Anxiety

They continued clashing their blades until Reagan managed to land a hit on Future Sora.

"This is getting tiring, I'm going to finish this quickly."

Reagan swung his blade at Future Sora, but he easily dodged the attack.

"You're not fast enough, Reagan."

Future Sora rushed at Reagan and knocked him to the ground.

"This is the end, Reagan."

Reagan quickly got up and stabbed Future Sora in the chest. "What the..." Future Sora was stunned, he could not believe he was actually losing to Reagan.

"Sora it's sad to see you like this when I have been your teacher for months, I never expected a future where you would turn out like this." Reagan said with sorrow in his eyes.

"Fuck you, Reagan."

Future Sora kicked Reagan and freed himself from his grasp, then he jumped backwards and created a portal. "This isn't over." Future Sora said as he walked through the portal.

Reagan was panting heavily and was trying to catch his breath. "I'll get you, Sora, I promise."

Reagan collapsed and almost lost consciousness.

"Reagan!" I exclaimed.

"I'm fine, Sora, but we have to get out of here before he comes back."

"What are we going to do? How do we get out?"

Reagan put his hand on the shadow prison and absorbed all of the magic that was keeping us in, it took a lot of his energy but he was able to do it and save us once again.

"I'm sorry, everyone, but I couldn't defeat him. I have failed as a mentor and protector."

"No, Reagan, it's not your fault. He was just too strong." I said trying to comfort him.

"Whatever, let's just get back home." Reagan said. I could tell that he was tired, I was tired from all this fighting, when does it get better, when will I finally get a break?

"Yeah, let's go."

We started walking home and I looked back at the place we had just left.

"What the hell are you doing, Sora?" Remi said.

"Oh, nothing." I said.

"I'm going to take a nap. You guys can wake me up if something important happens." Reagan said.

"Okay." Remi and I both said.

"Are you alright, Sora?" Leo asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"You don't seem fine, are you sure you're not hurt?"

"Yes, I'm sure."

"Okay, well, if you ever need to talk, I'm here."

"Thanks, Leo."

"It's no problem."

The sun was setting and we decided to go to the dining hall for dinner. The food was delicious, as usual, and we all ate our fill. After dinner, we all went our separate ways. I walked up to my room and laid on my bed, trying to sleep, but I couldn't get the image of Future Sora out of my head.

"Why would he want to kill me? And what memories are sealed? There has to be some reason."

I decided to take a bath, maybe that would help me relax. I undressed and got in the tub. It was nice and warm and it felt good on my body.

"Ahhh, that feels nice."

I closed my eyes and let the water wash over me. I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened today. How could someone so evil exist? How could that person be me? What could have happened that made me so unbelievably cold towards everyone? There were all these questions but none of them seemed to have a definitive answer.

"Maybe I should ask someone about this."

"Maybe I should just ask Reagan."

"No, no, that would be weird. I don't want to bother him."

"Maybe I'll ask him tomorrow."

"Yeah, tomorrow."

I fell asleep and dreamed about a life where I was never taken from my home and lived a happy, carefree life with my family and friends. It was a wonderful dream. When I woke up the next morning, I felt refreshed and ready to take on the day.

I had breakfast and went to train with Remi. She was very excited because we were going to be sparring against each other.

"I'll show you what I've learned, Sora." Remi said.

"Let's do this, Remi."

"Ready? Set? Go!"

Remi and I ran towards each other and began fighting. She was pretty good, but I was still better. After about 10 minutes, I had her pinned down and was about to strike the final blow.

"Looks like I win, Remi."

"I don't think so, Sora.

Remi pushed me off her and grabbed her dagger.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm gonna kill you, Sora."

"What the hell, Remi? What are you talking about?"

"You're the one that's evil, Sora, you're the one that almost killed everyone, not me. I'm just doing what's right."

"What are you talking about, Remi? Get off me." I threw Remi off of me and stepped back. As she looked up at me, I noticed a gash on her head, and she started screaming. Those blood-curdling screams sent chills down my spine.

"YOU'RE A MURDERER. I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!" Remi screamed.

There was definitely something wrong, this seems uncharacteristic for Remi to be doing this. I ran back into the school and tried to find the Headmaster and see what was going on, The only thing I was able to find was Leo.

