The Shining Light of Dreaburg

He couldn't recognize the voice's owner, but he could make out a figure slowly coming out of the shadowy darkness surrounding them. It had a slim body, and he couldn't make out any features on its face except red, piercing, glowing eyes that burned bright yellow from behind them. Cronus turned his body around to take in more of his surroundings. The scenery around them turned pitch black, just like Sora's skin. He also noticed other creatures of different kinds emerging from their hiding spots and crowding closer to his side in the light.

"HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?" Cronus exclaimed, confused by the revelation and everything else going on right now. Cronus had difficulty seeing things clearly, not only because there was so much going on with everything else surrounding him. This place was almost completely pitch black, and despite the vast number of stars, all he saw was black.

"Cronus, I truly have to commend you for your effort. I won't forget you for as long as I live." Sora chuckled.

Cronus looked down to see Sora's entire arm impaled through his chest. "Fuck."

"See you in Hell," Sora said.

The dark mana around Sora's claws acted quickly like acid and started eating away at Cronus's insides. Cronus did not scream, as the pain had started to grow worse and his body started to feel heavy with fatigue. "Sora, please, I have one request before I die." Cronus winced in pain as he tried to muster up the words.

"What is this request that you speak of?" Sora asked.

"I have a sister; she is around your age. Please take care of her. I know you are hurting more than I am. I also know that there is good within you, so please protect my sister, as I have failed."

Sora hesitated before accepting the proposal. But not knowing any details, Sora asked, "Where do I find your sister?"

"Dreaburg Castle. She works in the castle as the king's assistant." Cronus uttered these last words before his body was completely burned to ash by the flames that consumed his entire body.

Sora was hesitant to finish off Cronus; not only did he feel remorse, it was as if he wanted to be friends with him. I just continued to stand there and watch as everything happened. I was useless. "Remi, we have to save Cronus. NOW!" Enzo screamed at me.

"Hold on, Enzo; let's see what happens." I said that, in reality, I was terrified of what Sora could do to me, but I know it's worth it in the long run. We must defeat him once and for all if we are to survive this new world order. I stood firm and waited patiently. I watched him stand, preparing his defenses, as the aura surrounding him grew stronger by the second.

"Why did you have to fight me? You had a family, and you had a choice to live." Sora pitied Cronus as he lay there unresponsive as his vocal cords were burned by Sora's fire magic.

"Pathetic!" Sora yelled angrily, thrusting his hands forward as his dark purple mana claws penetrated Cronus' chest. Blood spewed from the deep incision and trickled down onto the ground, seeping into the dry dirt underneath where Sora was still hovering over him, grinning wickedly.

Sora plunged the same clawed fingers of dark purple flames deeper inside his victim, ripping out the internal organs from his torso. With a loud cracking sound, Cronus' neck broke when Sora lifted his head from behind with one hand, staring directly at him with those flaming crimson eyes burning brighter than before. His glowing eyes appeared eerily ghost-like within those sockets beneath that horrible grin spreading wider across his face.

Sora pulled out the claws, covered in blood, out of Cronus' dead body, causing its body to twitch a bit. A faint chuckle escaped the bloody jaws as Cronus lay in a pile of gore on the cold floor. He got up weakly, laughing uncontrollably like an insane, lunatic killer, until he fell on his face.

"Sora… What the fuck did you just do?" Enzo asked in utter confusion and fear as he watched in awe, trembling and paralyzed in fear and shock at the horrifying sight.

Sora glared down at Cronus and lifted him up, facing his limp, lifeless body. "Enzo... that human was trying to stop this from ever happening; he was also very close to the King of Dreaburg."

"SO YOU'RE SAYING HE DESERVED TO DIE BECAUSE OF THAT?" Enzo questioned me angrily, running in front of me and pointing a finger up at him in accusation as if Sora were some kind of monster. He is a monster; there is no human being that I have ever seen who has lacked compassion to this extent.

Sora's claw dug deeper, penetrating the ground, causing dirt and rock fragments to burst forth. The dark mana spread throughout the surrounding landscape as Sora looked down at him while still clutching him tightly within his grasp. "Enzo, did you know there is a special ingredient in the brains of my brethren called void dust, which can amplify my dark mana a thousandfold?"

Enzo stared blankly into the crimson depths below him before shaking his head and swallowing hard. His entire face looked drained and pale, even in those dimly lit surroundings. The Dark Magic released devastating power.

Sora brought up his foot to stomp down and crush the head of his lifeless body, releasing a sickening sound of bones being crushed and smashing against the solid dirt ground below it.

Sora's eyes glowed like hot coals, and he appeared like a demon as his deep-set pupils looked towards us while gazing upon this scene, staring straight at us with eyes that were nearly red like a fiend from hell. They glowed brightly under this darkness while emitting a scarlet glow of evilness towards them as his features became even sharper and more threatening than before.
