"Eh?!" Kingsley exclaimed in shock.
He hadn't expected this at all. At most, he thought the goblin would evolve into a Goblin King, which, as far as he knew, was the highest form of goblin.
But this? This was completely unexpected. Still, it wasn't unwelcome. The more power he had at his disposal, the safer he would be, and the faster he could achieve his goals.
"Also, what does Demon Goblin Emperor even mean? What kind of race is so powerful that they get 'Emperor' added to their title?" Kingsley muttered to himself.
He couldn't shake the feeling that he had created something extraordinary—though the extent of its extraordinariness was still unclear.
In every fantasy story he'd read, any creature with "Emperor" in its title was usually godlike in power.

"So basically, this is like the SSR card in a deck—exists, but it's so rare it might as well not," Kingsley remarked, drawing from his knowledge of gacha games.
He couldn't even begin to fathom the kind of power Viktor now possessed. For starters, he had no reference for what a physique stat of five (5) translated to, let alone a stat of nine hundred and ninety-nine (999).
By anime or web novel logic, Viktor was probably insanely overpowered—especially with those maxed-out stats. But even then, "overpowered" was relative.
Viktor could only be considered strong when compared to other creatures, and so far, Kingsley had only encountered goblins, which were basic fantasy mobs.
"Let's get you something to wear," Kingsley said, finally turning his attention back to Viktor.
With those words, the leather rags Viktor had been wearing started to transform, morphing into a sharp, well-tailored suit.
When the transformation was complete, Kingsley took a moment to appreciate the goblin's appearance.
Viktor was astonishingly handsome, as though the Evolution Crystal had enhanced his physical looks as well.
"You're free," Kingsley declared, releasing his hold on Viktor.
Immediately, the newly evolved Demon Goblin Emperor dropped to one knee, bowing in a manner that wouldn't have looked out of place in an anime or manga featuring a noble protagonist.
"My Lord!" Viktor said, his tone filled with surprising enthusiasm for someone who had just lost their free will.
"You are tasked with ensuring my safety—or, in the worst-case scenario, my survival. Now stand. I don't need a guard who bows at every turn," Kingsley instructed, trying to sound as authoritative as a proper lord.
"I hear and obey," Viktor replied. He stood and moved to stand beside Kingsley, who was still lounging in his makeshift chair.
"Good. Now that that's sorted, I need to find something to eat."
Kingsley sighed. He'd spent hours here, doing nothing but keeping watch for danger and monitoring Viktor's evolution. He hadn't had a moment to relax, let alone consider his own basic needs in this new world.
Fortunately, he was in a forest, so gathering food should be relatively easy. Unfortunately, Kingsley had no idea how to go about it.
Viktor, on the other hand, had been a gatherer before his evolution. He would likely know how to find food, but Kingsley hesitated to rely on him just yet.
After all, Viktor had gathered food for goblins, and there was no guarantee that humans and goblins shared the same palate—or could even eat the same kinds of food.
