The empty door, its appearance alone, brought enigma and terror. Would the end be the light? Or darker than darkness? Lucas was really interested to venture forward.
Lilith tugged Lucas's clothes, asking for her attention, and when she finally succeeded, she asked with a stuttering voice:
"H-Husband… do you want to go?"
Lucas smiled at her and patted her head to comfort her uneasiness. Lucas glanced at Ronan, and he was worse than Lilith. Still, with a single glance of his eyes, he already expressed what he wanted to convey, even bringing more terror to Ronan.
"Trust me. My instinct is telling me it's not dangerous, so it should be safe. It's just a tunnel, and it will eventually lead to a vast place. There's no need to worry." Lucas' voice was filled with confidence and assurance.
"B-But…" Lilith was concerned, but with a sudden big exhale, she continued, "All right, husband. I will trust you."
