Devil's Little Guardian

"So, are you ready to obey my orders?" His deep ocean voice fanned against her slightly twitched earlobe. "Y-yes, master." "Break a rule, you will be facing the same punishment as that douche." He smirked pointing at the cell which was completely dark and covered with magical dusts. Kristen choked out hearing the painful cries from the cell. That man had been suffering the same pain since the past two hundred years. He will suffer until some one replaces her master, the Devil himself.

SILLY DEMON

"What's wrong? You look sad instead of what I was expecting." He exclaimed still not breaking his eye contact with hers.

"Why would I be happy to be abandoned?" She snarled at him, but he quickly held her down.

"Selene, I can't read your mind as much as I want to."

"You can't read my mind but there is something certainly called common sense even the last time, I met you. Where did you suddenly, lose it?"

He looked at her like a lost puppy once again and to be honest, that would be the softest look that he would have ever pulled on some one. Selene was mentally slapping her for the behavior but being very adamant, she was not ready to back down. She scoffed, trying to get her mind into the point and using that opportunity, he flipped her down to the floor and jumped up.

"Oh, that was a close death call." He sighed, pushing her damp hair back.

"How dare you?" She stood up in an instant and tried to leap on him but he quickly moved away, causing her blade to tear of the expensive sofa cushion into two.

"Oh my dear! That was a very expensive custom made one gifted to me by my friend." His typical ironic accent kicking in with every word he spoke.

Selene stood there with the tears she fought back, now falling down her melanin skin like a river but the other was just focusing on a lifeless cushion. She knew that he was materialistic and she admired it till then but why does it suddenly hurt? Selene knew that he can't be soft to anyone as he has been dealing with deadliest souls since a millennium but she expected herself to be an exemption. Weren't they friends when they were back in heaven?

"Selene, I am so upset about this. Why in the world would you do that when I am providing you with such good news?" He whined still caressing the cushion.

"Fuck you and your news." She shouted before jumping out of the window and disappearing into the darkness.

He looked back to see the white curtain just flying at the impact and sighed. What could go wrong with her all of a sudden? He was confused but he didn't feel like giving it a second thought, because why? He took his phone once more and texted a couple of people regarding his visit on earth. He dearly needed a distraction at this point if he doesn't want to mess up Gabriel's wedding.

"I am ready." Kristen announced in the court while dropping her bag in front of all.

"Ready for what? The marriage?" Linda asked with a small smile.

"About that. I have an announcement to make and I want you all to not pass a comment or opinion about it."

"What are you planning?" Gabriel elbowed her as he knew that she was about to do something stupid considering the fact about Lucifer.

"I am going to hell for a while." She announced causing a wave of disrupt in the court.

Everyone's mouth were wide open and some gasped too loud not being able to comprehend her words. Was she kidding? An angel publicly announcing that she is going to hell as if announcing a tour. Linda and God stood up from their thrones and looked at her in disbelief. Gabriel was frozen in his spot because obviously Kristen meant what she said. She will definitely go down to hell even if it requires her to give up on her status.

"What do you mean by that?" The God asked as he glared at her.

"I am going to visit him, visit the devil." She said rather proudly with her head held high and eyes travelling to everyone in the room.

The crowd gasped again as they looked at the man who was fuming in anger. As much as he allows freedom to Kristen, which is even more than the senior angels, he hates when someone crosses their line and right now what she did was that. Gabriel quickly pulled her hand to drag her out but she just shrugged and stayed put, not realizing the tense situation or maybe, she is just challenging them at that moment. Linda also stood from her place and walked to her husband to prevent anything bad from happening.

"Do you have any idea what you are saying?" Linda asked calmly.

"I do have full awareness and I really mean it. I am not allowing that trouble of a son to destroy my wedding."

"I told you that every thing will be taken care of and he wouldn't dare to have a glance on this ceremony."

"And this is not just for this one ceremony. I want him to learn how it would be if he messes with the angels and the God. He must have been an angel but no, he is not. He has to reflect on his mistakes and I am going to help him with that." She seemed quiet proud of her answer.

"If you are that confident, I will allow you three months to do so. If you can change him for the better, you will be promoted as the arch angel and Gabriel would be still your partner or else..." The God paused for a while as he looked at the other members present.

"Father, just don't let her."

"Or else? Please continue, uncle. I like it when you assign some tasks to me."

"Or else you would have to live the rest of your life in hell just like him, but as a demon who serves him." The gasp in the council doubled than before and Linda looked at her husband with perplexed pupils.

"Lord? What are you saying?"

"Linda, stay out of this."

Even Kristen was shocked at the words because no where in the scene, she saw this coming. Gabriel was about to protest, but his father's glares made him stop abruptly but his eyes were begging him to take back the words. Kristen bit her lower lips, contemplating what to do but she was sure of one thing. There is no backing away from her words.