"LEO! You have to help me, Remi has gone insane!" I explained.

Leo blasted a bolt of electricity at me, and I stood there in complete shock. What the hell was going on?

"What are you doing back here? Williams exiled you out of the school for what you've done." Leo said.

My eyes narrowed, and my breathing became heavy. I could not believe what was going on.

"Leo please list-" My cries for help were cut off by Leo impaling me with a katana. I looked down and spat out blood.

"Die, traitor."

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I woke up in a cold sweat. It was just a dream.

"What the fuck is going on with my life." I thought.

I laid back down and tried to go back to sleep, but it was impossible. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw the events from the dream replay in my mind.

I got dressed and walked to the headmaster's office.

"Good morning, Mr. Sora, are you ready for today's training?" The headmaster said.

"Good morning, headmaster. Actually, I have a few questions I need to ask."

"What is it?"

"First, what memories of mine were sealed?"

He stood there silently. They were hiding something from me, what the hell did I do as a kid?

"Sora if I told you what you did as a child, I would be executed by the government. I did not seal any of your memories, it was the government that did." He explained

"The government sealed my memories?" I was shocked.

"Yes, they did."

"Why would the government do that?"

"Like I said Sora, I can't tell you why they did that. They would have me executed on the same day if I told you the stuff you did as a child before you came to this school."

"Why would the government execute you? You didn't do anything wrong."

"Sora, please understand, the stuff you did as a kid was so terrible, it was so bad that the government decided to wipe your memories so you could be reborn as a different person."

"That doesn't make sense, how could they have done that?"

"Sora, that is a conversation for another day, I can't tell you any more than that."

"Fine, then what about this future me? How can I defeat him?"

"To be honest, I don't think you can, he's just too strong."

"I'm not giving up, I'll train harder and get stronger. If it's the only way I'll ever see my family again, then it's worth it."

"Well, I guess there's no stopping you, just promise me you'll stay safe."

"I will."

I left the headmaster's office and headed outside to the training grounds.

"Hey, Sora, are you okay?" Reagan asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"I'm sorry for being harsh yesterday, it's just that seeing myself as a villain really shook me up. I didn't know what to do."

"It's okay, Reagan, I understand. It must have been difficult for you to see yourself like that."

"Thanks, Sora, but it's not over yet, we still have to figure out what Future Sora is planning. It's good that we are going this way because there is a village nearby and I felt mana disturbances so we can go check it out."

"Right, I'll do my best to help you, Reagan."

"Thank you, Sora."

We continued walking through the forest, and we came across a village we were looking for.

"Wow, this place is amazing." Reagan said.

"You've been to villages before, right?" I asked.

"Yeah, but not like this one."

"It's really beautiful."

We walked into the village and were greeted by the villagers.

"Hello, welcome to the village of Elysium." One of the villagers said.

"Hi, thanks for letting us come here."

"You're welcome, please enjoy your stay."

We went inside one of the houses and were greeted by a young woman.

"Welcome, please have a seat." The woman said.

"Thank you." We both sat down.

"My name is Luna, I'm the mayor of this village."

"My name is Reagan, and this is my friend Sora."

"It's a pleasure to meet you both."

"It's nice to meet you, Luna."

"So, why are you two here?"

"We're here to find out about a man named Sora and his plans. We noticed that these are his main whereabouts when he is not attacking us so I wonder if you villagers are affiliated with such a man in any way?" Reagan asked.

"Sora, you say? The one who is a mass murderer, who kills innocent people for the fun of it?"

"Yes, that is him."

"Well, we haven't seen him for a long time, but we have heard rumors that he has been attacking the other villages in the area."

"We need to find him as soon as possible, do you have any idea where he might be?"

"Hmm, I think the last place I heard he was spotted was in a town called Caelum."

"Caelum? That's not far from here."

"Yes, but it is a dangerous place. It's full of criminals and gangs."

"We have to go, we can't let him get away."

"I understand, but please be careful. It's a dangerous place."

"Thank you for your help, Luna."

"Good luck, you two."

"We'll do our best."

We left the village and started making our way to Caelum.
