'The Rising...'
Oliver sighed. "How long have you known each other?"
"One month-"
"One month was all it took for a girl like her to fall asleep in your lap constantly? I'm so jealous!" Davi rolled his eyes. "S... So... How did the two of you meet?" He asked.
That caused a smirk to come onto the shark tooth boys face. "Now that's... A story..."

One Month Ago...
The Seas...
"Fire!" A Loud voice announced as a man pointed past the edge of his boat and over at something that was in front of their ship.
On the coast of the Kingdom of Avalon a large metal ship could be seen. On the ship was a large flag with the symbol of a golden sword rising towards what looked like a sun. The flag for Avalon, for they say the King's bloodline are all descendent of the mighty Sun God. This ship was a simple vessel holding a vast fortune of wealthy guests, who wanted to have fun on a cruise during these war bound times.
Despite the fact that this was just a simple vessel designed for taking the rich Nobles of Avalon on a joy ride a large metal cannon could be seen at the top of the boat. It glowed and began to fire at something that was in front of it...
A Mana Cannon. Powerful magical weapons powered by pure mana that would unleash a mass of destructive energy. They were expensive and bulky so they were usually used for taking down Oddity Beast's or for wars. Though it was said the Council, a group that rained above even the ten Guilds, had the strongest Mana Cannon in all the lands, a Cannon that was said to have been built by Merlin himself, the Master of Magic, to King Arthur back in the day...
So?
Just what was this mighty weapon being used on then was the question...
Within the deep waters a large creature could be seen. It looked almost like a giant serpent. An Aqua Drake is what it is called, one of the many Oddity Beasts that resided within this world. A dangerous sea baring creature. Despite the fact it was attacking the massive ship though the people on it didn't seem to concerned. The Nobles walking back and forth casually while several men in sailor uniforms ran back and forth. One stood out from the others. He was far taller than the rest and dressed in a captains uniform. He stood on the very top of the ship his arms crossed as he stared at the massive beast a large smirk on his face.
"Fire again!" He announced. The massive cannon next to him began to lit up as a large beam exploded out of it soaring across the seas splitting them apart as it blasted a hole right through the beast which let out a loud roar of pain slowly sinking into the waters below.
For a moment there was a strange static sound, and than in a blast, the creature exploded as gold was flung into the air and rained down onto the boat much to the enjoyment of the cheering men. Landing right on the deck of the boat was a large metal chest covered in chains.
The captain's grin grew larger as he folded his arms up. "Good... Good... Aqua Drakes are known for sinking ships and devouring all the treasure on board. So when we kill one like that it'll go and burst unleashing a hail of Gold for us all to collect." He laughed loudly.
Creatures like these weren't to hard to deal with. The massive cannon they had was actually overkill. Not designed to kill Beasts like them. These waters weren't usually dangerous but with the war that was currently going on, and the vast uprising of dark guilds, such as Dragon Dwellers, it didn't hurt to be careful.
"Uh... Captain..." A crew mate said holding a pair of binoculars up as he stared down at the sea a scared look slowly covering his face.
"What is it matey..."
"I... I see it! In the distance!" The man said letting out a squeak. Off on the sea a few meters away, and yet quickly approaching they saw it. What looked like a small wooden barrel that was taking on water. Within the barrel the thing that had them so shook could be seen. What looked like a large figure covered in dirty, and dusty brown robes... "It's the Kings Ghost!" He yelled out in a terrified voice.
"What!" The Captain looked out a pale look growing in his face when he saw the barrel... And behind it large dark clouds moved through the wind as something approached them...
Neither of the men even noticed as the massive chest that had crashed down slowly clicked open as a figure slowly crawled out and began stumbling down the boat...
Meanwhile...
Within this boat a small restaurant rested. And within this restaurant a young nineteen-year-old girl could be seen resting at one of the many empty tables. She was dressed in a waitresses outfit and had a bored look on her face. Behind her a grown man in a chefs outfit could be seen. He appeared to be crying as he used his long blonde beard to cover his face and wipe the snot that dripped down it as he loudly wailed out.
"We're ruined!" The man cried. "Ruined Leena! Ruined! It's lunch time and yet we have no customers! No one is showing up! No one!"
"So weird..." The girl who was apparently named Leena muttered as she bit her lip and let out a small hum. "We're never really packed but we've always had at least one person inside our restaurant? What happened to all our customers? We're one of the only places to eat on this ship... How are these rich pricks not flocking to us all!" She pouted puffing her cheeks out.
"Ruined!"
Leena let out a sigh as she stood up. "I'm gonna go check outside of the building pops." She said walking to the door. "I'll peak outside and make sure we didn't leave the-" She stopped as she tried to push the door open. It was heavy. Like there was a weight on the other end? "What the..." Leena gritted her teeth and pushed with all her might as the door slowly was pushed open. She nearly tripped as she stepped out and almost fell over something. Her eyes slowly drifted down towards the ground where an unconscious raven black-haired body, clutching a ruby red guitar could be seen covered in blood... He had black eyes which were filled with stars as he laid back. He wore a pair of simply grey pants, a white T-shirt, and a red long sleeved leather jacket. His teeth could be seen which were large, and fanged. It was like a bunch of jagged shark teeth.
This teen was named Davi Hawker, the 'hero' in the beginning of our story. He was also the person who crawled out of that chest.
Leena stared down at the both blinking a few times as she took them both in. "Oh It's a body... Ahhhhhh!" She screamed out stumbling back. Her eyes were wide as she stared at the teen who didn't seem to be moving.
Then...
