignupforthewonderboltsacademy!" She said extremely fast and Starfall barely managed to understand what she tried to convey.
He looked at her for a second, trying to understand why she was so afraid to tell him that, before saying.
"Okay...and? is there any problem with that?" He asked and Rainbow looked confused at Starfall.
"B-but I would be away form you all a-and-*mmph"' She suddenly couldn't speak anymore as her lips were sealed by Starfall's. Then they separated, with Rainbow slightly dazed as Starfall chuckled at his winged marefriend.
"Rainbow. I know how much you love flying, and becoming a Wonderbolt was always your dream. We even helped you study for it, did you forget? There's no need to second-guess yourself. you're going to do great when they accept you into the academy and we'll certainly make sure to visit you regularly so there's no need to worry about anything. Now go, I'm sure there's a lot you need to do at home after you were gone for a few days." He said but Rainbow dash looked at Starfall with a hungry look, his words calming her down and making her grateful for having such a s considerate Coltfriend.
That evening neither Starfall nor Rainbow Dash managed to do anything productive, as the Mare dragged him straight towards his bedroom, eager to reciprocate him for his words of encouragement...

Spike looked around the clubhouse with a clear hint of excitement as he stood at the podium in the middle of the small treehouse. He was surprised when Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon wanted to join them in their fun a while ago, but he was nonetheless happy to make them as the honorary members of the club even if they already had their Cutie Marks.
And now there was yet another new member that joined their fun. Her name was Babs Seeds, and she was Apple Bloom's cousin. He wasn't sure what to think of her at the beginning, but she soon turned out to be a very fun person to talk to and before long they were all having fun together, trying to find their place in the world by uncovering the secrets of the Cutie Marks.
It was very fun!...Though he was slightly missing the days when he could be here only with his tree marefriends...just the thought of snogging them silly made him excited, and he needed to keep it on hold or he'd scare the new members if they notice. stupid dragon hormones... But he was a teenage dragon surrounded by a bunch of pretty girls...who could blame him? That dragons matured technically faster than ponies was also another thing to consider. He needed to always make sure he wasn't moving too fast with the trio. That though usually meant that he would leave it to his girls to decide what they wanted to do. And since them snogging was the most that ever happened, seems to imply that they are at least slightly responsible...right? Sigh...he needs to talk to dad and ask. Better Spike himself be the one responsible or they might do something wrong later...

The Town looked peaceful... cheerful...just like she remembered, not counting that humongous bear that she failed to even slow down when the ponies asked her for help...This time it would have been different though...This time...she was powerful! She had IT after all...
Her hoof gently caressed an amulet in the shaped of an alicorn with a blood red gen in the middle.
A red sheen passed over her eyes as she looked back towards the town in the distance, maybe a day or two of walking from the vantage point on the hill she was on.
She was back...She would show them power...She would show them that she's better than that Twilight Sparkle...
...And she would show them...that she is worthy of standing by HIS side...
"My dear Prince...I'm coming for you..." She said as her eyes once again flashed crimson.

Starfall blinked his eyes a few times as he looked at the empty spot in the middle of the room.
He knew that it shouldn't be empty, because he was the one who brought inside the object that once stood right where his gaze now told him of its inexistence...Well...That was slightly problematic.... Although he could probably find the reason for the disappearance, if he only asked the only other Pony who could come into this chamber when he and Twilight were in the Crystal Empire...
But surprisingly, Whooves was as clueless as Starfall regarding the object, having spend the last three days on a small outing with derpy...
Suddenly Starfall remembered. There was still that guy...The reincarnated unicorn himself decided to give him a higher access to the facilities. So maybe...
Starfall walked over to the doors and facehoofed.
He forgot to raise the security level of the chamber, so Discord could very well enter here whenever he wanted.
Well, now let's just hope he didn't do anything stupid...

It was a second time that day that Starfall had to stop and blink his eyes unable to believe what he was seeing.
As he walked into the atrium, he expected a lot of things, but certainly not Discord and Hope both still very much under their own forms of petrification, talking animatedly as if they were the best friends in the world, while eating sweets and playing boardgames...
He quickly put together what happened. Discord must have used the same magic formation which allowed him to move, In order to give Hope the same ability, though he was stil not able to figure out how the two ended up becoming so friendly with eachother...
He could already tell that a headache was approaching him, but Starfall didn't let it stop him as he walked over to the duo. better get this over with sooner than later...

Twilight laid in their bed, trying to get some sleep after a busy day.
She spend the morning trying get her bearings after spending a better part of the night getting ravaged by her beloved stallion, only to find her library swarmed with a bunch of bookworms who were all excited to read the newest book of Daring Do, Rainbow Dash being included amongst them... It was a good thing that she ordered more of them from the distributor or she might not have had enough to keep one for herself.
While selling books was not really the purpose of the library, she did do so occasionally to get some bonus income, if only to satisfy her conscience. She didn't want to completely rely on Starfall's riches after all and the library was free for all ponies...
But after all was said and done, Twilight went back to bed feeling exhausted, and wanted nothing else than to hug her beloved Starfall...
So imagine her surprise, when said Stallion, looking equally exhausted as she was, walked into the room and hugged her from the side while hiding under the covers...
They snuggled together, neither talking. A silent understanding went between them and they soon fell into deep sleep. the need to rest finally taking it's toll on both of them...

Discord looked at Hope and grinned, while the mare giggled. giving Starfall a headache seemed to be an activity that the duo had enjoyed equally...though they should probably stop with the archaic puns that only thousand years old Ponies would understand or he's going to get an aneurysm... Hope was also hoping to thank Starfall properly for saving her from the Frozen North tomorrow. maybe she could make something nice for him with Discord... She'd have to think about it...
I Wonder if he likes Kites...she mused...
