Diabolical Boulevard

Book Lords, grimoires, Profound Beasts, Armageddons, and Abominations—I found myself in a world where the strong devour the weak, and the weak gather to resist the might of the strong, 500 years before a story I used to watch, six years before I got shot in the head. As a half-vampire fated to hold the title of being the only Book Lord with F-grade talent, even he, Gu Mickey, who had watched the epilogue, did not know the power hidden in the so-called rubbish among junk talents. The legend of a maple leaf who rose from a stepping stone to...

Mickey’s Inferno.

A middle-aged man had an ashen expression. His brown eyes gazed at the burning grass house, but tears didn't seem to come out, even when he tried to force them.

It was not a top-quality house, but he had put his blood and sweat into building it, yet this kid just burned it down in one second.

He was lucky to have been peeing outside when his house started burning, but he would have preferred to be burned together with his house.

All his clothes were in there, and now all he had was a ragged piece of cloth that showed part of his special regions.

With a hateful glare, he looked at the man who had started the fire, his face contorting in rage. "Why did you do it?! What did my place ever do to you?!"

Mickey just gave the short dark-skinned man walking towards him a callous glare. "Why did I do it? Simple, because you let someone rob my house without even stopping them. You didn't steal my property, but what is stopping you from collaborating with them?"

"Yes, I did take your clothes!" The man bluntly agreed to his crimes, his fists clenching. "I was going to give them back to you. Why did you bring my house into the issue?!"

Mickey scoffed at the man, speaking disdainfully. "Bring them back? What utter bullshit."

"You don't believe me? I really was going to bring them back." The man's face was furious, but he couldn't hide the greed flashing in his big eyes.

Red...

For a moment, Mickey saw red. The greed in the man's face reminded him of the time when he was back on Earth, during his school days. A person stole his gym shoes, but when he caught him, that person used the excuse that he was just keeping them for him and needed to be paid for his good deeds. When Mickey told the officials, no one took his side, and he ended up paying.

Mickey's vision returned as the fury in him shot up like a bullet. He knew that this old man was after the money he was rumored to have taken from his mother before she lost her job, but his only source of income was a rented apartment to support his school fees.

"There were 30 million spirit coins in that house. Are you going to repay me?"

Mickey let out a small chuckle. He had seen houses that had millions in them, and the man's grass kennel wasn't one.

However, he couldn't help but agree sarcastically, "Sure thing. I will give you the 30 million spirit coins and also build you a grand house in the suburbs."

"Really!" The man's expression shifted, forming a smile. He couldn't believe this son of a fallen conglomerate.

"In hell, I would."

However, it didn't take a second for his smile to fade. Out of nowhere, Mickey was clutching his neck with one hand, lifting him into the air.

His voice box was squashed, and his eyes started dancing like ping pong balls from shock. 'When did this kid become so strong?! Don't tell me he got possessed by a Demonic Book Lord!'

In this world, it is not rare for people to get possessed. There are spells that specialize in such areas, although not common, there are stories of them in Acoustic City.

This is one of the reasons why Mickey is killing these people. If he suddenly changes and becomes famous, these people will drag him down if he refuses to give them something, like money, which will lead to many forces trying to look into his memories, which is something he can't tolerate.

Thus, why he is taking care of them, before he started making a move on the world. Call it genocide, so what?! It was far better than having someone take his only advantage.

Mickey tightened his grip on the man's neck and threw him towards the burning grass house.

"I hope you have a horrible death, Gu Mickey!" The man made one last call before he perished.

"I already did." Mickey maintained his indifferent look as he picked up a dry wood stick, and lit it up.

Taking advantage of the unwritten rule of this place, Mickey continued to torch the other makeshift houses until there were no more.

The same thing repeated until all the houses in the southern squatter camp caught on fire.

The forensics in this world are a stage below those of Earth, and Mickey was sure that since he burned his house too, no one would suspect him. Squatter residents weren't even considered people; none of their names were even recorded in the city registry, and the matter of them burning would just be overlooked.

Mickey wasn't planning to kill these people today, but time waits for no man. If you stay idle for a decade, you age a decade.

Mickey was only left with his tablet from the things he bought while staying here, besides the clothes he was wearing and the spirit coins in his pocket.

He climbed a tree with thick leaves and enjoyed the sight before him. People's screams could be heard here and there, but the more violent the flames got, the more silent it became.

Mickey smiled. Today he acted unlike his previous life. He wanted to kill those he disliked, but the law suppressed him and he did it only for someone's personal interest.

He was just a leaf on a riverbed, he had to go with the flow whether he liked it or not.

In his heart, there was a burning desire for murder, which later turned into suicidal thoughts.

He wanted to live forever, yet he also wanted to die.

He was Bipolar!

The more he watched the burning flames, the more such a feeling slowly lifted from his chest, and he felt happy.

He was at peace with himself.

The smile on Mickey vanished as it got replaced by a cold light. "I can kill if I need to... that is how I will survive!"

"In order to win, humans sin. I am going to sin for eternity as long as it keeps me the winner at the end."
