"Wake up! Wake up!!" His alarm went off like crazy but he was not at his bed. Gen climbed out from the floor and attempted to his alarm clock that was on his bed drawer. The consistent wake up was annoying but it was the only sound he could get out from his slumber. 

Otherwise, he was a rather heavy sleeper mostly due to the amount of sleep debt he accumulated from the past few days. 

"Right...today's the assassination of G.B. Sigh...Why is there so much hate in this world?" Gen told himself as he continued to lie on the floor, staring at the ceiling. The ceiling which had been plastered with dozens of monitors with information that was needed to plan the assassination of the defence minister of the United Kingdom. 

Everything seemed to be going as per his plan. From the opera ticket which he duplicated for Viper to the information he got that there was a mole within the police force that could disrupt the operation.

Not to mention, being able to get Moth and Viper into this particular assassination mission was pure bliss. If he were to rank them as characters in a gacha game, they were probably under the five stars. Of course, he believed there were assassins out there that were of six or seven stars capability but there was a luxury that he could not afford.

Time. 

The assassination request came in extremely late, giving him less than 3 days to plan but he managed to do so in that time frame and the people who responded the fastest were Moth and Viper.

Needle, on the other hand, was considered to be part of the request. To take him on board as per the customer's requirements and use him if needed. So effectively, he was considered as the inspector of this mission to ensure that it succeeds. A deposit of five million British pounds was placed in his Hacker ID, Muramasa and another five would be given after the job was completed.

But he had suspicions that things might not go as planned. He found that the Royal Theatre had too many entry and exit points which could complicate things especially when he only had two assassins under his name. Still, he attempted to make things as simple as possible since from his experience, most city assassinations would never go as planned despite the advanced planning that was made. 

All he could do was to ensure there were enough contingencies to get the assassins under him back alive. And that was why his hacker ID was considered infamous in the underground society. 

The lifespan of an assassin is terribly short and they trained for many years to achieve a kill or two. But sometimes, it's not the skill of an assassin that shortchanged their lifespan, it is usually the handler behind the scenes. That was why when Gen had managed to coordinate successful assassinations not once not twice but numerous times to count, his ID became a big famous.

Those assassins who performed assassinations under his handle ID returned alive about 80% of the time. That kind of success rate was something to boast about and the money share is usually adequate as well. It was to the point, that some assassins under him retired early.

Some even said that the Handle ID that he used, Muramasa was apt for he was considered a legend and the blades he controlled were able to execute missions deemed impossible to complete. Of course, the price tag was high but it was worth it.

"I still feel that something is amiss..." Gen said as he picked a wireless keyboard that was right beside him and started typing mindlessly with one hand. There was a twitch in his right eye when he thought he completed the plan hours before but he thought he was merely sleepy. 

Yet, as intelligent and well educated as he was, he felt that there was a bad omen for tonight's mission. Gen knew he might be overthinking it but he decided to browse through the news and tabloids and sub Readdit forums to calm himself down.

It was not until he saw a very odd post that stood out, stating something extremely unusual. It was a sort of threat post on Defence Minister Garland Blaire who said that more troops would be deployed to Odd Half Island, a brand new huge island formed from an unusual underground sea earthquake in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

"Yet more troops had been deployed to this new island and no information had been given to us what they were doing there with the soldiers! However, all we have are more bodies coming back! What are they doing that caused the lives of those innocent sons and daughters to be extinguish? I shall warn you Mr Garbage! Retribution will come and the monsters will be upon you for you had taken my precious son away!" 

There was no doubt that the post was subsequently sanctioned by Reddit moderators and that made Gen curious about the Odd Half Island as well. But there was no time to think about that and a quick Google search was more than enough to know that there were some hidden activities going on in the new Odd Half Island especially it was something like the new frontier.

"Monsters, huh? Looks like we will be those monsters." Gen said as he closed his eyes a little longer for the creditors of sleep were chasing after him.