Davi let out a low groan his eyes opening for a moment as he stared up at the blue sky above him. He looked as if he had just woken up from having a good dream a strange look on his face. For a small moment his lips curled, not in a frown, or a grin, and Leena saw them.
His jagged and fanged teeth.
"Demi Human..." She breathed out getting the boys attention as his head snapped to her making her let out a squeak.
Davi stared at her for a moment then gave a wide smile showing off all his teeth. "Yo!"
"Y... Yo?" Leena asked backing up more.
Davi jumped to his feet and wobbled slightly as blood flowed out of his wounds. He was badly beaten covered in scratches, burns, and he looked dehydrated. He took a step towards her making her let out a yelp and back away in fear. Davi frowned at this. "What's the matter."
"T... T... Those teeth... You're... You're a Demi Human! A Half Human, and Half Something else... One of your parents isn't human..." She said holding her hands up in fear. "P... Please don't eat me."
Davi's frown grew as he folded his arms. "Why the hell would I eat you? Though... I guess you do look like a tasty snack." He mused making Leena's face turn red. But Davi shook his head as he pointed up to the sky for some reason. "Whatever the case it shouldn't matter what I am. We all live under, and see the same sky after all! We're all in this together on this planet. And I'd chose the life of an honorable knight than a blood thirsty beast any day!"
Leena stared at the boy for a moment before her eyes slowly looked down. "S... Sorry... That was rude of me to assume... It's just with the war... Dragon Dwellers has been recruiting a lot of Demi Humans, and Non Humans, since they're treated as second class... They'd gladly join Dragon Dwellers to make the rest of the world burn."
"Dragon Dwellers..." Davi's face seemed to twist into a scowl for a moment as an aura seemed to come off of him. "Well you don't have to worry about them... For sure I'm... I'm going to-"
'Bonk!'
There was a loud smack as Leena's father slammed a frying pan down into the head of Davi causing the teens eyes to roll into the back of his head as he fell forward crashing face first into Leena's arms who stood there with wide eyes.
"Leena are you okay!" Her father as in a panic as Leena's eyes were wide.

A few Minuets Later...
"Thank you for the food!" Davi announced cheerfully. He gave a large smile showing off his many fanged and jagged teeth that were in his mouth. "It feels good to eat again after being trapped in that chest in that beasts stomach!"
He was currently tied to a chair inside of the restaurant, that was on this cruise ship, and was slowly being fed by a deadpanned Leena who simply stared at him. He looked kind of strange. He was covered in his own blood, dehydrated and practically starved, and yet he somehow had his spirits up like nothing had happened to him?
"Who the hell is this brat? He was practically on deaths door when we found him, and yet he's acting like he's in such a good mood..." Leena muttered as she fed the tied up sixteen-year-old. "And what's with those fangs in his mouth... His teeth are so unnatural-"
Davi gulped down the food, as he slowly stood up causing the ropes around him to snap off as if they weren't even there. Now that he had eaten and got a drink he didn't even seemed to be harmed anymore. He was still injured but he just brushed it off like no biggie. He was odd?
"Thank you!" He said again giving a slight bow of the head. "But I really must be going, as I need to get to Oleander, and find my friend, so I'm just-"
Before he could even move he felt a tight grip on the top of his head as he was forcefully swung around meeting the terrifying gaze of the restaurant owner as he stared down the young man not caring how strong Davi may or may not be.
"Listen brat." He practically growled. "You cost me a hell of a lot of customers, and you ate and drank at our place! You have to pay for all of that food and water we gave you! I don't just hand out free things you know. So you can leave as soon as you covered your bill." He hissed out his eyes glaring daggers at Davi daring him to try and get away.
"Uhh..." Davi muttered not able to meet the mans gaze. "W... Well... Funny story sir... You see I set out on a small row boat... But eventually managed to stowaway on a much higher and bigger war vessel carrying a bunch of cool looking soldiers from another Country, but when they found me out they beat me and took all of my money and dumped me into the ocean in the hopes the water would drown me or I'd be devoured by an Oddity Beast. I managed to get into this chest though which for some reason could float and sometime later a Aqua Drake ate it and I was trapped for three full days and about to die! But those jerks I told you about totally robbed me so I'm kind of short on cash sorry. More importantly during the crash Cath, my pet vanished. I don't think she's dead though. If she'd go anywhere it's Oleander since like me she has a mission there, so It's super important that we arrive at Oleander as quick as we can."
"Who?"
"Who beat me up? I don't really know their names, sir but they were in Black-"
"Cares." The man finished hitting the boy over the head. "Until you pay off that debt you ain't going anywhere! So grab a uniform brat! Effective immediately you now work for me! Or I can just call the local Guards if you wanna spend a night in jail on this boat!"
Davi gulped and let out a small laugh as he began to realize the strange situation he was now in. The man threw an apron at the boy as he glared at the scared child. "Y... Yes sir..." Davi said sheepishly as he bowed his head. "I suppose it is only fair I work for you..." He sighed. "My sister taught me to repay debts if I can. Better to have someone owe you one, than you owe someone, is what she always said."
"Sounds like your sister is a smart girl. Smarter than her brother thats for sure." The man grunted making Davi chuckle.
"Gloria is... Yeah she's smart..." Davi said seemingly going quiet.
"Don't worry..." Leena sighed as her eye twitched. "He really is a good person once you get to know him. I'm sure we can work off your debt in no time."
"Th... That's good I guess? Though..." Davi shuddered when he saw the dark look in the man's eyes. "I somehow doubt it'll be that easy..."
